My Favorite Watch!!!
I have used the Apple & Suunto watches for hiking. And the Garmin Instinct 2 is by far my favorite. It stays charged for approximately 30 days. Super easy to use & has just the right features. I use this along with my Garmin Inreach Mini while in the backcountry.

It didn't work for me.
I wanted it primarily for wrist-based heart rate for cycling and skiing. The heart rate was flakey. Plus, the dial is hard to read. I bought the standard in grey, and I couldn't read the words over the buttons. I returned it after 3 days and wound up getting a Fenix 7S. I'm pleased with the Fenix.

    So many features!
I have had this watch for about 2 weeks and I am really impressed with it's features. There are so many that it will take time to figure them all out. The couple I currently like the most is my heart rate monitor and my sleep monitor. I know have a pretty accurate idea of my hrs of sleep (because it monitors it).

    Love It
Takes a bit to figure out the scheme for doing things but once you get that it is pretty straightforward. So much stuff it will / can do you need to limit what is enabled by what your goals are. Notice some degree of difference in measured / calculated values from my old Vivo Active HR. I am hoping it is just newer, better technology.

    Great Watch for the Money
I bought this about a month ago and have loved it, the overall build quality is great and I have found it really easy to use. My only overall problem with it is I wish it had more storage. Other than that its a great watch

Amazing Battery Life & Great Visibility
I have had a lot of Garmins including the Instinct, Venu 2, Indtinct 2, 955 Solar and Fenix. This blows all of them away. I have never wrote a review for any of the Garmin watches so this is my first. It is a Fenix 7x on steroids. It has a 34 day battery life. I took this off the charger over 12 hours ago and it just now went down 98 percent and that was after a gps activity. It is lighter than the Fenix 7x if you use the included nylon band. You also get an extra silicone band in the box and the flashlight is probably twice as bright as the Fenix 7x. For only $100 more than the Fenix 7x you get a brighter flashlight, 6 more days of battery life and an extra nylon band. It's a no brainer. I can't even feel it on my wrist while using the nylon band. Since the screen is 51mm I can see the data without squinting like on the Instinct series.

The price of this watch was about $70.00 less than elsewhere. The shipping and delivery process was very fast.

    Screen to difficult to read
PROS: Amazing battery life-28 days Very strong vibration motor CONS: Font style is too condensed, text is too small and cannot be changed making it difficult to read unless in good lighting and even with the backlight at 100%. Different watch faces arent much different. Alarms cant be added via the app. Can only be added directly on the watch. This is a pain on a small screen. Majority of the time when I get a notification vibration I pull out my phone to read it because its not easy to read on this screen. Returning it and going back to an amoled screen watch.

    Instinct 2 multiple issues
Purchased the instinct 2 yesterday and have multiple connection and freezing problems, finally got it set up after a few hours and got familiar with the watch interface and to wake up and it's frozen and unresponsive again, was disappointed at 1st but after getting used to the functions I liked it but will be returning due to the multiple issues, it's a shame because it's a well made watch but the screen is primitive
