Some great features
I wanted to love the Kenmore Canister Vacuum and this is just a personal opinion. I have never used a canister vacuum before so I did find maneuvering awkward. We have mostly hard floors and it did a decent job. I have several High end vacuums from different brands and they all have pros and cons. Pros: LOVE the automatic cord wrap. Amazing, every Vacuum should have this. Love the telescoping wand Ease of use Budget friendly Suction good on carpet Cons: Awkward to maneuver I'm not a fan of bags, the added cost isn't appealing to me Storing the vacuum takes up more space Suction is better on carpet than hard floor Overall if you like a canister vac and AR elooking to stay in a certain budget this may be for you.

I love how I can use it to keep my entire home clean from allergens. It is very versatile. It cleans upholstery, any type of floors, blinds, and carpets. It has a hepa sealed bag and it comes with 3 attachments pieces that allow you to clean up any allergens such as dust, pet hair, pollen from crevices of furniture, floors, and carpets or reach hard to reach places that are high up. I love that it has  an automatic retractable cord. I definitely would recommend this vacuum to others because it is a great quality vacuum cleaner.

    Powerful
I received the Kenmore 200 Series Pet Friendly HEPA AllergenSeal Bagged Canister Vacuum Cleaner, BC3002 and enjoy using it for my deep cleaning days. The vacuum is a little heavy to carry but the wheels come in handy and are greatly appreciated. What I love is the lightness of just having to push the wand around. All the attachments make cleaning a breeze. From floor to rug/carpet seamlessly, tidy up the furniture, and get all the crevices. The bag is easy to install and easy to dispose of and keeps all the mess where I can't see it.

    Great Canister Vacuum
This Kenmore vacuum has: -an easy to select floor/carpet switch on the handle -several settings with a foot lever for carpet thickness -easy to assemble parts that snap together nicely -a handle that swivels for wrist comfort -a smooth auto-retract cord -an effective beater bar attachment -a place on the canister to attach the handle so the whole unit can be stored upright (looks kind of like a suitcase on wheels) You can increase the power by switching to carpet (useful for kitty kibble cleanup). The photo with the rug shows the original level of dirt on the left and after a quick vacuuming on the right. Overall, the Kenmore BC3002 works very well, and I am especially happy with how well it deals with tracked-in dirt.

    Great Value, Dated Aesthetics
This vacuum feels like a bit of a throwback, given its dated appearance, solid-color plastics, canister build, and bagged style. Despite this, it works very well. It's a vacuum, not art - store it in the closet and you'll never know the difference. Appearance aside, the performance is solid. It works well on bare floors and high carpets, with a host of attachments to cover those jobs in between. The telescopic wand is sturdy aluminum and includes a switch to start/stop the brush on the Powermate attachment. I would like to see a power switch that controls the whole machine here, but that's not included. Overall, this is still a very useful wand. The Powermate cleaning tool really stands out. The brush is strong, easy to adjust, and there's a built-in breaker to prevent damage if the roller gets tangled up. It's powered by an electric motor, not just the strength of the air moving across it (as some vacuums do), so it really spins well. It truly combines the maneuverability of a stick vacuum with the power and capacity of a canister. I used it to clean a car floor mat that my cat's spent the last month sleeping on, and it picked up all the fur right away. If you don't have cats, just know that's incredible. The rest of the attachments are more or less standard vacuum attachments, relying mostly on the power of the vacuum motor. They work as you'd expect. The cord retractor is amazing. I do wish there were integrated storage for the crevice tool, but it's not that big of an inconvenience to store separately in the closet. The bare floor tool does have a dedicated space, but honestly, I just use the Powermate attachment for my hardwoods anyway. The bagged design is a departure for me. I prefer the idea of bagless, but I've run through 3 of those in the past 5 years (don't ever sand drywall and use your vacuum to clean it up), and they were all kind of a pain to empty and made a bit of a mess. The combination of the bag and HEPA exhaust filter really keep things cleaner than those other vacuums ever did. As much as I dislike the idea of replacing bags, the functionality is still better in mid-range products like this one. The bottom line is that it cleans very well, and it represents a nice balance of price and quality. It generates a lot of suction, includes a standard array of attachments, and is plenty maneuverable. It's nicely balanced and not terribly heavy, though its best to use two hands to move it. I've learned to accept the bagged system design. I'd like to see a power button on the extension wand, but otherwise, there's not much I'd change for a vacuum in this price range.

