Love it!
Once the Masterbuilt 20 Quart 7-1 Outdoor Air Fryer arrived my husband and I unpacked it and decided to put it together right away. It's easy to assemble, it took like 15 minutes after I read the booklet. It's quite sturdy and looks real nice next to my grill on the deck. I'm looking forward to air frying a 20Lb Turkey for thanksgiving! In the mean time I used the baskets that come with it and tried out the dehydrator for some sweet potato chips. This product performs exceptional well and I just love all the options like the Air fry, Roast, Bake, Convection, Broil, and Dehydrate options. Love the tray for some wood chips when I smoked a brisket. My husband just loves this new addition to our outdoor cooking! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Missing screws, damaged out of box
Will update when issues are fixed. Missing 8 screws. Grease trap broken straight out of the box. No customer service available through Masterbuilt, not even for parts to put it together.

    I'm so impressed and happy!
    Omgoodness where do I begin? The unit is sleek and clean to the eye, it comes assembled except for the legs, handles and drip pan, it was so easy to follow the instruction manual, and when I saw that there was a very minor screw defect in the housing customer service was so helpful and quickly sent me everything I needed PLUS more! It's a breeze to operate, and my fried Turkey came out beautifully! Very little cleaning, just be sure to empty your drip pan half way thru cooking a big bird!

    Amazing!
    Another fine Masterbuilt product! Thanksgiving never tasted so good with a turkey coming out of this thing. Wings are amazing. Fries came out perfect. Loved the added surprise of being able to smoke and air fry at the same time.

    Follow the instructions.
    I'll have to begin by telling you to follow the temperature instructions of the manual. I watched YouTube videos before air frying and followed their temperature. The only good advice was to put aluminum foil on the top or it will burn. My turkey took 2 hours 40 minutes to cook and didn't cook 100% of the thigh. With that being said. The breast, wings and legs were juicy and the skin was perfectly crispy. I also had the turkey marinating for 24 hours before air frying it and I also used a little of mesquite wood chips at a time. Be careful because they tend to burn quickly and be 100% sure to keep checking the oil tray because the amount of grease the food releases would probably be enough to deep fry something (lol). You should not exceed the weight maximum because I went over by 4 Lb and my turkey legs were so tender a little came off as I was pulling it out. Do make sure you have a thermometer in hand. I would definitely recommend this product.

    Could not get it to smoke
    I had such high expectation from Masterbuilt. Everything was perfec, except I could not get it to smoke. 8t cooked my food to perfection other than that. It is a big unit with plenty of space, just wont smoke.

    I recently purchased the Masterbuilt 20 qt 7 in 1 Air Fryer. Here are my thoughts on the product. First it was very well packed as shown by my photos. The air fryer was packed in styrofoam and the corners on the styrofoam were protected with plastic edges (very nice touch). Except for the baskets all pieces to include the nuts and screws came in the two boxes and all of the parts were bubble wrapped. Assembly was easy. The directions were clear and easy to follow, however, you will need two different size Phillips and/or flathead screwdrivers. Assembly will take about a half hour. After assembly I allowed it to run for about 30 to 40 minutes to eliminate any odors etc from packing. I then air fried a 5 1/2 pound chicken. The chicken was rubbed inside and out with homemade Baharat rub and extra virgin olive oil. It was cooked for approximately 1 1/2 hours. The first 30 to an hour was at 400, (the air fryer preset), then raised to 425. (See photos). I did not used a thermometer during the cook as I mostly relied on time. So when I pulled it my instant read thermometer read well over 165 in areas. However that said we all agreed to include our guess said the skin was crispy and the chicken was very juicy. Overall I would say this was a successful first cook. Now for the pros and cons. Pros: Directions a are clear and makes it easy to put together Well constructed and sturdy Air fries very well Basket worked well Clean up was easy Cons: Poor cooking directions (basically non existent No recipes included Control system is not state of the art. It does not come with a built in thermometer or timer Overall observations. I do believe it is worth the money and is great if you want a large air fryer that is electric and want to use outdoor. But I did walk away thinking Masterbuilt rush building this product in order to get it to the market before Thanksgiving. The controller is old school, very old school. Especially in this day and age where so many manufactures have gone digital and offer so many functions that you can set and monitor (length of cook, total cook time, elapsed time, temperature monitoring etc). There is none of this available on the Masterbuilt 20 qt Air Fryer. There is no way you can fine tune the heat or set a timer You either use the presets for each function or turn the knob to the set increments and then guess as to how long it will take to cook. IMO this is a major drawback unless you like cooking by the seat of your pants.

    Verdict is Still Out
    I'm kind of frustrated, I have a love/hate relationship with this Masterbuilt 20 Quart 7-in-1 Outdoor Air Fryer. I have tried all the different functions via button and each works well. However; the instruction manual is confusing and missing needed information. Do we use the temperature knob if we just want to bake/adjustments or just use it when we don't want to use the buttons. Times for cooking would be nice if they were added to the manual, not just temperatures. Cleaning can be a nightmare too with all the small grooves. I tried using a steel wool on the baskets and the steel catches on the baskets and rips the steel. Not only that, I'm worried how long my drip pan will last with these marks in the pictures attached, the marks will not come off, will this lead to rusting faster? Bottom line, I like this air fryer and will continue to work with it to learn more, but for reasons named above I gave it a 4 star rating. My favorite part is I don't have to heat up the kitchen or use my propane.

    Amazing addition to the backyard.
    This things amazing. I run a youtube channel called the Gallery Backyard BBQ and will 100% feture this product their. Awsome. Remember, for outdoor use only but easy to move inside. Just did a beer can chicking using the attachment provided. Mind boggling how good it was. Priced right at 200.00.
