We love this American Licorice Co - black YUMMY
YUMMY ALERT: Black Licorice Candy Lovers Rejoice!! Do not hesitate to order this!! For a treat these cannot be beat! That is, if you are a black licorice candy fan, these are YUMMY. Arrived sealed with safety band intact, opened to find soft, fresh candy whips and lots to go around. Plenty for any black licorice candy fan and plenty to share family or coworkers! RECYCLE NOTE: Nice use-again strong clear plastic canister that clicks shut can be used later for small kids toys (Legos? Puzzles?) and other household organizing stuff. My aunt uses her canisters for storing yarn as she is a yarn crafter and knits, knits, knits all day long. Could also store flour/nuts/sugar/cookies. We love you, American Licorice Company, may you last forever and ever, thank you!

    So so Flavor, probable better options
    I believe they have changed the flavor of the black licorice, I still like the original red vines but the flavor of the black has an odd flavor I can't place. It seems they may have changed the flavoring from the past.

    Best Black Licorice and bulk pricing is way to buy
    delicious! best black licorice around. Too bad it is NOT carried in any of the Walmart locations and MUST be ordered, which means you have to meet a minimum dollar amount order for free shipping. If it were carried in stock in store you'd probably sell more cause the red vines are just as delicious as the black! and cheaper to buy 3 lb than a bunch of 8 oz cause you never had many in stock, and at a higher price.

    This is for black licorice lovers!
    I have loved black licorice ever since I was a kid, and this tastes just as good. However, I am disappointed that American Licorice Co. has quit using molasses, and now uses corn syrup.

    You get what you pay for.
    Looked like black licorice but tasted like cardboard. Bought two 3.5 pound containers which are both in a landfill today. Please pay more for quality. Will never buy again.

    Not a bad deal.
    Its getting progressively harder to find black licorice for my mother. She only likes the Red Vines. The prices are slowly going up, and they arent found in store any longer. But shipping is fast. Quality is great.

    If your hungry buy your own licorice!
    Low rating has nothing to do with licorice - I love Red Vines. Order was made online and when delivered one of the containers was unsealed and it looked like some product had been removed. Normally you have to really work at getting the first few out of the container and this was not the case with the opened one and it was missing the cellophane wrapper that seals the top to the bottom. Someone must have wanted a snack when they were packing the box.
