This shaver is worth the price.
Got this on sale for my honey. Straight razors aren't his thing, so he's been using the bargain electric shavers that take forever to get the job done. When he first got it, he was scared that it would shave the skin right off his face. The hairs on his face are soft, but they grow in fast and thick. Now he can shave everyday and it only takes a few minutes. He hasn't tried a wet shave but so far has been thrilled with it. Only peeve I have is that it's not flat on the bottom, so it doesn't stand straight up, which means where ever it lays, there's a pile of hairs. A soap dish works to contain. Read other reviews about how expensive the replacement blades/foils were. In my opinion, if it's a nice clean shave that is convenient and only takes a few minutes, it's worth it. And if the concern is the price of the foils/blade replacements being half the price of a new shaver, then get a brand new shaver if it makes you feel better. This shaver is worth the price.

The shaver is excellent. The seller on Walmart is horrible! No response whatsoever when I ask to re order the item.

decent shave without more blades then other models of the razor. motor sounds like no other razor but you get use to it. Trimmer is not to good - suffers because of streamlined shape.

A lot better than the other version I use
This may not be a fancy shaver, but for its great performance as an old shaver I would choose this out of all the shavers that I have used in the past and so far it works pretty well.

Best close shave ever with an electric razor
I haven't had an electric razor for a very long time. After Carotid Artery surgery I was left with a scar and a numb neck. This made for precarious shaving on that side of my neck. I cut myself very easily due to not having the feeling I used to have. The feeling is coming back now after 6 months, but still not totally back so I figured this would be safer shaving. Great after the first time!! I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true.

Great power in a electric shaver....
I didn't know what to expect from this shaver at first but after I tried it.....I am a believer. The power of this shaver is very good and it's not too heavy in either hand. I'm an Afro American male and the closeness of the shave is the most confortable I've come across in a electric razor. I use it as a wet shaver and cleanup is a breeze.

    good shave
Shaves pretty close but not as close as the 8109. No self cleaning system...thats kind of a bummer. But that will save you over $100. Charges last a few days. Panasonic makes the best wet & dry razors!

Good shaver but requires multiple passes.
This is a pretty good shaver. However, it takes time and work to get that close shave. It particularly requires multiple passes to get the neck hairs. Because it takes so much time, I only get three to four shaves per charge. Then there's that annoying problem of their not including a cleaning brush....

    Good razor
Coming from a blade razor this is a good razor for every day use. The "Sideburn Trimmer" is mediocre and is not very good for trimming a mustache or beard. Charge lasts for days and charges quickly. I like the cord that plugs into the bottom as opposed to the stand for the counter. This takes up less space and is lighter for traveling too. Good shaver and good value compared others.

FOR MY LIGHT BEARD, does not work well at all...
I bought this for about $100 and previously had a Bruan series 7...the series 7 was my first electric razor and it was very smooth, dry-only usage, and i did not need any pre-shave treatment. I could literally go from waking up to shaving my beard as is, and earned a very close shave, only having to go over areas once. With the Panasonic, i confess i have only used it about 6 times, mostly as a wet shave, but it just doesn't do nearly as close a shave as the Braun. Wet works much better on my light growth, but dry is horrible...multi trips across my face, back and forth and in diff directions to get the same hairs. Hopefully it works better for you. Some reviews state it works very well so i guess everyone is different and the razor affects us differently.
