they are lighter than his work boots. he still has his ankle problems with these shoes. they are sturdy and nice looking. they might be better for younger people

    Lace hooks failed too early
    2 lace hooks on the same side and same shoe came off after about 4 months. And I didn't use them much for a couple of months, so this is way to early to have a problem like this. I am unable to lace one boot up on the upper ankle.

    At first these boots seemed very nice. Got them for my husband for Christmas. the very first time he put them on he went to lace them up and the top hook broke off. Very disappointing.

    Real bad shoe design!!!
    Shoes looked nice, but the padding on the top of the shoe is badly overdone. The padding created a pressure sore on my ankle area. With me being in a wheelchair this was a very problematic situation. Stay away!!!

    Gave them away. Most uncomfortable shoes I've ever bought. To call these boots is a gross exaggeration. These are in no way boots let alone hiking boots. They are cut so low they do not cover your ankles at all. They are cut like any other pair of sneakers. By offering no ankle support these can in no way be used for hiking. They have a large ridiculous amount of padding around the foot opening making them impossible to wear tied snugly as the rub from the padding becomes painful rather quickly!

    Lace catch broke off of 2 different pair the 1st time putting on. Wore 1 pair less than a month and the sole gave out.

    These are great boots my only disappointment is I was pulling the strap on one of the metal pieces where you tired on to and it went flying it broke other than that these are wonderful shoes I highly recommend them
