Very happy with the New Air Portable AC
My husband and I are so pleased with the unit. We live in the San Joaquin Valley in California where temperatures are usually 100+ in the summer. We bought this unit so that we can sleep comfortably in our room without running the entire house air conditioner all night. So far, it works great and we love it.

Not cold enough!
Not a good product. I bought this because I moved into a new house and have horizontal sliding windows and couldn't fit my $99 window air conditioner in my bedroom window. The lowest setting is 62 degrees and thats what I have it set at, says it gets there but still not cold enough. For $250, this should have no problem making my 150 sq ft bedroom an icebox but it just doesn't. My $99 window air conditioner is way more powerful. Plus this unit is pretty loud when it switches the condenser on, too the point it will wake you up in the middle of the night.

    Great portable unit so far
For all those negative reviews about these units not cooling well, all I can say is, yeah if you are in a uninsulated garage with bare wall studs including the roof beams, ur dreaming wanting this to cool the room. If you want the room meat locker cold, dreaming again. But it will for sure cool a insulated room the square feet it's made for, you'll be fine. If you are in a heat soaked insulated shed, it will work but it will need to run 8 hours to catch up and keep up. It's all dependent on insulation factors and the exhaust hose being as short as possible without the back vents of ac unit being to close to a wall. Also for max cool and max system efficiency, the fan speed should be on high speed-#12 page 10 of user manual. Also make sure the automatic mode is turned off-#1, page 10 of user manual, to get max compressor run time verses it cycling off and on even before temp setting is reached on #18, page 10 of user manual. I also suggest the temp setting be set at its lowest setting at first until the room is cooled down to your liking. Only dislike we have is the power cord end, the window we are using is for ease of use and it's in the kitchen with the unit sitting on a short heavy steel cabinet with a small baking pan under the wheels so the unit can't roll. The only way to plug the cord in is at the top outlet with that big conglomerate built into the cord which blocks the other plug in spot which we needed to use. So I used a heavy duty 15 amp spacer to clear the counter top back splash so we could move it to the lower receptacle. How about moving that LCDI circuit breaker cord outlet end away from the cord end by 6 inches and just have a regular 3 prong cord end to actually plug in to wall outlet

I have this in my dinning room and it just doesn't go below 79 degrees. It's basically a fan. Its pretty loud too but not much louder than a regular window air conditioner

Works well for us so far: we like it!
Took us a day or two to really understand the operation. We use air purifiers so the noise is not very different for us. Unit works well for us so far. We did give it 48hrs rest after unpacking before we started to use it. Blows cold and works fast.

    So far so good
I've only had this for a week and used it for a couple of days. It worked wonderful. Using in a mobile home in Texas it cools the front half perfectly. I'm very pleased. I thought there was a container to empty the water out but I just watch the container I have the hose drained into. Very happy so far.

    Great Unit
This AC rocks in our daughters bedroom. It seems to be the hottest room in the house and it is to the front of the house so a window unit would not have been the right solution. We turn it on about 30mins prior to and it is cold in there. Easy to assemble and was double boxed so it did not get damaged during shipping. It is a little loud but for us the cold air out ways the noise.
