love live live this DVD Bluray player
I purchased this because I had a bought the first season of The Chosen and my current DVD player would not play the second disc. This player is fantastic. It was super easy to hook up. I did have to buy additional HDMI cable since it wasn't included. I think that should be included in the box. It come with a nice feeling remote. Buttons are easy to see and use. It player the disc smoothly and was super quiet. If you need a bluray player buy this one.

Please notice the date that I leave this review and the day listed on my receipt attached. SAME DAY EXPERIENCING ISSUES!
If I could give zero stars I would. I LITERALLY just left Walmart a couple of hours ago from purchasing this product. In the process of moving, my last DVD player was broken so I ended up with this... I removed it from the box, great. It was easy to hook up and get it going until I put a Blueray disk in and now it's keep reading “incompatible.” Then I go to put a normal DVD in this player and same thing! I am literally furious. Not only were my kiddos happy to finally have a movie night in our new home, including myself! While in the store I debated whether to go with the LG player or this one and I regret my decision.

I have attempted to contact Philips for a new one, their representative has hung up or dropped the call several times . After 2 hours attempting to contact them, this is going in the garbage. I purchased extended warranty, Allstate will not honor since it is supposed to be under the manufactures warranty with me purchasing only 3 months ago. I guess if I want to wait a year, maybe Allstate will honor their warranty at that time.Stephen

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/28/2021Avoid some brands of electronicsThis Philips DVD/BLUE-RAY player quit working after three months and five to ten days so Walmart would not allow it to be returned. To get this item repaired you have to call the Philippines and they will not send return label unless you trouble shoot with them on the phone. It is impossible to understand them and i spent hours and did not accomplish anything. I even purchased the extended warranty from Walmart but it is not any good until the twelve month manufacturer warranty from Phillips is up. So i just lost about sixty five dollars plus. Do not buy Phillips products.Shadow

Well, after only 3.5 months, it has stopped working. The warranty is only for three months. My last DVD player has lasted 18 years so far. It feels much sturdier and is still working! I wanted one that had blue ray. I never even had a chance to try the blue ray. Now this piece of junk stopped working with one of my DVDs inside of it. I cannot eject the DVD, so I'm going to have to break it before I throw it in the garbage. Don't waste your money. $55 doesn't buy you much these days.Donna

I ain't married but I've lost this remote too many times, and I have no one to blame but myself. Once I find the teeny tiny remote, I have to find my glasses to read the buttons.John

Then it would not play some of my dvds even though my of old unit did. Called support, they could not help. Tried to return a told cannot since it was ordered on line and was over 30 days since I got it. It has o1 year warranty.EDDY
