Better instructions needed
Set up was okay, but could use a little more explanation. When I put fitbit on charger and plugged it in, the face lit up, so I thought it was fully charged. I deleted my old fitbit and then found I still needed to charge the new one. So I lost some data.

Beware Download or update the Fitbit app to set up
1 week in, and I've wasted hours searching for how to get the darn thing to update with usable firmware!!!! (Possible) Pros: I like a lot of features of my older model fitbit--especially the app: sleep analyses, active minutes, the weekly exercise check box screen, how it's water resistant (don't shower or bath with it, and avoid soaps or chemicals), the ability to join and make private forums for support of like-minded people, and some of the simpler challenges. Cons: The app updates, though, are sometime rough, watches tend to die sometimes (like mine after 18 months), and the app constantly pushes ads for the subscription service to allow lots more wacky challenges and some coaching features. Seeing other reviews of people who have gotten their Charge 4 to work suggests its a bit weaker in some respects than previous models. Warning

I can no longer wear the fit bit.
I have had this fit bit almost a year and one part of the device where the band fits has broken. The band no longer stays put. So the device keep falling off my wrist so I can no longer wear it.

Works well but not for long with manual labor
First off I love my fitbit charge 4 and i have used them when they came out. It works well, however there is something that needs improvement. I'm on my second pair and probably last. It had just broke the same way as the first one. I work as a mechanic and im constantly put my arms into though and tight spots and so i like the low profile of the watch. My problem is with the bracket on the watch itself and that it screws into plastic mounts. both pairs have broken at that plastic mount and theres no way to fix it without replacing the whole bottom and at that point you may as well replace it. Again I love the fitbits but this is a common problem for me and i will probably look for a different watch. If this problem is resolved or if its not a problem on the newer one i will come back.

    Not Happy
Don't waste your money! I bough this fitbit 7 months ago and the band broke on yesterday. Apparently the only way the band on this Charge 4 will last is if you don't wear it and that defeats the whole purpose. The band at the connector broke and cannot be fixed, and it's not just wear and tear from reading all of the comments on the forums onFitbit.com site. A lot of unhappy people.

    So far, so good.
So far so good. Comparing this to a Fitbit Charge 3 which died after 2 years. A little disappointed that some features (e.g. Weights workout) were dropped. We'll see if it lasts.

Love my new Fitbit Charge 4.
This is my second one. I purchased the 1st one on 3/9/2020. But the battery suddenly died. So, I actually bought an Apple Series 3 Smartwatch but when I found out it has to be charged every 18 hours I returned it. Love the new Charge 4 and it only has to be charged every 7 days.

    Wonderful Experience
I had a very delightful experience. Got the Fitbit I wanted easily. It was delivered exactly when they said it would be as well. I'm truly enjoying my Fitbit Charge 4 and loving that I can wear it in the shower or swimming.

    Highly Satisfied
I had a charge 2 for several years before upgrading to this. It works excellent and it is so lightweight that I forget I have it on! I bought a pretty fabric band for it and have had no problems whatsoever!

Cant connect It looks nice on my wrist
Really don't know how good it is because i cant get the dang thing to connect to my Samsung. If Fitbit wants to be separate from cell phones they need to make it a lot easier to connect to an Android. Maybe I should have just downloaded an App to my phone...

Good - unless Apple Health is important to you
As a long time iPhone user I was disappointed to see that full integration with Apple Health is not implemented, and Fitbit has no intention on ever making it 100% compatible. Fitbit seems to think they will somehow lose sales to Apple if they were to do this. I believe the very opposite to be true. There are 3rd party apps that you can purchase to copy the daily totals from Fitbit to Apple Health, but the entry is done all at once at 23:59 as opposed to having data points collected throughout the day with the Apple iPhone or Apple Watch. If you want to feel good about your step counts, the Fitbit will count substantially more steps than the Apple Watch. On a lazy day where I sat in a chair mostly, the Apple Watch counted 2500 vs 4100 on the Fitbit. The Fitbit battery lasts for several days, which is great. The sleep tracking feature works very well if you are interested in improving your sleep. The Fitbit is also small and lightweight, making it less annoying to wear long term.
