Must Have
This is a "Must Have," tool for everyday use. This Dremel comes with a sharpening guide, to easily sharpen your gardening shears. The Cordless Dremel is small and light-weight, making it easy to use for long hours, without tiring out your wrist and hands. This is, especially, beneficial for smaller people and women. The compact size of the Dremel, fits into my Dremel workbox. This workbox, goes with me to many Craft Shows. Since the Cordless Dremel is so versatile, it has become my "go-to" tool. The Dremel has two settings, Hi and Low. The high speed is very powerful for a quick job. The low speed had just the right amount of power to complete a long, delicate, silversmithing project, from start to finish. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Lacking quality control
Have used this model for years with the only weak link being the battery. My latest unit showed a quality standard that has declined. The included tools were broken as well as their case. The charger did not function at all. I hope they will fix these issues.

Won't replace a corded Dremel, but a good tool.
It doesn't seem to have as much power/RPM as the corded models, but is sufficient to get jobs done where dragging an extension cord around would be a pain. Was able to grind an angle on a steel bar for a fence latch with it, so is not underpowered. Wouldn't replace my corded Dremel with it, but is a good addition to my tool box.

    Great for pet's nails
I use this for my dog's nails and it does a much better job than those advertised as for pets. Recommend using a diamond grinding head very fine grit and not he sandpaper that comes with it. It remains cooler versus the sandapaper when doing your pet's nails.

If you buy one Dremel tool, buy this one!
If you only plan on buying one Dremel tool, the Dremel 7700 7.2V two-speed rotary tool is the one to buy. This is by far the most versatile and easy-to-use Dremel tool I have ever operated. It's cordless and lightweight, which makes it easy to grab and take anywhere you need to go. But its battery is long lasting and powerful enough to get most small- to medium-sized jobs done without recharging. I have worked with Dremel tools for variety of projects, and I'm fairly well versed in many of their uses. But I decided to test drive the 7700 model for something I had never used a Dremel before – sharpening garden tools. I expected this job to take maybe half an hour at max, but I had two sets of bypass pruners, two sets of hand bypass cutters, and two sets of lopping shears sharpened in less than 10 minutes. Yes, there was a bit of a learning curve (I occasionally went off the edge – as you can tell by the before-and-after pictures), but within seconds these tools had a sharper edge on them than they had when they were purchased! The battery power held up very well for this job, too. There was no noticeable loss of power from the first tool until the last. Two things to note. If you do use this as a sharpening tool, you MUST wear eye protection - the sparks can be impressive. Also, I'm not a big fan of the garden tool sharpener. It was designed to hold the Dremel at the proper angle for an optimum edge. But it didn't work well with the curved blades of the bypass pruners, so I just “eyeballed” the edge with a grinding wheel, which worked just fine. Unless you're doing a lot of in-place, heavy duty grinding, sanding, or drilling (think carving rocks for jewelry), forget about buying a corded Dremel and go for the cordless 7700. You'll be glad for its versatility (it comes with a nice set of accessories for lots of different jobs), durability and, most of all, ease of use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Mini yet Powerful!
I have found that cords can be a little distracting when your out working in the yard or even a distance from a working electrical socket. I found the solution, the Dremel 7700-1/15 7.2 volt Multi Pro Cordless, yes I said cordless. This new Dremel tool with the rechargeable battery solves that issue nicely. I had some work to do on my shed outside, the walls were buckling from the ground shifting and didn't want a long clunky extension cord attached to me power tool getting in my way. I grabbed my new Dremel and I didn't think it could get easier. I used it to drill the started holes for new screws, I also used the sander attachment to remove the rust from the door hinges and other metal work. It was fast and simple. The battery charges in less than 3 hours and lasts at least twice that. When I first got my new Dremel it has something unbelievable in the box, unbelievable for a cordless tool that is. It came with an attachment to sharpen lawn mower blades and I just had to try it. It worked pretty good for a cordless, took a little longer but the edge was back to specs, totally surprised me. This is a great little yet powerful tool for your DIY arsenal. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Cordless Dremel
This tool is exactly what I need to begin my current project, which will be a few pieces of outdoor furniture. The Dremel will allow me to add finishing touches that would make the furniture unique. I especially like the cordless (portability).

    Great all around tool
I do landscape work and sharpened ALL my tools with my new Dremel 7700 7.2v. Hedgers, chainsaws, pruners, & mower blades in no time at all. Best of all I can take it wherever I go and be ready for most anything. Next I am removing old grout & put in new.

    Handy!
I bought this Dremel to replace another one that is about ten years old. The old one still works but is starting to give me problems. This is one of those tools that you never thought you needed until you get one. Once you get used to having it around you find that you can use it for a thousand tasks around the house. If you are the handy man, or woman, around your house this little tool will make your life so much easier. Let me suggest that you buy Dremel accessories in kits. Individual accessories are well made but also expensive. It is usually much cheaper to buy larger multi use kits.

    great tool for model making
I am pleased with the 7700, it works great for my model building. I bought it to replace dremel's previous 700 model. I do think the older model was better built. I have had problems with the battery staying locked in place and also the arbor lock is harder to ingage then the older model. But for the price I am very happy with the 7700.
