Great For Second TV
I have Roku in my living room and wanted to have Roku in my bedroom. I have a Samsung TV in the bedroom and I just don't care for the user interface. This was a simple and inexpensive way for me to have Roku in my bedroom as well.

Garbage
I have to restart it every day before I use it because the sound cuts out every few seconds. And sometimes there are horizontal lines flickering randomly on the TV screen after restarting the device requiring another restart. Also, the remote is IR which does not work as well as my old Roku which used RF.

    We purchased 2 roku 2930x devices in 2020 and following an automatic update pushed through the manufacturer; completely rendered our devices unusable. This is a known issue - keep seeing this complaint from multiple roku purchasers online as well. In addition, it has been essentially impossible to reach a live customer support agent through their website. After this last experience, we won't be purchasing any more of their devices.

    Very Disappointed
    I bought this almost an month ago and I'm highly disappointed. My Roku only connects to personal hot spot and not my actual WI-FI. How dumb is that. So not only it doesn't connect automatically to Wi-Fi, I have to restart at every use!!!!!

    Easy set up but...
    So I have a Roku Express( it's great) and decided to get the premiere for another TV. Only issue I'm having is when we turn the TV back on the Roku doesn't come on? I have to unplug it every freaking time to get it on? Idk if I'm doing something wrong or what?

    No more YouTube
    Once the best streaming device is basically now a brick for me and most Roku owners because of the separation from YouTube & YouTube TV apps. A great streaming device & the world's most popular streaming app for independent content creators should not be separated.

    Waste of money in 2021
    Bought this to get off of our LG Smart TV with the integrated WebOS because this advertised support for 4K streaming. Works about 50% of the time, the rest of the time, it has a lot off trouble loading 4k videos on Netflix, amazon prime and sling that the LG Smart TV had no trouble with it at all. The lack of a 5ghz wireless connection and only wireless B/G/N support is ancient in terms of wireless technology by at least a decade. Even with 500/100 internet, this thing can still only manage about 1.8mbps throughput from my wireless router. The price makes it no big loss but save yourself the money and put it towards something else with better internal hardware and modern WiFi support.

    Simple but flawed
    I bought this back in November. I liked the fact that it's a cheaper Roku option that comes with all the apps still. My two biggest complaints are 1) the Roku will randomly disconnect from my internet and 2) the remote kills the batteries about every 1-2 weeks. I have a Roku TV, and I've never had problems like this before with my TV. The device will randomly disconnect from my internet, and I have to turn it off, wait, and turn it back on again. Or reboot my whole WiFi. Also, the batteries it came with worked for about 2 months. Then, the batteries died. Ever since then, I've had to replace them at least every two weeks. If you're looking for something easy and cheap, go for it. If you're looking for something with fewer nuisances, pick a different streaming device.

    Overheating
    I had this streaming player about a year or two and it has constant over heating issues . I repeat the steps of unplugging at least 10 mins but still over heats? I am disappointed as I switched from the fire stick to Roku after hearing such great things and cutting the cord. If roku doesnt improve it will loose valuable customers so improved.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED
    I have been a fan of Roku for years gave them as gifts and have them in many rooms in my home. Bought this about a year ago and have had problems from the get go Terrible product over all. • Shut off and restarted • Continual dropped signals • Will not connect - Telling me I have to many channels delete some [Only have 14) This is a Terrible product and would recommend you don't buy
