Great for new parents!
We LOVE this product. A month ago we had an emergency with out little munchkin. It traumatized us both and we looked into getting a monitor. The insurance company lent us one but it was old school and hard to use. It was also super loud and only one sound, so when it went off you had no idea if the baby was ok or the monitor got loose. So I stumbled across the Owlet website and I'm so glad I did. I read all the reviews and we ordered one. We got the Sock 3 to try and would buy more if we felt comfortable. We fell in love with it. We had a hard time putting our munchkin in his crib at night because I would cry and have panic attacks. He's been in our bed with us almost a month. Not anymore..... thanks to Owlet. I feel so comfortable knowing our little one is safe. I love reading all the information from the night before. We couldn't do that with the insurance monitor. It also has a couple different alarms so you're not running about to have a mini heart attack. You know by the alarm of the sock is loose or the baby does need help. He's now been in his crib for a few days. It was easy to set up and we've had no issues. I definitely recommend this product and will be buying more in the future. I'm excited to try the camera and maybe get the sleep schedule so he can sleep through the night. I would have spent a lot more on this but I'm happy it's not too pricey. That way all parents can afford this for their little one. Thank you Owlet for keeping our munchkin safe and our family stress free.

Improvement from Sock 2 but new issues
The Sock 3 introduces improvements over Sock 2 but introduces new problems. I originally owned a Sock 2, loved it and so bought the Sock 3. But the 3 introduced new problems and so I got another Sock 2. (I need two Socks, one for the day and one for the night.) First, the good. The Sock 3 has wireless charging. It is fantastic to just drop it into the charging cradle instead of plugging in a micro USB cable. The Sock 3 is also slightly easier to wear. It is certainly easier to change into a new sock when the baby grows bigger. Now, the new problems. First, it is said that the Sock 3 is more sensitive than the Sock 2. I'm not sure of my 3 is a bit too sensitive. Whenever the baby cries hard - as all parents will know is quite normal - the sock registers a high heart rate. Given the loudness of the alert, I find that agitates the baby, who is already wailing, even more. Of course, were the alert accurate, that is something I would take most seriously. But both Sock 2s do not register a high heart rate under similar circumstances. Either Sock 3 or Sock 2 is wrong - neither is a good thing. Next, Sock 3 is very sensitive to fitting. I understand fit is important for a good measurement. But whereas I do not have a problem with Sock 2, I very frequently get a loose fitting alert with the 3, which results in persistent alerts. Now sometimes this happens if the baby moves a bit rigorously in his crib - obviously something I can't fix without waking him up! Finally, the BIGGEST problem with the Sock 3 is that the option to turn off the blue and yellow alerts is lost. The blue alert occurs when connection is lost with the base station, whereas the yellow alert occurs when the fit is loose. With the Sock 2, I could turn off these alerts while preserving the red alert (which is important). The company tells me the reason why I can't turn off the blue and yellow alerts is because the base station has a longer reach. While this makes sense, it fails to take into account a practical arrangement some parents may have. Let's say that my baby sleeps with his caregiver in a different room from me. But I want the base station in my room so that I can be alerted to any red alarms. However no matter how good the Sock 3 range is, it does not cover two rooms fully. Thus, when my caregiver in the other room brings baby to a rocking chair in the corner to feed, the blue alert goes off in my room. Or, the baby kicks and loosens the sock. The yellow alert goes off. Now I understand we need these alerts so that when there really is a red alert emergency, we will know. But I rather not have the blue and yellow alerts persistently interrupting my sleep when the cause - as often is the case - is innocuous. For this reason, I deemed the Sock 3 practically unusable for my setup. I therefore bought a second Sock 2 to use as my night sock. So my suggestion is - if you can get a 2, go get it. It offers more customisation options in terms of alerts. This may be necessary in some setups. It is also less sensitive - whether that is good or bad depends on whether the 3 is too sensitive. At least I don't have to compete with a red siren in the background when baby is crying!

    Thank God For This!
Had scariest experience! Alarm went off because my grandsons oxygen level got down to 78%! He had his face down on his alligator he sleeps with! I don't even want to think about what could have happened! This sock is TRULY a life saver!

