Penn squall30 combo works
Have caught many fish including this six foot shark off San Diego coast with my Penn 30 combo. Saltwater doesn't phase it, still works smooth after a year of fishing

Broken when received!
Rod arrived with a broken guide. Item was poorly packaged, vendor did not take care in packaging item for shipment, rod and reel was not covered or packed with anything in the box. I contacted the vendor to return and they wanted to send me a replacement guide that I would need to pay to have fixed!! Would not recommend!!!

    Great Balance between pole and reel.
    The combo with braid and fluorocarbon li e caught a yellowtail on the firat drop. Sentive to bite and string enough to pull in.

    Great rod and reel combo.

    Excellent Combo!
    Girlfriend was having trouble feeling strikes when Cod/Haddock fishing with a regular jig rod. I ordered up a couple of these combos and loaded them with some braid. Problem solved! Rods have a great feel to them and she doesn't miss a set now! Glad I ordered a second one as it will now be my go to Cod/Haddock combo. The Squall Star drag seems to be a pretty solid reel. Liking the 6:1 ratio. Overall, excellent combo for the money.

    You get what you pay for!
    I recently purchased a Penn Squall combo and tested it on the Gulf of Mexico near Corpus Christi, Texas. What I found out was that you get what you pay for. Compared to other rods and reels the Penn Squall combo surpassed other competitors. Smooth action, along with sturdy rod for heavy action is unsurpassed. I got to land several groupers and sharks with no hesitation. Thank you Penn for a good product.

    Great Reel and Pool Combo
    I bought a 21ft. Edge-water and have not been fishing for quite sometime. I e-mailed Penn and asked a gentlemen named Tony Dubeck. I explained that I wanted to start purchasing gear for my boat and gave him my budget.
