Great for allergies.
For the first time since I moved to Oklahoma, my allergies-while in the house-are gone. I am buying more of these for my daughter. Pain is gone, "drip" is gone. Highly recommend this air purifier. It is loud on higher settings. However, after initial half hour I have used lower setting only. The filters appear to be easy to change.

Poorly designed. Air goes right around filters!
All the HEPA filter claims is nonsense when there's 1/8" gaps in the filter seal! Bought this a few years ago at Walmart in the store. Finally went to clean it only to find lines of dust around each filter. After looking closer I found that there's large gaps around each filter so the air goes right around aka this "purifier" is useless! It's a poor design. There are no clamps to press the filters against the frame to form any sort of seal. The fan blade was also covered, how is this filtering dust when there's dust past the filters? It isnt'!

    One of the best Air cleaners you can purchase!
    This is one of the best air cleaners I've been purchasing these for years! They lost a very long time. They take three HEPA filters and three carbon filters . Three carbon filters, a door filter! Keep your carbon filters clean and change them fairly often they don't cost much, and you can prolong the life of your three thick HEPA filters! These are noisy they have a fan sound so if you're like me and you can't sleep in dead silent and you need some kind of noise this is perfect! The noise depends on your setting low is almost no noise at all and four is loud enough to drowned out sounds while you sleep! They do an excellent job at moving air and keeping allergens away. The first unit I purchased was years ago end it lasted over five years. So I purchased this one for my sons room and I purchased one about a year ago for my own room and I purchased one for my dogs sleeping area. Is that the only air cleaners I will purchase! I purchased the large room .

    Happy Drafter!
    I love the "white noise" that is running in the background while I work. This air cleaner makes my home office a lot more comfortable. I use a great deal of paper in my work, which produces dust. This machine cleans the air in the office and makes the environment cooler and cleaner. This is the third Holmes TRUE HEPA Console Air Purifier I have purchased, and would definitely buy again!

    The Best Air Cleaner Solution I Have Found.
    This is a true "air cleaner". It has three large Hepa filters and a large pre-filter, that serves all 3 Hepas. No gimmicks like UV light, ozone, etc. [ozone can damage lungs] It just passes large volumes of air over the filter medium and exhausts clean air. The older version of this unit came without filter medium. This one comes fully loaded and ready to plug in. I ran the old one 24/7 for 7 years. This unit is superior. I have a second smaller unit [2 Hepas] I run in another room. This is my third Holmes

    Breath of fresh air
    Truly is worth the money to buy this air purifier. There are three filters in this purifier. Highly recommend this product. I had purchased a slight cheaper Holmes model purifier and one of the speeds did not work. However, after following through with the warranty. Holmes directly replaced the purifier with an upgrade.

    I love it, it suck out the bad air and odors, filter it and blow out fresh air, its definitely is worth the money. I've been sleeping better at night without waking up all stuffing in the morning. I would definitely recommend

    I bought my unit a good five years ago, looks just like the one in the photo, except white instead of black and 4 speeds. I can't run mine 24 hours, or if I do it needs to be another room aligned with the room I am in because it dries out my sinuses!! Then I have to bring out my table top moisturizer :) My rooms are small, so fine and very effective with the alignment on 2nd setting and living in upstairs apartment I often get all kinds of raunchy orders drifting up from a basement apartment, and which is why I bought it, and works great. Never have had a problem with the door, it's kept on a flat surface and works great. No air conditioning, so unit works great with fans when it gets hot and can help keep things comfortable until it gets high 90's and climbing..... I do wish unit had small wheels to roll it on, and haven,t found a small dolley that fits right to sit it on. The older I get the harder it is to move it, for as one person said, it can be awkward to move... and would be easy to drop because of inefficient handholds. That is my only issue with it.... Thank you for a product that has been very helpful.

    This unit works well. It's a little bit loud on the higher settings, but on the lower settings it's fine. It's too loud on high to watch TV. We simply turn it on high when we leave, then turn it down to low when we return. The upside of that is that it also works good as a fan, it really puts out the air on high. For bedroom use, I'd recommend putting it on high during the day then on low at night. On low the noise is hardly noticeable. Overall, it does an excellent job of filtering the air, not a cough in the house since we got it. Combine that with the relatively low HEPA filter cost, this unit is a win-win.
