Cold
It actually gets cold. AC tech told me to get this type unit to cool my bonus room more cause window units are prohibited. I was skeptical at first cause I purchased a portable unit over 15 years ago that basically was nothing but an expensive fan. The technology has come a long way. It was easy to setup and cut the panel to vent the hoses. It is easy to operate and it cooks the room down quickly.

Cqme out of the box bad.
It ran for 2 weeks then I noticed a brown film on my walls, fans, ceiling, all over everything. Honeywell gave me a hard time about everything. Honeywell wanted every kind of documentation they could think of. They gave me a hard time because I bought it on line and didnt have a regular receipt. I did have the box it came in. Today I had hung up the phone for a couple of hours and it stopped cooling. I called them back and more bs. I had a friend load it in my car. I am 71 and and disabled and didnt dare lift it myself. Wakmart gave me my money back. Dont trust Honeywell. They will lie to you and trick you.

It is nipply in here thanks to this AC
I have never owned an AC unit of any kind so I was a little intimidated by the whole buying the right one and setting up process. I bought it while in the middle of a heat wave and by the time I received it the really hot weather had gone away. Not that it took long to get, just that the really hot temps were gone, which normally would be perfectly fine with me. I like super hot weather as much as I like cleaning toilets. Anyway, I received the AC a few days before the initial estimated delivery date, which was nice and shocking considering it was FedEx that delivered it. By the time the hot weather came back it had sat in my room, in the box, for aprox two weeks. I finally set it up a few days ago. So the box is big and heavy, so moving it by myself was fun. I put a blanket under the box and then drug it from my room to the living room. My cats were supervising and as helpful as one expects a supervisor to be. Anyway, like most upper management, my cats were focused on unimportant stuff that didnt really matter while I did all the hard work. Set up was fairly easy and I only used bad words a few times. The window I was putting it in is narrow and not all that tall so the tubes are vertical (one on top of the other). The tubes are fairly stiff, but one would assume that it is necessary considering what their job is. The panels that the tubes are hooked into are not flimsy, as some reviewers claim. Im not sure what they are expecting. The only thing I would change is where the extensions connect, have two screws instead of one. It is a little wobbly, but not horrible. When I plugged the AC in it was 80 in my apartment. Within 45 minutes it was down to 73. I have a ceiling fan so Im sure that helped. That night I put it in my bedroom because I like my bedroom to be super cold, like my soul. It took just over an hour to get nice and cold. The noise was ok until early in the morning when the AC would shut off then come on when the temp went up. This AC does not have a sleep mode that is quieter, but lets be real, I would rather hear this AC running if the alternative is to be sweating like a pig. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, as are my cats. They were not happy during our 4 day heatwave and were threatening to pack their bags and go find a new mom that had air conditioning. Now they dont have to move out and they happily lay under the ceiling fan that is spreading the nice cool air around. I would definitely buy this AC again if I needed another one. Well, not right now because the price went up almost $300, and as nice as this AC is, its not worth almost $900 IMO.

Good, need some DIY skill to make it better.
The window bracket looks adjustable, but can only fit 3 different sizes with minor (2 inches?) adjustment. It almost fit my window but I ended up having to cut to fit. Once the bracket is in the window, there are many gaps it for air to leak through. I improvised my own weather strips to plug the gaps. The intake and exhaust are spaced too close together some exhaust are sure to re-enter the intake port and lower the efficiency. The exhaust duct, which runs hot, should be insulated so the hot duct doesn't heat up the room. I think I need a trip to a hardware store. The unit itself runs ok quiet except when powering up. The plug needs to be plugged into the lower socket of an outlet otherwise it would block both sockets. I understand many other brands have the same issues but since this is a famous brand, shouldn't it do better?

Cooled great while it worked. Stopped working overnight one night now it won't turn on. LCDI switch could be to blame but for nearly $600 just need this kind of product to function.

    Buy this one.
Instructions didn't address 2 different sized hoses. Looked at picture to decide which side larger hose belonged. Adjustable window inserts didn't fit had to cut to install. OTHER THAN THAT. AWESOME AC. COOLS QUICKLY.

Poor design on window fitting piece.
Hoses too short have to buy something to put it on for the hoses to reach the places in the window they need to fit into. I have slider window horizontal and it does not look very nice. It is 1 hose going over the other. Have not used it yet The window design is very poor and should only say it is for vertical. Yes, there is a elephant in the room. I hope Honeywell makes a reply rather than just replying to the positive reviews.

Works well, but rattles very loudly. >:(
I have no complaints but one. I wanted a two hose system because those don't create pressure gradients in your house and are generally superior because they don't end up sucking in hot air from outside. My problem with this Honeywell unit is that it was poorly constructed against really loud and annoying vibrations. The plastic cover on the front rattles against the internal frame when it's on and it is really irritating, but it functions just fine. I quieted my down with a piece of cardboard and a c-clamp. When I have more time and I don't have an immediate need for the unit, I plan on taking apart and reinforcing it with insulating foam to shut it up. For a 600 dollar unit that works so well, you would think Honeywell could go to the trouble to accomplish the simple task of designing the cover not to rattle against the frame.
