Addicted to vacuum!
Since we got a new kitten we decided to give it a shot on Omni-glide on the hardwood floor. It is excellent on handling and maneuvering around corners and in-between furnitures. I like the Dyson Ball that I have but it is a drag when using using it is for vacuum 14 hardwood stairs from up and down. It is not cordless so I have to plug and unplug 4 times all over my house to get the job done. Not to mention the weight of it. And we became so lazy that we barely vacuum our house probably 2 times a month. Not until we got the Omni-glide, we have been vacuuming every single day now. The replaceable battery is the key I decided to buy this great product. Love it. Love it. And Love it!

Expensive and fatally flawed
The small casters that allow the head to glide omni-directionally become hopelessly clogged with hair and debris and there is no way to remove them for cleaning. If there are pets with fur in your home, this vacuum will not fail. Dyson suggests cleaning after use with tweezers, so if you want to spend more time cleaning the vacuum than vacuuming this might be for you. If not, look elsewhere.

    Very disappointed in Dyson
    Basically a good product but almost immediately the lower unit attachment failed. Dyson was notified on multiple occasions. Dyson did not replace the part and it would not even let me buy the replacement part. The warranty is a bad joke an Dyson acts like it couldn't care less.

    Some great features, but lacks suction power
    Maneuverability of the head on hard floors and around obstructions is outstanding. However, the suction power of the unit is poor. If you use the crevice tool (with the brush down) on crumbs, you can see that it doesn't sufficiently pick up the debris completely (worse suction than an inexpensive smaller hand held vacuum). Which leads me to believe that the main head is more "wiping" the floor with its fuzzy rollers than actually sucking up what it needs to. I have tried exchanging the item and experienced the same lack of suction on the newer one, so I don't think the problem was with a dysfunctional unit. Presuming this must be a lack of suction for the entire line of the Omni-glide. If the suction worked as it should, this would be a 5 star vacuum for hard wood floors.

    Major Design Flaw - Tiny Wheels
    The tiny wheels get clogged with hair and it's very difficult to clean them out. I use tweezers to remove and it takes a long time and clogs up again with one use. The device is genius in theory and when it is working right it's great, but if you have someone with long hair in your house, it will be a constant headache.

    Great Modern Broom!!1
    I bought this last fall when we put LVPing down in the whole house. It is so easy to run as it is so light! We have a dog that sheds very fine hair, and this gets it all. This is our 3rd Dyson as still have our original purple Pet, and purple cordless I used for spot cleaning when we had carpet. My husband said that I was just wanting a more modern model of "broom" as I wore my rush one out teaching!!! Dyson rules!!!

    Great for Hard Floor, Glide Wheels Need Redesign
    Great light weight tool, charges fast. As an engineer, I think I may modify the glide wheels so they are easily removable for cleaning. I use tweezers between charging and blower to clean. I have two Riccar vacuums for carpets but hate bags, so my next vacuum will be a Dyson.

    Dad has patents w/ competitor but I use Dyson
    This is the perfect vacuum for a small apt; small, super-effective, totally eliminates that NYC grime. As your average New Yorker, I have a very compact space, too much furniture, and the hustle and bustle of the city meant sweeping every day. Then I got a Maine Coon, so I had to get a vacuum; luckily, this took up the same amount of space as the dustpan. Now I spend less time cleaning more grime. My one major gripe with this product—and this does surprise me as Dyson are very operable—are the 4 wheels on the omnidirectional soft roller cleaner. Those 4 wheels are magnets for hair! Multiple times a week, I find myself using an exacto to cut the hair out. However, the omni ability to move under a couch, get into small spaces, and compact size is enough to rule out the larger, non-omni "animal" model. Please add pins that are easily removable to the next iteration of this model. You could even sell ones to replace the existing ones since the platform they are mounted on is removable.

    it is too hard to empty and clean it
    emptying it is a headache. hair wraps around it and you have to put your hand inside and pull them out. other than that I love it. great suction, tiny and gets on charger easily and does not take too much space, very light and easy to maneuver around the house.

    This Could Be Love!!
    Yes, I am in love with our new Dyson Omni-glide! We have 1,500 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring in our main floor greatroom and we use our Omni-glide every day. My husband and I have been enjoying it for 5 months now and both of us think it is perfect for our needs. We have a sweet Rat Terrier, Gidget, and even though she's small, she sheds like a Husky! We both vacuum with our Omni-glide at least once a day to get up Gidget's hair, as well as dust, from the hardwood floor. We also use it throughout the day to vacuum up crumbs from cooking and eating around the kitchen island and dining table. The Omni-glide's maneuverability is crazy wonderful! Vacuuming around chair and table legs and the stairs is a breeze. I am also able to vacuum all the way under our sofas and coffee table! No more dust bunnies here! I love using the duster attachment for baseboards, window sills, and tabletops. In addition, the Onmi-glide is small, lightweight, and simple to empty. It's easy to charge and holds a charge very well. We keep it charging all the time so it's always ready to use. We still have our Dyson V8 Absolute for vacuuming our area rugs and basement carpeting.

    We have 2 chihuahuas that shed alot. We have area rugs, tile and laminate wood floors. I was constantly Swiffering....I use this and it's a huge difference. It's fabulous on the dog hair. I love that it twists and turns any way....gets right to the baseboards...Glad I purchased this.

    It's okay
    It's good for hard floors, but the suction is not as strong as I had hoped. Plus it doesn't hold much dirt and bigger debris gets stuck and clogs it up. I was disappointed that it didn't come with something to hang or keep the attachments together. I have to store them separately and will likely misplace them eventually. I had wanted a Dustin for a while, so I am a little disappointed with spending so much on this product.
