Can be controlled through an app
This wireless rechargeable speaker is great. We love doing backyard cookouts so this speaker is perfect at keeping us entertained while doing so. The speaker is chargeable and does keep its charge for quite a long time. I have gone a couple of days with the same charge and with heavy usage without any problem. It also has Bluetooth capabilities, and connects easily and fast to my phone without any trouble. I also really appreciate that it is water resistant so I don't have to worry if the kids spill something on it, just wipe it down and it is good to go. My kids favorite feature is that the lights flash to the beat of the music, and that the color of the lights can be changed. They also love the fact that a microphone can be connected to it and they can use it for karaoke. My favorite feature is that I can control it with my phone. It has a very cool app that you download to your phone, and control the speaker through. Total control of it with out having to be close to it. I just use my phone and have total control of the volume, stations, lights etc. Super cool and up to date speaker, we love it.

Pretty Nice Speaker!
This is a pretty nice speaker overall! It is more than loud enough for most people! Its not going to shake the entire house or be loud enough to keep a party of 100 people satisfied, but obviously for what you are paying that would be out of realistic expectations! I have owned MANY bluetooth speakers/boombox's over the years and currently own 4 or 5 smaller JBL speakers as well as the larger JBL BOOMBOX which would be more of a comparison to this thing! Only the BoomBox cost literally 4 times more! I can honestly say although not quit as "airy" or nearly as loud as the boombox, this little ION speaker does pack a punch! It has a great little bass boost feature which does indeed take the bass up a notch, very noticeable difference when that feature is enabled! Max Volume is 30. One thing I liked and can appreciate is every time you turn the speaker off and then back on again the volume defaults back to like 5 or 6, which is nice so you don't turn the speaker on one morning and the volumes left at max from the night before! So that was smart of ION to do! There are AUX hookups in the front for hooking up to any of your devices as well as a microphone port! Which brings me to my next point, i was pretty disappointed when i opened this thing and learned that there is no longer a microphone included! That was a pretty big bummer since the pictures show a microphone and i was excited to get this speaker for my boys so they could play with the microphone on it, so you will have to purchase a microphone separately. The default picture is an older version of this thing and they have changed the way the face and buttons look! There are no longer the big turn dials but instead little soft touch buttons, which i like! The build quality feels great, it is very rugged with a nice deep handle embedded in the back for carrying this baby around wherever your adventures may take you! The built in lights is also a great added feature that is pretty neat! There are 4 or 5 light settings, from off to slowly cylcling thru all the colors, to having the lights change/flash to the beat of the music, and you can also stop the lights on whatever color you'd like it to stay! So pretty cool feature, although my little times with the speaker i have opted for leaving the lights off to save battery! One thing I noticed while watching youtube videos on the older version of this speaker was its seemed like it got extremely staticky and sounded really bad on max volume, they have corrected that with this newer model! It doesn't distort at max volume anymore but sounds pretty clear without any distortion! One problem i do have with this speaker and the main reason i took a star off is for some reason, idk if i got a bad one or what the deal is but my speaker cuts out constantly sometimes while using it! For example I will use it for a day like 2 or 3 hours without a single problem. And then the next day I will go to use it and it just cuts out CONSTANTLY non stop, its almost like the Bluetooth is cutting out or something idk for sure, but my phone will be hooked up thru Bluetooth and literally laying right next to the speaker so i really dont think its a Bluetooth issue, im not sure what it is!?! Its really weird, its almost like the speakers are experiencing clipping, like the speaker will pop and the music cuts out and gets really quiet and then goes back up tp set volume, and then a few seconds later it will do it again, just nonstop! I have no idea whats going on but its EXTREMELY annoying and makes the speaker unusable. Its really that bad! But like i mentioned its not every time i use it so i haven't figured out what is causing this and hopefully i can in the future to avoid it! The radio does have a built in FM radio which is a really cool feature that my $400 JBL BoomBox does not have! I have not used that feature yet so cant comment on how well it works but the fact they included that is pretty awesome! The battery life seems really good too! We stayed out at my parents house all weekend while they were out of town for 4 days, we used this thing every single day and night while out there (with the lights turned off), i forgot the charger at home but never needed it, the speaker still had 1 line of battery left when we got home today! Overall I really do like this speaker and for the cheap price this thing is MORE than good enough for most people! I will be keeping it as a secondary/backup speaker to my JBL boombox but i do love this thing and was really happy to receive it for free in return for a review of my honest opinion on it! I do recommend it and for the price you wont be dissapointed!

