I can't believe the quality of this thing, considering the price! I would have paid double and would've been happy with the quality for a higher price. It's so heavy

Defect on top
The bench has a defect on the top part in a very visible location. It looks like a piece of tape was stuck to it before the finish was added. There is no way to remove it as the finish is completely sealed over it. I love the bench, otherwise!

    Very nice bench for the price.
    I really like my bench. It arrived the day after I ordered it and it took me about an hour to put together. The directions were easy to follow. I love that theres interior storage for hats and gloves etc. Everything was in perfect condition...no damages. I received a lot of compliments on it.

    Perfect for the mud room
    It looks great, just as pictured. Very sturdy and heavy. Not too hard for my husband to put together, the hinges did give us a little pause but all together would highly recommend.

    Exactly what I was looking for
    Had been searching for the right bench. Drove to different stores and nothing caught my eye or fit my vision. Pinterest led me to the walmart link. Out of anywhere, I never thought to look at walmart. Found this beauty and it's exactly what I was looking for. Simple, sturdy, right color, and useful. Color came exactly as shown. We are using it in under our coat rack that DID NOT come in the color as advertised (will that for it's own review). But this bench is a 10/10 for us.

    Beautiful and functibench with transitional design
    This. Bench is perfect for our guest bedroom.i It serves as a table when no one is using the room; when we have guests they can put their belongings inside and on the shelf and put their suitcases on top. Love it!

    Beautiful
    I looked through several benches before I settled on this particular bench. The packaging was done well, so there was no damage to the pieces. It took me ~30 min to put together. I'd suggest having a second set of hands when putting the cover piece. Otherwise, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The wood color is beautiful. The wood doesn't feel/look cheap. It's sturdy. It has a good storage space. I've placed it in our entrance hall, which is a nice accent. I'm happy and satisfied with this purchase.

    When we were ready to install the lid we noticed that some of the instructions were wrong, (at the very first step) We decided not to disassemble the bench but had to find a way to install the lid. Please review the instructions! Besides that it looks very good and it fits very well in the space we have.
