Lightweight but Powerful!
I am embarrassed by the dirt that came up out of my bedroom carpet! If you look at the picture I uploaded-the one labeled Dirt-wow! The dirt you see in the cup is just after the first and only use so far, done on my bedroom carpet. How gross is that! Very powerful vacuum.

I'm not sure if my vacuum came with the filter and the part the filter is on that sucks up everything into the filter. I just realized something was wrong after using it a few times and not realizing it wasn't sucking anything up. Where can I get that part? I can't find anywhere... any help would be great. thanks

    Compact vacuum, small but mighty worker. Great suction, goes from tile floors to wood and carpet easily. No bags to purchase, just empty the container and go! Love that

    GREAT Buy. Highly recommend.
    Only 4 stars cause they need to include the long hose attachments. other than that its great. I always keep all hose attachments from prior vaccuums for a reason. This vacuum packs alot of power for a small vacuum. Lightweight as well. Picks up alot of dirt from carpet that was already cleaned from a different vacuum per photo. The photo is what this Dirt Devil cleaned up AFTER I used that Bissell pet vaccum that the motor went out on. THE Bissell lasted maybe a year. I've always gone back to the Dirt Devil and never had problems. The price is great. I have a sewing business on the side and I use it everyday to clean up the threads all over my carpet. It NEVER misses any.

    Great vacuum!
    I had bought this vacuum because my old one started to give out. I was skeptical about buying this one because of all the bad reviews but the price was a steal and thought to myself I'll just return it if it leads to that. I had tried it out when I got home and WOW! it really gets the job done! I had last vacuumed my house with the old vacuum I had, (Bissell it was old but it still got the job done) about 2 weeks ago before I left for vacation. So nobody is in my house for that time. Yes, it is a small compacted but it's awesome at suction. the amount of dirt it picked up amazed me! of course people say that it shoots out dirt and doesn't work and such but upon reading the directions, it let's you be aware of that because of its size, it needs to be cleaned out after a certain amount of dirt is in the container so it won't happen. I love this vacuum and I am pleased with the purchase, if all else fails with it, I will update my review.

    Works well and cheap
    For $40 buck this vacuum does a pretty great job. I bought this for my apartment which has minimal carpet. It was easy to put together and is very light weight. The canister is sometimes hard to take out/ put back in but that could be due to my own user error. I do notice after vacuuming, there is dust all over the top and bottom of the canister though.... no sure if something just loose or what. But overall happy with the purchase.

    Works but ......
    This vacuum does pick up dirt and doesn't do a bad job of it. The problem is it doesn't have a height adjustment. The front of the vacuum just floats on the carpet. So if you have a thick pile carpet, such as a shag, it is very hard to push forward. Pulling back towards you is ok. We have a low pile plush carpet that it works good on. But on the shag you better be prepared for a shoulder workout. If you need a vacuum and don't want to spend much money this will work ok. But you're getting pretty much what you pay for.

    LIGHT WEIGHT AN EFFECENT!
    I was looking for a vacuum that would fit under my bed. I have a cat that has been shedding all summer. I have been using a mop but , thought a vacuum , if I could find one to slide under my bed that would be great. the photo of the DIRT DEVIL POWER EXPRESS appeared to be very slim and sort of just tube like. ( photo was very small and vacuum was gray in photo ) the discription said it would go under a bed so I ordered it. In no time it was delved to my door. the DIRT DEVIL POWER EXPRESS UPRIGHT VACUUM was not what I expected but, I unpacked it to find it to be pretty spiffy ! I love the RED Dirt Devil appearance. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that it is very LIGHT WEIGHT. No huffing and puffing to get through cleaning the house with a heavy weight vacuum. the DIRT DEVIL POWER EXPRESS has a good size dirt cup that shows the motor swirling around collecting cat fur, Cheerios , dust , and dirt. I must say the cord could be a bit longer for my house. my kitchen 12x 17. Don't know why , but dislike having to plug in at another outlet . The DIRT DEVIL POWER EXPRESS THERE ARE TOOLS INCLUDED, A CREVICE TOOL, A SHORT HOSE, A FILTER, and NOZZLE. Sorry to say it will not fit under my bed that is 7 inches from the floor but the light weight, the bright red color and powerful suction won me over It's a keeper at our house

    Wow! I am so surprised at how much suction this vacuum has. I did not think that it would have as much suction as it does. When I removed the item from the box and put it together, my first thought was that it seems a little cheaply made for a Dirt Devil. It is small. And does not weight that much. Which makes it very easy to move around from room to room. And even to carry it. When I removed the hose from the bottom of the vacuum so that I could use the crevice feature, I had it turned on already, and it sucked the expandable hose all together. It stood straight up from the machine. And with the vacuum being lite weight you have to hold on to the vacuum to use the crevice device and the brush. The suction pulls the vacuum to you. Which does make it a little harder to vacuum things. The on board attachments are on a base that really holds them in place. Not like some machines that the attachments can be knocked off real easy. The vacuum has a carrying handle that makes it easy to pick up and take where ever you would like. Also this vacuum does not have any type of height adjustment. I do not know if it does it itself. I have vacuumed a large rug and a wood floor and it got all the dirt. Although I was not able to do my bathroom rugs as the suction was so strong it just sucked the rug into the vacuum. I do not like the way that the vacuum is released from a standing position. All you do is step on the vacuum and pull back on the arm. Not a fan of this. After a while this way does not work as the contact spots get wore down. Then you have a vacuum that will not stand upright unless against something.

    My thoughts on Dirt Devil Power Express Vacuum
    Not much assembly was needed, one screw was really all it was. I had it hard at work in minutes after un boxing it. It did pretty good for being a small vacuum. I hit the 2 persian rugs in my studio right off the bat and they seemed to have gotten rather clean. The canister is not very hard to empty. The cord is average length. I think the only downfall is not having a light on it. That's my only critique. It seemed to have average power and not hard at all to roll across the floor. I would recommend this to family and friends. 4 out of 5 stars from me.

    Extremely Light
    This is an extremely light vacuum cleaner. It does the same job as a regular vacuum. Only no where near as heavy. To be so light weight and small, it does a great job! It can do the the job as well as any larger and heavier vacuum. This one is great for some one who could be disabled and can't push a regular size vacuum because it's to heavy. It's perfect for that. This is the best vacuum for someone can still get around and can vacuum but can't deal with the weight of a regular vacuum.