    Nice Kenmore Cannister Vacuum
This is one powerful, little machine that deeply sweeps carpets but gentle on bare floors. The nifty telescoping wand/handle easily clicks into the main vacuum head. With a push of a button the wand can telescope outward to sweep tall or hard to reach areas. The light gray lever is to lower the handle for sweeping. The handle clicks into place upright when finished. You can adjust the main head height by clicking the lever with your foot. I have not encountered any snagging so I have it had to use the Reset button. The cannister glides on non-skid wheels so it doesn't mark up floors. The big retractable cord and on/off buttons are on top of the cannister for easy access. On the handle there is a switch to select “carpet” or “floors” for easy transitioning while vacuuming area rugs on to bare floors. The bare floor attachment has a handy storage spot right under the on/off and retractable cord buttons. The 3-in-1 combo tool is just genius and allows easy vacuuming of curtains, car/furniture upholstery and small crevices. All the parts, except the cannister, are easily taken apart for under-bed or closet storage. I haven't had to empty or change the Hepa filters but all you have to do is open the cannister to gain access. Nifty cannister vacuum. Highly recommended.

    Does a good job.
This vac. does a pretty good job. We vacuumed the carpeted living room twice with this vac. and followed up with our Dyson, there was very little left for the Dyson to pick-up which says a lot about the Kenmore canister hepa vac. because we have 3 dogs and 2 daily playmate dogs plus 1 weekend dog. they are constantly going in & out of the pet door tracking in all kind of dirt & tons of pet hair. I like that the cord is retractable and I have the ability to change the height adjustment for area rugs etc. This will be the Vac. that we use in our camper when camping. The bag holds a lot more than I thought it would, I will be able to vac. several more times before replacing the bag. Oh' and the bag is super easy to put in and take out. nothing like the old school coiled metal band, this bag simply slides into a slot.

    Great on hard floors/pet hair/dust - convenient
I am really impressed with how the vacuum head worked on the hard floor. We have dark hardwood floors throughout our home and 5 furry pets that drop hair at record rates! It is very easy to see if a vacuum cleaner is doing it's job well. We are very impressed with how well this vacuum picks up dust and hair. I have to tell you my favorite feature on this vacuum cleaner is the foot operated release for the vacuum head. This vacuum design is very well thought out. I like that I can just step on it and release the head so I can vacuum a smaller area or vacuum something that doesn't require the head. Because the power to the head is a direct plug through the tube you don't have to reach down and unplug the power to the head by hand. You can release it with your foot, vacuum the area and then plug it back in without missing a beat. It is really convenient and intuitive on how a person actually vacuums. Another thing I like is the canister doesn't turn over when you pull it with the hose. I have had multiple canister vacuum cleaners over the years and my number one aggravation with them is they roll over if you pull them from an angle or the side. This vacuum doesn't do that! It just turns easily and follows you. I love that! Finally, I like that there is a slot to slide the hose/tube/head into when you store the vacuum cleaner. Traditionally canister vacuum cleaners are kind of a pain to put away and store. They came up with a design that allows you to basically hook the head and canister together so they don't just make a pile in your closet. It is very smart.

Super versatile! Read manual before use!
I love this vacuum! It has excellent sucking power when in carpet mode- like better than my Oreck and Dyson. It also does a good job in flat surface floor mode. All the features are there that you would want- a nice long telescoping wand, really nifty attachments, and a retractable cord. The cord is long. I was able to start downstairs, vacuum my entire stair case that turns, plus the landing and very nearby bathroom with out unplugging it. It does have quirks. There isn't a true power button on the handheld part- it is only on the canister. Speaking of canister, it has an exhaust out the back, so you cannot sit it upright- it definitely needs to roll. Not an issue until you get to the stairs. I would've preferred a complete handle on the canister versus a niche for my hand. The smooth floor vacuuming feature really functions more like an attachment- it only is vacuuming from the hose opening. It was kind of difficult to figure out which bags to use. Hint- they're pretty much the general canister bags for Kenmore. Once I bought more bags, I discovered they don't fit fully expanded in the canister- to me that is a design flaw, but shouldn't impact usage very much. Personally, I feel like some of the buttons to do things such as telescope the wand, or unstick the vacuum from upright position, could have been made a little more user friendly- or easier to switch. Lastly, I am not sure how to store the attachments, other than loose on the floor of my linen closet- there doesn't seem to be away to attach them to the vacuum to store (that I have figured out yet). I do love this vacuum- as I had mentioned it worked better than my other two vacuums. I love the attachment, and how it is designed to flip to change. I love the long retractable cord. It cleans very well. I definitely recommend!

    Great Suctioning
Overall, I really like the suction on this vacuum. I think it did a great job on my hardwood floors. And I loved that it had a setting on the handle that I could select if I were using carpet or the floor. The only thing I didn't like was the maneuverability of the unit. It seems a little cumbersome to me to have to drag the canister around. But I would actually trade maneuverability for great suction and this vacuum definitely has great suction!
