Not easy to install for me. Maybe you…
To start, I found the instructions unclear. I've never replaced a thermostat before and I'm not mechanically inclined. I purchased this because I thought it said it was easy to install. First, you need a teeny tiny screwdriver. Similar in size to what you get in an eyeglass repair kit. My old thermostat only had 2 wires but this new unit can accommodate multiple wires, but would work with just 2 as well. The wires I had hanging out of my wall were R (Red) and W (Yellow)… so there were slots for these wires. However…. On this unit, there was a upside down U shaped wire that went from the R into the RC slots. I needed to get my R wire into the R slot but the screw on this unit would not budge! I could not loosen the screw at all. I had someone else try and still would not budge. I googled for information, I searched the Honeywell site and nothing was easy enough to understand. This unit is going back. Again…. This may be really simple for someone mechanically inclined…. This review is for those who aren't and have never done this before.

    Buy in person.
    I was very disappointed in the fact that the item was listed as in store when I ordered it to be delivered with my groceries and they then claimed it was unavailable only to go to the store the next day and find it on the shelf available for purchase. I bought it in person and am having difficulties trying to cancel the other one from being shipped. The product works perfectly only the store service was disappointing.

    Works just fine
    Works just fine. This is the best and easiest to operate of the 5 different thermostats I've installed on my now 29 year old gas furnace. The most difficult part of the install was getting the cover off.
