Car seat fabric is IMPOSSIBLE to get off and back on
We had to take the cover off to wash this, and oh my goodness, it was nearly impossible to get off and now we cannot figure out how to get it back on!! We’ve read the manual, which is zero help, and we can’t find any online videos showing how to take it off and get it back on. I’m tempted to make a YouTube video showing me and my husband wresting with the seat fabric, trying to get it on and off!! Unfortunately we bought three of these seats. Major major major regret. I should have stuck with Nuna exec or Maxi Cosi.

    Awesome Car seat
    Nothing bad to say about this. Brand was recommended by family. Love the versatility and even took it on a plane to use in a rental car on vacation. Very sturdy car seat!

    It's a great car seat just not user friendly
    It's a great car seat however the instructions are very hard to understand and there are a lot of different components! It is slim and my son has lots of space to move his arms and legs which is so much better then his infant car seat!

    Very difficult to install. Sadly, had to return it. Need to feel confident my baby is safe and will only feel safe if I know it's installed well. Very sturdy and lots of safety, sad had to return it. Very tall for rear facing so only fits in center seat or behind no one

    I wanted to like this seat but it's literally got so many rules and pieces and parts that using if properly is almost impossible. This seat says it starts at 4lbs but there's no way it fits a baby that small. My son was 9 months old before he could use it. It's HUGE front to back even with the piece you have to buy separately. I let a friend borrow it for their 4 year old nephew while he stayed with them and he was already too tall to use it. The booster mode didn't work for the 7 year old either so the seat is only useable for a few years. At that price I would expect it to work better and longer and be easier to use. I'm a certified car seat tech and at seat check events I've never once found someone using this brand of seat properly. Stay away!

    Buy it at Sam's club
    I love this car seat! It is super comfy for our baby, easy to install, easy to buckle in and out of, feels very sturdy, and it looks sleek. I love that this model comes with the anti-rebound bar and provides that extra layer of protection. I also like that the car seat has better breathability than our Britax one4life and is much easier to unbuckle. We have the Britax one4Life for our oldest child and the Britax has a difficult buckle and although it feels sturdy it's a pain to unbuckle and often gets stuck. I finally bought an unbuckling tool because I have joint issues and it was killing my thumb. I haven't needed to use that with the Diono. I have a full size SUV and bought the leveling wedge by Diono, but ended up not using it because it saves inches between back of seat and the driver seat but our baby couldn't lean back comfortably and fall asleep, she's 1 year old and rear facing. The leveling wedge kept her way to upright where if she fell asleep she was in a really uncomfortable angle. I'm really petite so it works for me, but my husband can't drive comfortably without the leveling wedge installed and he's 6'1". I have a mid-full size SUV with decent leg room in the middle row. Only thing that concerns me is that the sides of the baby are fairly open/exposedin the Diono in comparison to the Britax and makes me wonder how that would uphold in a side impact collision. While the open sides make it easier to get baby in and out, it is still a point of concern. Sam's club has this model at the lowest price I've ever seen, $255. I got it at $280 because it wasn't on this sale, bit if you decide to purchase this car seat, I recommend you purchase it through Sam's.

    Durable Car Seat
    Super heavy and very durable. Makes me feel a lot safer about my child being in it. My child is on the smaller size for his age, and this accommodates him better than our Graco. Another plus we liked was the adjustment for when he does get bigger. The straps do not adjust with the headrest like our Graco did, I can adjust the headrest to fit my child and the straps separately. The only con to it, is that I haven't been a fan of the cup holder. My kid pulls it out and throws it, maybe I just haven't figured out how to secure it properly.
