Best multi-use baby product yet!
Anytime you can get multiple uses out of one baby gear product, its like hitting the jackpot! If the product works well, that is. I've had my fair share of baby gear cluttering my floors over the last several years and I welcome one item that takes the place of two or more items! This swing/bouncer combo has easily taken to be my daughter's favorite apparatus. I love it too, because its 2-in-1! Actually, I'd consider it to be 3-in-1 as the swing can go both side to side AND forwards and backwards, as well as the bouncer function. Putting the bouncer on and off is simple, however I'd recommend doing it while the seat is empty. Assembly was a bit tricky - I can never quite follow the product guides included in the box, so I was pleased to find that Graco had put out a assembly video! With the help of the video, I was able to get the swing assembled in about 40 minutes with a 2 month old and 3 year old at my side (everything takes twice as long with kids)! The only things I would change about the swing would be the angle of the seat as it's almost too much of a "bucket" seat in that a baby's head easily slumps. And perhaps add some strap covers for the shoulder straps because they aren't the softest next to baby's neck. Overall, this picky-mom is very impressed and will hold on the swing for years to come! Nice swing
It's a nice swing for the price but my baby just didn't like it at all. I've purchased swings before for my other children and they loved them, maybe my baby is just broken but had to return since it was just sitting there.

    A Helping Hand
    I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel but was rather skeptical of the Graco Simple Sway 2-in-1 because it was challenging to put together, doesn't aesthetically fit in our space, and felt rather bulky in my living room. (We had to get rid of a chair to make room!) However, once I saw my little baby being soothed by the swing and being stimulated by the mobile, I was sold. Transitioning the product to a bouncer is easy and extends use of the product, which is extra helpful for parents. There are also several features that elevate the product beyond just a swing and bouncer. The mobile both stimulates and entertains and it seems rather easy to switch out the shapes that come with the swing for something else in a different color if you wanted. (I'm planning to do that so that the color will be something that is easier for my baby of 3 months to see.) The music that plays from the swing is also a great feature and I felt like it really soothed my little guy and sometimes made him look around for the source of the noise. There are several options available which is great so that it's not repetitive. One unexpected perk was the height of the bouncer because it allowed me to sit across from my baby and read to him or talk to him and be within his line of vision. It's a great way to bond and interact. The one rather annoying part of the swing is that it can make noise when the metal parts rub against each other and so we placed a small rag to keep this part silent. It's set up to be used with batteries but we found that it would require so many batteries to use that it wasn't feasible. Keeping it plugged in is easy but also limited where we could place the swing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    I have used a number of different swings with my kids. This is by far the biggest and best one. Assembly was very straightforward and only requires screwdriver. It works with electricity and battery power. My baby enjoys all of the features. This unit offers from soothing seat vibration to music and variable speed swing. But my favorite feature is the button that allows you to rotate the seat in three different directions. Having the bouncer option makes transporting baby from room to room easy. I have had no trouble disengaging or engaging the bouncer to the swing. Overall this is a great swing/bouncer unit. I received this swing from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.     A perfect two-in-one!
    My baby had tried two other variations of a bouncer/swing and never took to either so I was a bit apprehensive. She absolutely loves this thing! She will even sit in the swing without the swing on. I love the ability to have a bouncer as well and it's not another piece of equipment to add. The directions were a bit hard to follow however and I do wish the overall footprint of the item was smaller. Perhaps the feet of the swing could be retractable when placed on the floor?     Great Versatile Swing!
