Low quality parts used
Got this few months back but my kid really started using it recently. Immediately he complained about the pedal being too hard. Checked and found it to be true. Opened up the crank and was surprised to find both bearings damaged. Bearing balls had popped out and the bearing casing was bent. Looked for a replacement in nearby bike shops but none had the size. Ordered them online and those are of much better quality. Ones that came with the bike were made for very thin metal, new ones feel solid. Installed them and my son is now happy. Also be advised that this is a heavy bike.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/26/2021Awesome bike for little guys!I bought this bike for my five year old. He rides without training wheels and needed a bigger bike. He absolutely loves it. The pedal brakes still work but he feels like a big guy with the hand brake. The colors are so bright and really stand out. This was a great purchase!Melanie

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/03/2021Missing a training wheel.Nice bike looks good.. did notice some tuning was need overall pretty happy. HOWEVER it only came with one training wheel. It's my sons first bike and Easter present so the training wheels are a necessity. Bummer had to go spend extra money to buy them again.Kristy

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/17/2020The price may not be worth the headacheWe received it well. The instructions leave out very specific details for you to know where bolts and attachments are to go. We didnt have all bolts/tools included.(for example no bolts to hold training wheels on or to attach the tire) The pedals will not stay on regardless of proper attachments and constant tightening. Same with the handle bar system. It is a wonderful bike once you have to go out and buy more supplies just to use it.Marisa

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/08/2020Good, not great. Requires a little tunning.Solid frame with some areas that could be improved. My 2 main issues are: (1) rear coaster and bearing assembly is very weak/cheap. The rear axle nuts were tightened down upon delivery and very hard to rotate (bearings crushed). I completely disassembled rear hub and bearing assembly, reassembled and torqued to what I found was a best compromise between tightness and free play in the bearings to allow my son to peddle and free coast. Hopefully the other commenter reads and this helps them. I also adjusted chain tension when I put it back together, it seemed excessively tight when we pulled it from the box. Now the rear axle and wheel can free coast still a hint of grinding (not happy with that). Bearings not smooth operating at all. However, unless spending real money on a bike I find this a common issue. (2) No kickstand! really? on a 16"? My son stopped using trainers on a 12". It's funny cause my son was looking forward to having a kickstand and he was bummed. I guess I should have read the QJacob

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/22/2020READ ALL THE REVIEWS!! DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE!Do NOT buy this bike unless you like to gamble. Many many reviews have mentioned the front wheel not fitting into the assembly. This was the case for me as well. It isn't operator error. Literally, the wheel is too large for the brackets. Read ALL the reviews but do NOT buy this bike unless you like being tortured!Jeremiah
