Fun for all ages
This nerf is extremely fun. It takes a few minutes to fully load the magazine but it's worth it when you can shoot darts in succession. My son absolutely loves it. This is actually easier for him to use because it's easy to grip the front piece and pull back and forward to prepare to shoot the dart. Also, he likes to use their magazine in his other nerf guns so the interchangeability is a big plus.

Why was this nerf blaster sold primed?
I don't know if this was done by Hasbro employees, the shipping carrier, or by Walmart employees, but this nerf blaster was sold primed. To explain, when I say the blaster was primed I mean the priming handle was pulled back, locking the spring in a full compressed state, ready to fire. Keeping the spring in this state weakens the spring which decreases the overall effectiveness of the blaster. I'm not the only customer who's dealt with this issue. I've watched YouTube personalities, read reviews and forums, and this seems to be an ongoing issue. This is a great blaster, too bad its power is hindered by having it's spring weakened by having it fully compressed for a long period of time.

    high capacity is awesome, (did not come primed ) it is a good distance nerf blaster, it is awesome but, be careful when it jams it can shred darts but I would buy again.

    Good for non competitive nerfers
    This blaster works well and I like it but the problem is that the blaster came primed and that is not good because if you prime a blaster and leave it there for a long time it can mess up the spring and therefore maje the blaster much softer and it won't shoot as hard. I would recommend for people who don't nerf competitively, but for the people who do nerf competitively I don't think you should get it.

    When i purchased this blaster, i was expecting Normal elite performance, but i was shipped this blaster primed, which is a HUGE no-no for nerf blasters because it weakens the spring. someone must have primed it and shipped it primed. now i could reccomend this only to nerf modders who want to modify their nerf blasters, and kids who dont care about the performance.

    The Alphatrooper is an iconic blaster and I'm so glad it was rereleased. A few awesome mentions: 1. The muzzle has been updated to accept barrel attachments. 2. The stock is comfortable, long, and solid. 3. The drum has good capacity and the darts are accurate.
