WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! BUY ONE!!!
We have saved A LOT of money on food with this machine. vacuum sealing foods makes them last so much longer. Not only raw/uncooked foods but all of our left overs are vacuum sealed and they last twice as long for future consumption. Another huge plus is, we use the FoodSaver machine to reseal/vacuum seal food items in their original packaging which not only saves money on the food items but also saves money on the FoodSaver bags. Pretty much every bag of chips or snacks are re-sealable. We love this machine and we use it everyday!

New design bad idea
It sucks,even my neighbor agrees. Wanted one of the flat design, you sent me this so called update, I wanted one of the flat ones, had couple of those, this so called new design really sucks, Twice as long to operate when it works, Had a couple of friends try it they couldn't get it to work on a regular bases, something wrong with the electronics. Never again

    My FM5460 experience
    I tried to decide what I would be using my vacuum sealer for the most and landed on the FM5460. By keeping the FoodSaver on the counter in the kitchen I use it all the time. I wasn't sure how much I would use the zipper bag/jar sealer but the longer I have had it the more I find myself using it. I like the separate bag sealer cutter on the bottom. I also purchased the widemouth jar sealer and it works great as well. I have been very happy with my purchase. I gave it 5 stars right now because I have had no issues & I don't know what else they could do to improve this particular model.

    I absolutely love this makes life so much easier. The center press button makes it easy to seal your food. The bag cutter is also a great feature I just wish it had a bag holder where you store the bags.

    Vaccum Seal Your Worries Away!
    If you like to have your food fresh for longer period and are tired of throwing food away because of spoilage or just that annoying freezer burn, then you are ready to invest into a good vacuum sealer system. We use our food saver to extend the storage life of our foods. I've been able to save so much money just because I can buy in bulk, use a bit at a time without foods going bad: bread, cookies, herbs, veggies, meats, salads etc. I love the reusable zipper vacuum bags, and I keep stuff that I want to last a little longer in those - like guacamole and vegetables. We see such a difference in the items we freeze for later use. So easy to use and came with great bag start-up options. This product will save you money on your frozen meats by protecting them for longer periods of time. No freezer burn. Make sure you par freeze ground meat before sealing it. Otherwise the meat will spread out flat and make it hard to get it sealed. The handheld sealer works great on the Foodsaver bags, it's quick and simple to use. This device definitely excels at short to medium term storage, not sure if it will preserve foods for years. Lastly, this little machine barely takes up counter space, but it does have a busy corner in my kitchen. This is a must for anyone who buys food in bulk and wants to minimize the amount of food waste.

    My new 5460 Sealer
    The 5460 Series is much more advanced than te old 2000 model I used for 15+ years.I liked the review that suggested using a cerial box to prop up the bag while sealing te bags. Sure helped [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    FoodSaver FM5460 2-In-1
    Bought this as a replacement to one I bought over a decade ago. Very much improved over the years with ease of use, design. Looks nice on counted top and takes up very little space. Everything you need and use in one space. Very much worth the money and money you save. If into freezing or prolonged refrigerator life, definitely worth buying.

    Love the automatic features
    Just got it for Christmas....had two previously....unfortunately one was stolen when I moved after only having it a few months. My favorite unit so far, especially with the mini attachment which previously was a standalone and often used.

    Love it!
    Received this as a birthday gift from my wonderful brother. Absolutely love it. Using it to vacuum seal lettuce and other veggies in 1/2gallon mason jars. It's been two weeks, lettuce is still green and fresh. AMAZING! Leave FoodSaver on my countertop and using it daily with zipper vacuum seal/reseal bags to store cheese, lunch meat, etc. Have vacuum sealed and frozen, sausage, bacon, and chicken, I can see where food willl stay fresh longer and save us money. Love it and would recommend it for any size family.