    Bumpin box!!
    This is a good speaker. It gets loud, not extremely loud but loud enough to bump the house while cleaning and it also holds a charge for a good amount of time so taking it outside for yard activities or to the lake for chillin or grillin. The bass boost button option is nice but it definitely distorts a little sooner as i turn up the volume. I just keep it off and i can get the speaker up to about volume 20-25 with no distortion and loud enough to be like “yeah!” The bluetooth works great and has good range. Im really pleased with this speaker. Great sound and the lighting accents it has are awesome. When we have a fire at night outside the speaker get the mood right with the music and looks cool with the lights.

    Does not come with a microphone but does come with a port and bluetooth access for one. This is a great product for music on-the-go. It charges fast and is extremely light weight. I like to use it in the backyard when I do my outdoor exercise routines or when the kids and I are enjoying some outside playtime. Most of the time its used while I'm cooking dinner. Since it is so portable, we also take it with us to the park. The kids love doing sing alongs on it and I love the fact that it isn't very heavy. It has the ability to boost the bass and alternates pretty colors on the from when its playing. The other big plus is the built-in radio. Without an extending antenna, I'm still able to get our local radio stations in clearly. Comes with a built-in usb port, microphone port, and headphone port. I use it mainly for bluetooth play and it connects easily with my phone or my laptop. The sound quality is great and I like it even better than the sound bar I have connected to my living room tv. Thinking about buying another one for just that purpose. There isnt anything I dont like about it. This has been one of the best new accessories to my house in a long time.

    My kids are really enjoying this new toy...lol. I love it too! The set up is really quick n fairly simple. Being able to share music thru bluetooth wireless makes this system even more enjoyable. The sound is incredible and being wireless and rechargeable is a great added bonus!

    Perfect for Parties
    This speaker is shockingly good. When I received it, I immediately plugged it in and used it and it is very nice. I've used it outdoors as well as indoors and the quality of sound is amazing and the durability, easy of use, portability and options of use make this perfect for any music needs. We used this recently for a small birthday party for only a few people and we listened to this speaker and it was a hit. The louder and better sound make this ideal for outdoor use. You can listen to your downloaded music or simply put it on your preferred radio station and have hours of fun. The design and lights also make this a nice looking speaker, so you can either store it easily when finished or leave it out. I look forward to using this beautiful speaker more and more.

    The ION Wireless Rechargeable Speaker System with lights is AMAZING! When we unboxed the speaker, wow! It's huge! I love it! After unboxing, we turned on the speaker. It's fully charged! Wow! Usually, some products you have to charge before you can use it. Anyway, we tried the Radio button, volume. Works good! Volume is all the way up to 30 which is LOUD! We tried the Bluetooth capability and it works. It connects right away. Played some music and tried the Bass Boost button, I am amazed. You can tell the difference with the Bass Boost ON. I am impressed! The color changing lights is beautiful with a pressed of a button. Overall, I recommend the ION Wireless Rechargeable Speaker System with Lights. You won't be disappointed!

    I was very pleasantly surprised by this bluetooth party speaker. It's has some weight to it so it's not easily knocked over. Its water proof. Has a bass boost button that turns on the bass but it's not deep bass. I'm not a big bass fan so this was great for me. This speaker has good volume. It also has FM radio that you can preset 8 stations. If you're not using bluetooth, you have to turn it off because the radio and bluetooth will play at the same time. The lights are a nice feature. You can change the speed of the blinking and changing. Great speaker

    This speaker is so much fun!
    I did not expect to fall in love with this speaker! I usually am not a fan of standalone Bluetooth speakers. I like my music loud, crisp, clear, and with bass... so naturally, I tend to prefer a speaker system with a standalone subwoofer. However, I have now been using this speaker exclusively for several days straight in situations where I usually would use earbuds or a headset. It's so easy to carry around my home and outdoors! And it frees me from the head accessories, which generally slip off. It gets deafening. Just as loud, if not louder than my 2.1 surround system. The bass boost adds a little thump. I'm impressed by how they worked two channels into this speaker, so there is a definite left and right side to the sound. That makes this speaker not only suitable for music but ideal for movies, too. I've been using it the most with my ultrabook, which has crappy speakers, but I sometimes carry around for watching movies in other parts of the house. The battery lasts about 20 hours give or take. It certainly lasts through an entire day of use. I only have to charge it once daily, no matter how much I use it. I do not doubt that it's waterproof, though I haven't put this to the test! It has a rugged, shock-proof case. It's built of high-impact plastic and thick silicone. I'm not much of a radio person, but it did get some stations as I cycled through. I checked out the Android app for this, and it allows you to control some functions via Bluetooth. Sadly, it does not appear to allow you to control the volume... which would've made it complete. You also cannot access the equalizer function in the app. I'm guessing more expensive models do have the equalizer feature. This is worth owning. I cannot express just how much fun and freedom it gives anyone that's a big music lover!
