Nice watch and durable.
I wanted to like this watch, now the reason I returned it was for 1 reason, i ordered the green one and it looked more yellow and it was like a 2 tone yellow, i was hoping it was gonna be more lime green. If they make it in green I would deff buy it again. But being that I already have the fenix 6x and the epic2 i didnt see the need to keep this yellow one. Other than that I love Garmin watches and will never go back to Samsung.

Instinct 2 - No Bueno
Wife upgraded me to the Instinct 2 for fathers day and I could never get it to monitor/record my heart rate or calories after workouts or just for general wear. I've tried several times to activate the heart monitor with no success the green lights on back never came on. My research revealed that was a known problem with instinct 2. Finally I just decided to just stick with my first instinct

    Missing some functions
I bought this instinct 2 thinking I would still get all of my notifications sent to it to alert me but for some reason text messages from an iPhone will not push through to the watch. So I can't give it a five star because I had expected this function.

    The same
So I have the solar instinct but not the 2. I just bought the instinct 2 for the clarity but nothing really has change from one watch to another. The features of the new watch is not much of the difference only if you have the solar edition on the instinct 2 you will get the Apple Pay. And long battery life. For the price I would suggest to wait until the price goes down and then purchase it.

    Golf, Vox
Bought it a little over a month ago. Bought to replace my Instinct which seemed to go belly up for floors due to baro pressure senior issue. Stayed with instinct model for version 2 which gives me golf and VoX. First time out, got same floor issue as original instint. Noticed that the ports for baro seniors were changed a little. Normally wear on left wrist but with location of parts decided to test a thought by moving it to right wrist. Would, no stairs issue. I powerwalked my normal path where the first 2.5 miles has a maybe 20 to 30 ft gradually decent. I believe Garmin become aware of what I will call wrist pump if on left wrist. As you powerwalk, your wrist flexes on the ports. I think that is why you see a climb followed with an immediately decline. Having moved the ports may have taken care of 75% or so but I still show 18+ floors on my walks. I do like my instinct though since you added golf and the blood oxy. Haven't determined how much the floors are impacting my intensity yet. That was my biggest concern with the original instinct.

    OK, but syncing is terrible
So far this watch seems to be working OK except the syncing with the Garmin Connect is terrible-slow, unreliable, frustrating. Their "solutions" don't help. I have had problems with syncing for other Garmin devices and reading reviews and blogs this has been a problem with Garmin for many years. This is totally unacceptable for such an expensive device--this may be my last Garmin. I don't know what their problem is -- why don't they fix it? Are their electronic techs and engineers hired base on political bases like inclusiveness and diversity rather than competency? Probably, just like most companies today. I have no trouble with Bluetooth connectivity for all my other Non-Garmin devices, so it is not the smart phone. Otherwise: The watch heart rate is accurate with a Polar chest strap, and it seemed to be accurate using the wrist sensor too when I compared it to the Polar watch and strap simultaneously, but I was just sitting and not moving the arm. The GPS is a little off, about 2% longer than actual distance, which is similar to my smart phone GPS. But general civilian GPS is only supposed to be accurate up to 25-50' anyway. Interesting that it always gives a longer distance, though. Maybe this is done to think you are covering more distance and/or faster so you'll like the product.

    So far so good..
I bought this to replace my 310XT. It has waaaay more features than I think I'll ever use, but it's nice to have so many options. Easy set-up once you figure out which button does what. I printed the instructions, and 100+ pages is a little much for a watch, but they are very detailed and everything is in there. Overall A-

    Screen to difficult to read
PROS: Amazing battery life-28 days Very strong vibration motor CONS: Font style is too condensed, text is too small and cannot be changed making it difficult to read unless in good lighting and even with the backlight at 100%. Different watch faces arent much different. Alarms cant be added via the app. Can only be added directly on the watch. This is a pain on a small screen. Majority of the time when I get a notification vibration I pull out my phone to read it because its not easy to read on this screen. Returning it and going back to an amoled screen watch.

    Full of interesting features!
The product has many very worthwhile features, since I am new to this watch it is taking a bit of time to get through the features and capabilities. It is very dependable and has a long battery life. The phone app is quick to update and has massive data output.

    Instinct 2 multiple issues
Purchased the instinct 2 yesterday and have multiple connection and freezing problems, finally got it set up after a few hours and got familiar with the watch interface and to wake up and it's frozen and unresponsive again, was disappointed at 1st but after getting used to the functions I liked it but will be returning due to the multiple issues, it's a shame because it's a well made watch but the screen is primitive
