Love it!
It's a great size for my newt! I love that the lid is easily removable. Lights are funky and you have to keep pushing through all the colors to turn it off, but fun colors. Not sure if fish or creatures will like the colors! Easy to set up and pump/filter is quiet.

LED lights don't work!!!
Check the lights!!!! The lights on the top don't work!!!!! Unfortunately I already put the fish in their new tank so I'm not putting them through moving them back to the old tank! I'm very disappointed!!!

Light died in less than a month
The lid stopped working in about 2 weeks. Fortunately I could return it! i gave this 2 stars bc set up was easy, i loved how quiet the filter was and how great it looked once set up. The filter is tempermental though. if the water got a little too low, it stopped shooting water out. If it got clogged a bit with guppy grass or tiny duck weed, if sputtered and filled the tank with tiny white bubbles that made the tank look cloudy. The light button was funky on this to begin with so I can't say I'm surprised it stopped working so soon. I'm shocked by the poor quality. I have a glass 10 gallon from the same company with the old style hood and incandescent lights that I have had for well over 20 years and it still works great! Not sure why companies have to mess with a good thing. I see the same 01 gallon has a new style hood and led lighting like this one and has pretty bad reviews. Tired of junk these days! Please build to last!

    Great tank, bad hood/light combo.
I love this little tank, the only reason I did not put 5 stars is because of the light. It is nice to have all the color options but to get to them you have to keep pushing the button over and over again. So if it is on the first light and then when I need to turn it off I have to cycle through 7 times to the off. At some point I will probably make a clear top for it so I can use another small light. but other then the lid/light it is a perfect tank for my Betta

    5 gallon fish tank.
I bought it for my Betta fish. It's good for tiny places. Good price and materials. Easy to assemble and handle. The only problem is the filter is too powerful for a tiny tank so it suction the fish. I have to turn it off. But the rest of it it's awsome. I bought the accessories in Walmart online and looks great.

Very nice tank, cat resistant lid
This tank is perfect for my betta. No leaks, great size, and comes with everything other than gravel and a heater. The lid, being on hinges, has been cat proof so far. And a great price.

    Happy betta
just received this tank for my daughters betta fish. so far so good. the tank is plastic but clearity is good. Easy set up. The tank lid has cutout spots for filter system and thermometer if needed. My daughter likes the different light settings. Can't comment of the filter yet since we are using one we already had. All in all happy with the product.

    Perfect for my hermit crab!!
It offers plenty of room for my hermit crab to move and eat. Although it is designed for fish you can use it for crabs too! By the way my crab is the small orange shell. I also love the lighting on the hood. It also seems to do a good job at keeping moisture in the tank which is important for crabs.

    Good product
Its a good tank nice and big but the filter is pretty strong. I have a betta in there and he loves it. Just be careful your betta doesn't get sucked up. Just consider having a backup filter. The lights are great too. Theres basically every color.

    Economical and Customizable
I bought this tank over a year ago for my betta fish. The hood is easy to use with push button light settings, it snaps on and off easily, and has cut outs on the back for insertion of heaters/pumps/etc. It is easy to clean, very clear, and attractive. The plastic does scratch easily though, so I might buy a replacement a few years down the road. In the cut out section, I have hung a basket to start plant seedlings. I also have live plants such as pothos and bamboo growing out of the tank through the cut tout sections, making the tank double as fishy home and water garden. The only caveat is that the filter pump that comes with the tank is too strong for most betta fish (almost killed mine), and also noisy. But it is fine for other types of fish such as guppies, glowfish, goldfish, etc. After trying unsuccessfully to modify and baffle the pump, I replaced the existing filter pump system with a sponge filter/air pump/flow valve combo. I am keeping the old filter and pump to use with a larger tank in the future, as it still works great. Even with the money I spent on a new pump/filter system, this tank was still a great deal, easier and cheaper to set up than many similar tanks.
