More Light for Less Money
I have two fixtures with the corkscrew style fluorescent bulbs and the light was always dim. I replaced them with these Great Value LED's and the light is so much brighter. Trust me when I say, “You will not be disappointed with these bulbs!” Who knew these decorative globes would be so much better? As time permits, I am getting rid of all the Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) and replacing them with the applicable LEDs from Great Value. These energy-efficient LED light bulbs comes in a round G16.5 shape with a candelabra E12 base. They feature a milky glass that conceals a glowing inside filament. This dimmable Light Emitting Diode consumes only 4.5 watts of power while producing a 350-lumen brightness output, comparable to a standard 40-watt incandescent bulb. We do not have dimmer switches in our home, but we love these lights because of how bright and long lasting these lights are. Our tiny guest bath has no windows and these lights are perfect. An Incandescent replacement in glass art is a significant source of light as well as a much more prominent art object. We just love these bulbs and are happy we decided to pick them up.

    Every bit as good as the more expensive brands
    This review is for the Great Value LED Decorative Globe, soft white, dimmable bulbs with the candelabra base, 40 W equivalent: 4.5 actual watts used. Brightness 350 lumens. This is the candelabra base which is a narrower base than your traditional lightbulb, so the lamp or lighting source you plan on using this bulb in will already have to have been equipped with this narrower base. The appearance of the bulb itself is very clean, with simple lines. The bulb is white and round, thus the “globe” name. It may seem kind of silly to mention the appearance of these bulbs, but my mom has had globe lights that were more decorative that had textured pieces adhered to the bulb. The soft white light is just perfect. It isn't dim and it isn't too glaringly bright. It is very easy on the eyes for those of us that have issues with that. Though it does still cast plenty of light. This one is a dimmable bulb so the brightness is completely up to you. Lower the brightness level for that perfect ambience. These Great Value brand bulbs seem every bit as good as the more expensive bulbs. If you were thinking about ordering these bulbs online, rest assured that the packaging the bulbs are in feels quite strong. Plus, Wal-Mart used packaging pillows to help protect the bulbs even more. Needless to say, the bulbs arrived unbroken.

    It's A Winner!
    If you are looking for a good, quality light bulb that does what it says, saves energy and gives off soft light, this is a good one. I was skeptical at first of these bulbs because in the early days of energy-saving lightbulb substitutes, the bulbs were not very bright and so I avoided buying anything like them. These bulbs are a great improvement over those old, squiggly light bulbs. These bulbs are LED's and are small with a long screw-in base. I can use them either in a sconce or a bathroom vanity mirror. I chose to use them in my den. During the day and into the evening, the light is appropriate and more than adequate. They give off a soft light which makes it suitable for daytime. I am able to read my book and crochet my projects using this soft light without having to have other lights on in the same room. The description given by Walmart says they are not dimmable. However, they are indeed dimmable as stated on the package itself. I love it that they are are dimmable, which is a bonus for a baby's room or to use as a nightlight or for watching TV without bright lights in your face or glaring on the TV screen. They claim to be long lasting, but that remains to be seen as time continues. If they last up to 15,000 hours as stated on the package, that would be an immense savings and eliminate the need to constantly buy regular light bulbs. So it would save money and be energy efficient as well. I've noticed that they stay cool and therefore, don't emit added heat onto the top of your head. This one's a winner. I highly recommend these bulbs and will be using them in the future.

    These light bulbs give off nice light. I normally don't like led light bulbs but I am happy with these. Why spend a lot of money when Great Value offers a good light bulb for a reasonable price.

    The Great Value LED 4.5W Dimmable Light Bulb lasts up to 15,000 hours and based on 3 hours per day has a long life of 13 years. This light bulb can be used indoors or outdoors. It is 4.5 watts which is equivalent to 40 watts. Brightness of 350 lumens. G16 small globe lamp. E12 Candelabra base. These bulbs are made specifically for a certain type of lamp. They fit perfectly in my candelabra work a soothing soft glow.

    Good bulbs
    I actually received dimmable bulbs instead of non-dimmable, but I don't mind because they fit the dimmable reading lamps connected to my headboard. It's not too bright, but bright enough for me to see whatever I'm reading without needing to keep my bedroom lights on. As long as they last years like my previous bulbs, I will be happy!
