Great Snow Blower at a Great Price!!!
I was worried when I bought this because it seemed as though there were some pretty negative reviews. Since I bought this we have had to reallybig snow falls, first one we got 18" and the second one that just finished this morning was 8 inches.
Let's start off by saying when I took it out of the box it was missing one of the dowel pins for the wheels. I just used a bolt and a nut, it workd perfectly. Now, I have never had to pull the rope starter more than twice to get it started, most times it starts on the first pull. It goes through just about anything you can put in its way. It clears the snow easily and throws it about as far as you want it to.
I am sure some have has some problems, but I bought one for us and one for my in-laws, we both are very happy with these and I would definitley buy them again, if needed. Worth every bit of what I paid for them!

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/19/2022Poor Quality for USA madepurchased the PSSW24 Powersmart Snowthrower exactly a year ago and have used it 5 times when it had a major malfunction! The Drive Gear somehow fell apart and got entwined with the Auger Belt Gear, causing the machine to get stuck in drive with blades and Auger spinning! Letting go of the levers that control the Augr and Drive did nothing! The machine was in high gear and would not stop until I was able to steer it into the snowbank and slow it down long enough to pull the key out and kill the engine! This ceated a vary dangerous situation that fortunately did not harm anyone. The key is located near the choke on the engine, which made it difficult to reach in an emergency like this one where the machine had to be controlled with both hands until it could be stopped! I now see that they have recalled 64,300 of these units for similiar issues with the Drive Gear getting stuck in Drive, creating a dangerous situation that so far hasn't created any injuries, but is bound to happen eventually if it's not repaired! Be sure to check if it's a recalled Snowthrower before purchasing one! I gave it a 3 because Customer Service never answered the phone after several 30 minute holds waiting for them to answer, also for not notifying me that the machine i purchased and registered was recalled and dangerous to operate! I purchased this model because it was USA made, but now I wonder if that means anything anymore... GO BRANDON!!Mike

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/06/2022great blower for price but not perfect shapecame early. it also came in an undamaged box. but the fron lower on both side of auger area shoot opening area was bent pretty good so since box came undamaged it tells me and u the ones who build them only to a certian point and box them are the ones damaging these snow blowers. cause if it was fedex and walmart knownly knows that fedex doing such a thing and still use them to ship would just make walmart a company of no smarts or care about ur purchase but i was able to slightly unbend those spots. other then that came also with all parts and spares and runs awsome and tested it in a small snow pile and that thing launches that snow like a rocket i can almost hit a power line with shooy full upward postion lol.frog

That wasnt the case at all, blower was damaged and they only wanted to take $99 off and it wasnt even the model i paid for. now they have none in stock to replace.doug

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/06/2022Not Correctly AssembledHave to order a belt for this, simply it seems they didn't assemble it correctly by having the belt ride the pully and it just jumped off and stretched itself out and stopped working. Not good of a product if this happens in a foot of fresh snow.HeavensHomestead

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/22/202224" Powersmart snowblower wit Briggs Statton motorI received the 24" snowblower a few days ago, and it was in decent shape, with only a couple of small scratches that were easily touched up with fingernail polish. The plastic crankcase cover needed some Dremel sanding to allow 180 degree free rotation of the discharge shoot. My machine came with directional mounted tires, but both tires were mounted for the left hand side. Discount Tire remounted the right side tire on the rim, and that corrected the directional problem for only $8. I'm having trouble registering my purchase with the Powersmart USA website. I tried 7 times so far, over a 3 day period, and the icon just keeps spinning and never accepts it. The machine runs fine, but it is still summer here in the Midwest. I don't expect any problems when the snow hits, but we will see. Overall, the machine build is fine IMO, and might need some cable adjustments when I actually use it in the snow, we'll see. I did call several authorized Powersmart repair centers in my area, and the most important failure item was a stripped crankcase. DO NOT try to change the speed while the machine is in motion. This will damage the crankcase, and is not covered under warranty because of operator error. Read the operator manual for this warning. Always come to a full stop before changing speed lever!Ralph
