Soft and Smooth
All my life I've been using a blade razor to shave and I just got tired of paying so much blades and buying them so often. I decided it's a better bargain and better for the environment to use an electric shaver. Remington is a trusted name so I was happy to give this a go. I was a little disappointed when I opened the box to find the shaver doesn't come with a carrying case, that would have been a nice option but I'm sure I can find something to use. Then I looked around for the manual. I'm one of those people who likes to read the manual before I use something, no manual. I knew it would have to be charged up, so I plugged it in and sent an email and quickly got an email back with a pdf file of the manual. That's when I discovered that along with the shaver, the stand and the charging cord there was also supposed to be a cleaning brush. I knew there was no cleaning brush or I would have seen it while I was searching for the manual. I gave them a call and they are sending me the brush in the mail. I should receive it in 7 to 10 days. I do have to say, I like the shaver, it does a pretty nice job. It gave me a very smooth clean shave. I have some stubborn spots in my beard where the hair goes all wonky and curls around. It was always tough to get those spots with a blade but by moving this shaver around in different directions it gave me about the closest shave I've had. I was worried that I might have trouble cleaning it before the cleaning brush arrived. I'm not sure if I'll really need the cleaning brush as long as I use it as a dry shaver. When I pulled the guard off to clean it, there was a lot of fine stubble inside but it all washed away very cleanly. I actually was shocked at how easily it cleaned up and it only took a few seconds to rinse it clean. I was really impressed with this feature. I used to shave in the shower, one of the reasons I wanted an electric shaver was so I could conserve water and not shave in the shower. I did give it a test with the wet shave, it was nice, it slides more easily along the face, I don't think the shave is any closer but maybe a little faster. After watching guys shave on TV and in the movies I had the impression that it was much faster to shave with an electric shaver and maybe it is if you have a normal beard. For me it's not faster, it takes about 10 minutes to shave and get every spot. I'm still a beginner and the directions say that it can take 2 to 3 weeks before your face gets used to an electric shaver. I suppose with practice I'll cut down on the shaving time. Another feature that I really like is the flip out trimmer, it really does the trick on the sideburns and that little spot under my nose where the shaver couldn't reach. It pops out quickly, zip, zip, trim, trim and I'm done. I wish I'd gotten one of these years ago, think of all the water I would have saved and all the money on disposable blades. This seems like a no brainer investment now that I have it. I am really happy with it, I'm sure you'd enjoy having this razor or if you buy it for a gift it will mean a lot to the guy who's going to use it. I bet he thinks of you every time he shaves.

Good service from Walmart!
Delivery was prompt and item packed well. Kudos to Walmart for being a good alternative to Amazon! But the Remington shaver.... some new things are better, some are not. This shaver is much more difficult to work with than my old D model. The push button switch is more troublesome to use versus a slide switch. It takes both hands to turn on the shaver. There is too much material on the sides of the head making it difficult to trim closely: Much more difficult to actually see the flex foil cutters as you are shaving. The cord connector is very difficult to remove from the shaver as well. I have ordered parts to fix up my old D model and will use the Pf model as a backup.

    Good basic cordless shaver. I don't need lots of features for my usage. This is a replacement for an older Remington foil shaver that won't keep a charge anymore.

    not a bad razor
    the remington 4 is a good shaver for the average beard. my husband has a heavy tough beard and has never found a electric razor that will last or cut his beard. he has to go over a spot eight times to get a clean cut.the instructions do say to shave every day for the first 30 days weather you need to or not we are hoping it will work better as time goes on. he has not gotten razor burn from shaving with the razor. with hand held razors he gets razor burn, and cuts very badly. the design is great makes it easy to hold and operate. there is another bad thing when you take the head off to clean the razor one or both blades do come off. don't panic the blade will snap right back in place. this razor i very easy to clean. just pop off the head. in side will be two little blades use the little brush to clean them right into the waste basket. this to me means no more messy beard dregs left all over the bathroom sink yuck. i think offering other colors like silver, green ect.. would be nice and something new. as far as durability i think the razor will last a little better then average. the only thing i worry about is the blade coming off half of the time if this might be bad for them.

    Best Razor Ever
    Best razor ever is a quote from my son whom I believe is a razor aficionados. He has bought many razors, due to the fact he just was not satisfied by performance. He has been using this Remington razor for a couple of weeks, and still has no complaints. The razor came fully charged ( charger is included) and he has only had to charge it one time since it arrived. It should stay charged for 40 minutes before needing to re- charge.The shaver is washable, the head easily pops off for cleaning. One really nice feature is the pop up trimmer, which allows you to stop the shaver to pop up during shave. This built in attachment works great on sideburns. The head is pivot and flex for a close shave around the jaw, and neck. I though the razor seemed to be quieter than most. Sure enough, it advertises 20% quieter. Enclosed in the box is also a piece called the head guard. This is actually a great piece ( combined with the pivotal head) for fading or a shadow look. I have attached a picture of the shaver with the head guard. The box also states 2x more blades vs. Braun Series 1 models. It works great, really pleased with this product. But if you aren't happy, there is a money back guarantee.