    This 2 in 1 swing/bouncer is super convenient and easy to set up and use. We have had some mixed results with our 4 month old on how well she responded to be being placed in it but no product works for all situations and all kids respond differently. Overall this is a great swing and a great bouncer and I love that it is versatile enough to do both. Set up: This was very easy to set up - it took about 20 minutes for me to assemble from opening the box to having my daughter swinging in it. Just follow along on the instruction booklet and you'll be done in no time. 2-in-1: Definitely one of my favorite aspects is that this works as both a swing and bouncers. We have the swing set up in a fairly heavily used room in the house but there were multiple times I was doing laundry or cooking and it was great to be able to lift her in seat to come over by me (she is social and wants to see you there). It is really easy to remove and put back on with the baby in it. The only thing that was hard for movement was that the bouncer has rubber feet so it does not slide around easily (which is also safer when my 2 year old tries to move her and can't). Usability: Overall the swing is super easy to use and pretty intuitive. Without having see instructions my wife was able to jump in and use all the features. A feature that we really like is the ability to easily turn the swing to either side while they are in it. This made a simple way to change it up or have her facing us as we moved around. We also really liked the water sounds which were very calming for her. Soothing: As mentioned above we had mixed results with having the swing sooth her. In most situations she loved it and it was really helpful when she woke up early from a nap and it was not time for a feed to have a place to put her that would help keep her calm while we finished up a couple things. When we put her in already sad it generally did not calm her (not too surprising) and she occasionally got fed up with it. I'm sure this is different for every child but this has been our experience. Style: Overall I like the simple design and neutral color pallet of this swing. There are some pastel colors on the seat cover that I don't love but they are fairly muted and tastefully done. The bouncer legs hanging beneath the swing does look a little strange but it is also what makes it so functional and I would not trade that. Big Siblings: One last note that our 2 year old has interacted with his sister a lot while she is in the swing. She is right at his height to give her kisses and he likes to swing her in it. It is easy for him to swing her around a bit which we have to keep an eye on but I am glad it does not feel like he is breaking it by doing so and I know she is strapped in well. Batteries: It nice that both the swing and bouncer can use batteries. The swing also has a plug which is what we have used primarily. It is big enough that I am not going to move it around a lot and their is a plug convenient to where we use it. I'm sure this could be helpful for some. The battery for the bouncer vibrator is great and the only way to power it. this is super helpful to keep it mobile.     Handy 2-in-1 Product
    Our two-month-old seems to enjoy this chair and swing, which is nice since such things can be hit or miss with infants. A few notes to others considering this 2-in-1 swing: - Regarding assembly: The directions are unclear in several spots. I'm a do-it-myself type person, but I reluctantly had to ask my husband to help with a couple things. We eventually ended up using the assembly video online, which did help clarify some of the more difficult spots. I would highly advise using the video tutorial to save some time and confusion. - The chair has two vibration settings, low and high, which seem to appeal to our infant. The battery compartment is partially covered by the chair's fabric and is difficult to open even without having to maneuver around the fabric, so that poses a bit of an annoyance. - The swing has six levels of motion and they're all very smooth and, again, seem to appeal to our infant. (The swing can be powered via an electrical plugin or batteries.) I don't usually enjoy the music features on baby products, but I actually like the music on this swing; it is classical songs instead of "baby" music. There's also the option to turn on nature sounds instead of music (wind, water, birds, etc.). All sound is optional, so the swing will operate with no noise if that's what you prefer. - The chair is easy to attach and detach from the swing; however, removing the swing is a bit clunky. I can't seem to do it without hitting the swing bar with the chair. It snaps into place easily, though, as long as you lean over the chair to see the base as it's clicking into the swing bar. - I find the five-point harness buckle difficult to unlatch, so getting baby out in a hurry when crying isn't always the easiest. - The little mobile attached to the swing would be more beneficial if it had the option to turn on with a switch so it would move to better appeal to the baby's need to be entertained at times. It just sits there unless you manually move it. - The head insert in the chair seems useless to me. It's completely flat, with no contour to help hold baby's head in place. As a result, baby's head usually seems to tip to one side since there's really no support. My favorite feature of this 2-in-1 swing is how handy it is to be able to move baby from the swing to wherever we're at in the house without having to unclip her and put her into a different product.     Once assembled, it's a dream!
