Love this coffeemaker!
We absolutley love this coffeemaker. We have been purchasing this model for many years. It is simple to use and makes a great cup of coffee. Easy to maintain with the clean mode and we can change the filters easily. Cuisinart is always there for questions or issues and I always register it right away so that if there are any issues, you are in their system and they will totally stand behind their product. I recently had an issue with mine after a few years and because it was registered, they recognized me immediately and replaced my coffeemaker for a brand new one.

How to prevent a flooded counter
The pause and serve feature relies on a small plastic tab to keep the filter basket in place. If you remove the filter basket to empty the filter over time the tab gets worn out or bent. The pot will push against the pause and serve stopper and instead of raising the stopper it lifts the filter basket. The coffee fills up in the filter basket instead of draining from it. This will cause an overflow onto the counter once the filter basket has backed up far enough. If it looks like the lid isn't flush to the surrounding surface when closed then it is likely that the stopper didn't open and the basket raised instead due to the basket tab or clip not working. Overflow will be likely to occur. When removing the filter basket I wear dishwashing gloves to protect from heat. Then I gently flex the tab behind the stopper towards the front of the coffee pot. When reinstalling the filter basket make sure that the tab makes it safely through the hole for the pause and serve stopper on the bottom of the filter basket. I gently flex the tab forward slightly when reinstalling. This is why I suspect most people have had their counters flooded with hot coffee. Hopefully the engineers redesign this. The other aspects of this coffee pot work well.

    Great coffee maker.
Great coffee maker. Easy to use. Many brew options. Delicious coffee every time. Option for just 1-4 cups and also amazing for large amounts when guests are on hand.

    Our 2nd Cuisinart!
Our second Cuisinart coffee maker is even better than the first one, which we had for many years. We make coffee every day. The old one was a 12 cup, and we got the 14, which has an even better build. Coffee stays hot and maintenance is easy.

The title fits the functions of the coffeemaker.
At this time, our only complaint is that moisture drips down the back of the coffeemaker when we open the lid to pull the basket out. The coffee is great. Read your instructions (ie-how much coffee you put in and how fine the grind is). 4 stars is because we haven't had the coffeemaker for very long to give it any higher or lower.

    Design could be better
Love the coffee maker overall but there are just a couple of design issues they could fix. 1. If you make under 4 cups, you have to select a 1-4 cup button before brewing and I don't know why this step should be necessary. 2. The lid of the coffee pot has to be completely removed to fill. Then you have to snap it back on before brewing the coffee into it. I wish it had a hinged lid because it is easy to forget to place the lid back on to allow the coffee to drip into the carafe and then the filter overflows and sends coffee grounds into the water receptacle making a huge mess. A hinged lid would always be on the pot preventing one from forgetting to put it on after pouring your water into the receptacle.

Best coffee pot I've ever purchased!
I really love my new Cuisinart Programmable 14 cup coffee maker! For one, It holds 14 cups and HELLO!! That's a win right there! It's also programmable which is awesome, and perfect for our home! We set it up the night before and it brews as my husband's alarm goes off in the am, so he has fresh coffee without having to wait nor fill it up himself. That's why he loves it! It's also very beautifully designed having black accents but mainly stainless steel, so it matches our decor! That's why I love it, aside from the fact that it holds 14 cups and you already know how I feel about that lol... we have ours set up to stay on for 4 hours as that's the max.

    Good product with some flaws
This coffeemaker does brew a great cup of coffee. It's easy to program and use and looks very nice in the kitchen. It does however have an annoying flaw. Whenever you lift the lid to the filter basket, a large amount of condensation runs down the back of the machine. A few drops would be normal but this is several tablespoonfuls. It's quite annoying

Very Good High Capacity Coffee Maker
I bought this to replace a 5 year old Cuisinart 12 cup coffeemaker that had died. I went with this model for its large 14 cup capacity and its aesthetics (stainless feint & sides). I found that cleaning the black plastic sides top with Lemon Pledge keeps the unit looking nice. The “Bold” button and the “1-4” cup settings make it easy to brew a stronger cup of coffee. The new “shower head” design does a better job of saturation all the coffee grounds, rather than having a single exit point for the heated water. It is easy to set the clock and program the unit. Very simple, so simple that you don't even need to look at the manual. The ONLY reason I don't give this 5 stars is that the area to pour water into the reservoir is a bit narrow. It takes some practice to aim into that area without spilling water. Practice makes perfect. This is a very good coffee maker.