    I am a double-edged razor kind of guy, currently using triple edge razors. I obtained a sample of the Remington F 4 comfort series shaver for my nephew. He attends a private school with strict grooming standards. He has used the shaver for two weeks with a positive impression. He obtains a close, comfortable shave when used on a daily basis. As an experiment, he did not shave on the weekend and found the shaver provided an uncomfortable shave [pulling & pinching}, which is to be expected. After all, if I don’t shave for three days, I experience discomfort and I spend more time unclogging my triple edge than I do actually shaving. The shaver has two features in particular that he appreciates. The first is a lithium rechargeable battery which allows unencumbered use (no Cord). Second, is the pop-up trimmer which he found very convenient for detailing his sideburns. The trimmer works very well. His main concern is that it is recommended that the foil shaving head be replaced once per year [$20.00], a bit of a strain on a 15-year-old’s budget, though cheap compared to the annual cost for triple edge blades. However, he found the removable head quite convenient for cleaning. Remington even scored on aesthetics, my nephew commented “it has a nice look to it”, so apparently it has the cool factor as well. Based on my nephew’s feedback, I would recommend this shaver to anyone who enjoys or is considering an electric shaver.

    My first experience with Remington products
    The Remington F4 Comfort Series Intercept Foil Shaver PF7400 was my first experience with Remington brand products. This particular model comes with a cleaning brush and a head guard cover that also doubles as a stand to keep the razor in an upright position when not in use. I found the instruction manual to be lacking, as it was a generic brochure that covered several different types and models. I prefer having specifics about my particular product, without including all the specs and information about other models. According to the manual, this shaver has a 16 hour full-charge time and a 40 minute cordless shave time. Also, it is a DRY shave only razor, not for use in the shower or with shaving products. As a note for international travelers, the shaver automatically adapts to an outlet voltage between 100V and 240V, according to the instructions. The pop-up trimmer feature does seem to work well, as I tested it on my husband’s sideburns, however, I must report that the shaver itself was totally ineffective on my husband’s face. I did, however, find that it worked well as a “personal” grooming tool. Therefore, I do not recommend this shaver for use on the face, but for the other applications, I recommend it completely.

    Clean, comfortable shave
    My husband was hesitant to try this razor based on his past experiences with similar ones. He said the others always left him with irritated, bumpy skin and never provided a close enough shave. But he loves this Remington! He says it glides smoothly and provides a nice clean shave. No irritation, bumps or ingrown whiskers. He likes the trim attachment that pops up with the press of a button. Says it's good for trimming sideburns and goatees. Works very well. He said it is very easy to clean. He has only been using it a week or two, but it is still running on the original charge. So nice to know he won't need to charge it up too often. Also, some battery-powered razors can be obnoxiously noisy, but this one hasn't woken me up yet! He likes that the razor feels hefty in his hand, but it is still easy to maneuver, glides over the curves of his face easily. Overall, we were both surprised how much he likes this razor, and he says he would recommend it to anyone.

    Great Razor
    This is a nice shaver. I gave it as an early Father’s Day gift to my husband. It worked right out of the box and gave him a close shave. What more can you ask for in an electric razor? He has owned many electric razors in the past but for whatever reason this one gave him a close shave without having to put as much pressure on his face as with his older electric razors. It did not leave shave marks or prickly sensitive skin afterward. This Remington F4 Comfort Series Intercept Foil Shaver would make a great gift for men young and old. I only wish it came with a travel bag for when he goes out of town for work but he can just wrap it in a tee shirt and roll with it. This is a durable shaver and definitely looks to belong in the 21st century unlike the older models that were heavier and louder. Although I obtained this shaver free I did look up the price on several websites ranging from $31 to $39.99 which I would have gladly paid retail for this razor. My husband insists it would be worth that price and or more considering the ones he has purchased through the years. You will not be disappointed.

    The design of the Remington PF comfort Intercept series foil shaver is made very well, and seems solid. This model is superior in every way, the quality is excellent. It's light weight great for travel. The handle shape is ergonomically correct very comfortable to hold and grip, in various positions. Even the pop-up trimmer is efficient and works great on a 5 day old coarse beard, mustache, and side burns without yanking or pulling the skin. The head pivots and flexes to get every nook and cranny including the chin and neck without irritating the skin, or developing a rash. It offers a close shave without the use of soap, shaving cream or water. Shaving is pain free, no cuts, pinching, or razor bumps after using. No five o'clock shadow in the afternoon or evenings face stays smooth and clean looking. If you just let the razor glide over your face it cuts quite well. The head cover is simple and comes on/off easily for replacement when needed. Cleaning is effortless run under the water and shake excess, then let dry before storing. It holds enough of a charge for a weeks worth of shaves, without any noticeable loss of power and/or quality of shaves. The one thing I wish it came with was a case or stand, but still very pleased with the results and would highly recommend this product.