    Peace of mind!
When our little guy was born he was quickly exposed to big brothers germs. We found ourselves in the ER with high a very high temperature at just 2 weeks old. Another 2 weeks go by and the virus is getting our guy down again with breathing issues. Back to the ER we went. I was terrified to sleep once we got home. So we went out and purchased the SS3 and quickly fell in love with the product. Our dude is now on the mend almost a month later. I see us continuing to use these products. I love the stats, sleep patterns, and knowing I can rest easy. We will continue to tell friends and family about the products! Great for keeping parents at ease!
I bought this a month ago after my newborn was released from the NICU with RSV and it was a lifesaver. It was the best thing to have to know how oxygen levels were for our daughter since she was sent home on oxygen. I will definitely be purchasing the bigger sock for my 2 & 4 year old for those times when they are sick and I want to know what their oxygen levels are at. Only way I've gotten some actual sleep
I bought the combo and couldn't be happier. The sock and monitor work wonderfully together and have given me such peace of mind. I had horrible anxiety and would watch my daughter sleep instead of sleeping myself. Now I get great sleep knowing that I will be alerted if something is going wrong. My husband calls the monitor my favorite T.V. show now bc I like to check in on her and knowing I can see her at anytime is a blessing. The app makes it easy to just look over at my phone and know she is perfectly fine. My daughter is 19 weeks old and I got mine when she was 12 weeks....only wish I would have had it at birth bc I probably would have gotten much more sleep! Thank you owlet for making this first time moms life a little easier.

    Life Saving
When we were gifted the owlet smart sock, I was at first skeptical, but after spending 68 days in the NICU with our son, it was the peace of mind I needed. Every single night after bringing him home, he wore his owlet. Occasionally, we'd get a false alarm, due to positioning of the sick. About 6 weeks after discharge, we put on his owlet and within 5 minutes it was alarming us that his oxygen saturation was low. We tried readjusting the sock, but it again alerted us of low saturation's. We ended up taking him to the ER, where we found out he was going into heart failure. Ultimately we had to be flown to the nearest children's hospital, but every doctor along the way told us how lucky we were to have had the owlet. The owlet sock really saved his life.

    Saved my granddaughters life
At 10 days old the monitor went off a few times and alerts her parents her sats had dropped below 90 because of the owlet they were able to show the trend to the Doctor and she was taken to the hospital for surgery. She was not breathing when she feel asleep and without the Owlet monitor I believe she would have became a SIDs static. Thank you for your product and saving my precious Raye OF Sunshine's Life.

Heart Condition discovered - thank you Owlet!
We purchased the Owlet and used it from the first night that we got home with our newborn son, Thomas. My ‘why' for splurging on one was peace of mind as a new mom. Mostly, the thought that if he rolled and could not breath through his nose we would be alerted. It calmed a lot of my new mom anxiety and let me sleep, a major gift in and of itself. That made the Owlet worth it to us, but what I didn't know was that we'd be even more grateful for it because it would lead us to discover our sons heart condition. When Thomas was five and a half months old we were doing our nightly bedtime routine and Thomas was happy, cooing, and himself. We read books, fed him, and put his Owlet on. The Owlet immediately alarmed us that his heart rate was at 288. We took the monitor off then put it back on hoping maybe it was a false reading. The alarm went off again. At this point we listened to his heart by putting our ears on his chest - the phrase “heart beating out of your chest” is no longer an expression, we felt this and it was absolutely terrifying. We rushed him to the Emergency Room. When we arrived the nurse confirmed a pulse of almost 290 and within seconds there was a slew of nurses rushing in; hooking up an EKG, putting an IV in, and holding him down (our poor sweet baby). It was incredibly hard to watch. After tests were administered a doctor came in to tell us that our son has SVT - supraventricular tachycardia - essentially he has an extra electrical circuit in his heart and occasionally his heart can get caught in that short circuit rhythm. This was something that he was born with and we did not know. The diagnosis was startling to us but it is a very managable condition and we are beyond grateful that the Owlet alerted us the way that it did. If it hadn't, he may have gotten sick and it would have taken us longer to find out the why. Our cardiologist related his little heart to a battery and how dangerous it can get if they work too hard. I cannot overemphasize to anyone who is expecting or has a new baby how thankful we are that we invested in an Owlet. Our son is thriving; he eats well, he is strong, he is happy. We had no idea that he had an underlying heart condition and we owe it to Owlet that we found it when we did. We continue to use it nightly (along with monitoring his heart with a stethescope daily and administering his medication according to his cardiologist). We hope this story helps others that may find themselves in a similar situation we are - every penny was worth it! Thank you Owlet!

    Complete life saver!
At first me and my husband were not on board with getting the Owlet for our daughter. Saying we lived without one and came out just fine. Well after spending our first initial night home, we quickly realized how much panicking and worrying can happen once it comes time to sleep. We were fine in the hospital sleeping but it's like once you are home and in your own environment it's hard to relax without constantly worrying if she is okay. The second night we got our owlet and we slept like a dream (besides waking every 3 hours for her needs). We felt so at ease knowing she was breathing well and her heart rate was in good range. Overall I would buy this product one million times over.