    4.75 solid stars for the Graco simple sway 2in1 swing! My three month old baby LOVED this, far more then other baby holding equipment we have tried. I loved that it was multi purpose, and that the bouncer seat easily detached from the swing. It is even possible to do it safely while baby is in the seat! It made it easy to move around the house and always keep baby close while I am playing with her older sister. The swing itself easily changes positions, from forward facing to a 90° spin facing either left or right. It is silent when in motion, but you are able to play classical music or nature sounds directly from the swing. It's also nice that the plush parts of the swing are all machine washable, to keep things clean from those inevitable spitups or blowouts! Honestly, my only complaint is the setup! My husband joked that he needed more than a masters degree in engineering to set it up. It came in many, many different parts and the instructions were not super clear. We didn't put a battery in the bouncer portion of the seat while it was being set up and it took quite a bit of finagling to readjust the seat to get the battery in later. It did take us about an hour to set up the whole piece of equipment. It is not the most compact swing, but the fact that it is multi function is great and space saving! Once assembled, it truly is a fantastic piece of baby entertainment equipment, and I would recommend it as long as you can tough out assembly!     Impressive rocker and bouncer in one
    The Graco Simple Sway 2-in-1 Swing is an impressive product. It easily goes from a swing to a bouncer with the push of two buttons. It's super handy when you need...well, your hands... for a minute but want to keep baby safe and entertained. Admittedly, it is a LARGE product and not really suitable for apartment living (or it'll take up your entire living room). That being said, the 2-in-1 nature of the product helps you cut down on STUFF. Parenting win! Our baby loved being able to swing side-to-side, in addition to front-to-back (something she'd never experienced with our old rocker). She also seemed very calmed by the nature noises. And when I needed to do some work in the other room, I easily pushed in the handles on the bouncer, brought it with me, strapped her back in, and kept her entertained and bouncing without missing a beat. The set up was a little complex (we definitely had to reference the youtube video vs simply reading the manual), but the product seems well thought-out and very sturdy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Awesome 2-in-1 Swing
    My 10 week old baby and I absolutely love the Graco® Simple Sway™ 2-in-1 Swing. Both the swing and the bouncer have features that soothe my son when fussy and keep him relaxed when happy. I really like that this swing has 6 different speeds in which it can sway. My son likes the third setting when relaxing in the swing and the sixth setting when calming him prior to a nap or bedtime. I really like that it can swing side-to-side or front-to-back. My favorite feature is that you can turn the seat to the left or right which allows it to be placed pretty much anywhere in the house! The swing also has a mobile, a multitude of sounds, classical instrumental music and the ability to increase or decrease the volume so my son is always entertained! My son really likes when I tap on the mobile to make it turn, but it would be nice if the swing didn't require me to manually turn it and had a button to make it spin. I also wish that the mobile was attached to the seat, and not just to the swing so the mobile could also be used in the bouncer configuration. I really like how this product can be used as either a swing or a bouncer. It only takes a second to transition from one configuration to the other by pressing the swing release buttons on the chair or simply placing the seat on the base to transition back to the swing. We typically use the swing to help relax him before his naps and bedtime, and the bouncer when we need a place to dock him in a different room. I have especially gotten a lot of use out of the bouncer by placing it in the bathroom while I shower. Additionally, the seat has a switch that can vibrate at two different speeds. My son especially likes this feature when he is in the bouncer. I like that there is a five point harness to keep my baby safe in the swing. I also like that the shoulder straps are only attached to the swing near the shoulder and snap into the harness. This makes placing the baby in the swing so much easier because you don't have to struggle to slip the arms through the straps. I do wish that there was some cushion on the straps to allow my baby to be extra comfy while in the swing. There is also a removable infant insert which will allow the swing to be used even as my son gets older. Lastly, when I first received the product, I found set-up using only the instruction booklet to be somewhat confusing. I highly recommend using the Graco video demonstration online to help set-up the swing much quicker.
