Great in rainy, snowy, and icy conditions
Replaced the kumho tires that came on my 2017 Kia Sportage with these and the handling on icy/snowy roads dramatically improved. Better control out of AWD with these than in AWD with the kumhos.

    Great alternative to Michelin Defender
Needed new tires and investigated throughly. I chose these tires and also checked with a tire specialist. They are very similar to the Michelin Defender but approximately $100 less per tire. I have put about 1,000 miles on the new tires and the traction is good and they are very quiet. They are a softer ride than the Michelin Defenders which are on my Highlander. I highly recommend these tires as an economical alternative.

    Waste of money
Put these tires on her car after the original tires wore out. She went through 3 tires the first week. 1st one was day 2, come out of the house and see a giant bubble on the sidewall where air was getting between the plys. Couple days later she scuffs a curb barely and ruins that one and towards the end of the week another one flat. Tire shop said something was wrong with the bead and never buy these tires again. So I ordered another set of the original Hankooks, no problems since. Just set the two tires side by side and push in and out on the sidewalls, no comparison. The general tires feel like a water balloon and you could push your finger through if you really wanted to. And the hankooks are nice and firm. So I cannot recommend these tires to anyone. Even the dirt cheap Solarus sunfires I put on my corolla are a better tire.

    Got me through snow day
Just had these tires put on the front of my front wheel drive car last week. Today the sky dumped almost a foot of snow on us (Salt Lake City). These tires did very well. Most the roads weren't plowed yet. Was scared of the hills, but made it up those too

    Soccer Mom Minivan
Got these tires for the Soccer mom's minivan. Drove down to Carbondale Illinois to watch the Solar Eclipse. On the highway, at 75 miles per hour, they were QUIET and very stable. Bought them on the basis of other peoples reviews of the tire. Waiting for winter to see how well they perform in the snow, but we are very happy with the tire so far.

    On A Honda VTX 1800
I had this tire mounted on the rear of my 2004 Honda VTX 1800C The ride is smoother. I have better traction, especially on gravel roads. I have better acceleration and braking.

    Nice tire, good price
Bought these in early October 2016 and wanted to wait for some snow before reviewing. We just had about 8 inches of snow in town and my front wheel drive car performed well zipping around. My street was not plowed and I had no trouble with that. I also did a trip last weekend into the mountains and felt completely confident on the snow packed roads. I would definitely recommend these tires for all season.

    Better than expected
I've been driving on General Tires for over 15 years. These tires have been consistent in their quality, overall performance and value. Over those 15 years, I've used General Tires on my wife's Honda Odyssey, Toyota Camry wagon, Acura TL-s, and now her Camry sedan. I've got them on my BMW 330ci Convertible as well as my Honda Accord and my son's Mazda3. But the difference in these tires is how Q U I E T they are. Sure, the handling and snow/ice traction is much improved (like all the General's I've had in the past) over the Good Years that came on the car, but when I get all the benefits plus the nice quiet ride, General has really outdone themselves with the RT43! General has always been the best kept secret in tires, and these tires only make that statement more iron clad. BUY THESE TIRES!

    Good tire
I guess I would consider myself a good shopper. By that I mean I do my homework. I used to go to one of the "well known tire shops" for my tires but after taking a longer look at it, I went to Wal-Mart. See tires that were priced comparably at the other shop had about 1/2 the rated miles for treadwear. Also, I looked at 4-5 different sites that rated tires and these tires were included in the top 5 results. Follow that up with glowing reviews everywhere you look and it became a no-brainer. The "tire shops" lull you with "free installation" and the like but again - it's not free, just built into the price. I've tried to keep a set of the same brand tire on my car but I have found it almost impossible. I don't buy 4 at a time usually so by the time I am due for replacement, the tire is unavailable. I hope these tires are around if I need replacements they ride very nicely. I could tell a marked difference when they were installed. Of course I would expect that with any new tire. Time will tell...
