Display monitor with USB type
I needed an extra monitor to work with my Samsung notebook pro 9 touch-screen laptop and this monitor came in handy with satisfactory features and a beautiful display. Setting it up was easy. I chose extended monitor display settings, so I can have different screen displays at the same time, instead of mirroring the screen. Remember to adjust the screen brightness to your preference.

High pitched wining noise
got two of these monitors for my girlfriend. it's been months, but we finally set them up with her new pc and they both have a terrible, high-pitched wining noise coming directly from the monitors when powered on and connected to the computer (coil whine?), although one monitor is louder than the other. noise happens whether it's an hdmi or displayport connection. it has a cadence like a slow cricket and its super annoying, impossible to ignore. again, both monitors are like this, but one is definitely louder. another issue: we can't get the internal speakers to work, even with all the right drivers. picture is good, though.

    Great height for a monitor
Monitor works great as a work from home monitor. I enjoy the usb-c display along with the height of the monitor stand. I like to plug and play with my work laptop and this monitor lets me to place my laptop right in from of the monitor letting me to use both displays without having to purchase another keyboard and mouse. One downside is that the monitor does wobble since when I'm typing since the monitor and be adjusted to be vertical screen. I don't use this feature so I would have preferred if it was only in landscape but other users might have different use cases. I don't mind it not having a speaker and prefer it not having one since it would make the monitor heavier and more costly.

Love the USB-C option on this!
This is a great monitor, I use it for work and the resolution is crisp and easy on eyes. I love the 4K resolution, even though it's a 27" monitor it allows me to have windows side-by-side and work swiftly. Stand is sturdy, the height and tilt adjustment is nice to have. Loving it so far!

Good Display ; Bad HDMI connection
the hdmi connection drops frequently and the display goes dark for a few seconds and comes back. pretty unusable at times. i tried with two different laptops / two hdmi cables and power outlets but the issue persisted. otherwise the display looked great (when i could see it) .

    Product Quality Control is Terrible
bought one a a few weeks back and found no issues with it. still using it without any problem. it's worth what i paid. wanted a second. placed another order. received one with noise coming from the back, or, as it's been called elsewhere, coil whining. returned the second and placed new order for a third, because samsung is not doing replacement now. received the third and the screen doesn't even display properly. about to return the third and wonder if going through the same experience again would be worth it.

Best 4K monitor quality/price you will find
i bought two of these monitors for my work-at-home station. out of the box the eco-sensor was disabled by default; i didn't experience the dimness "issues" that other wrote about. if your monitors are too dim for your liking, use the controls at the bottom of the monitor to turn the eco-sensor off. sharp monitor, brilliant color. had no issues keeping up with a macbook pro m1 scrolling websites, watching movies, or switching between machines - i also use an older hp elitebook g5 from work. zero refresh latency at 4k 60 hz. both machines are connected to the monitors via alogic blaze thundebolt 4 dock. i replaced two acer sb270 monitors with the samsung su80a monitors. although the vesa mount compatability is a feature often taken for granted, this was a much appreciated feature for me.

with a little tweak, the S80AU is excellent.
it was significantly dim when i first turn on the screen, but i resolved the dim issue with a few tweaks first, i turned off eco sensor mode in system menu which i believe has a big impact on the low brightness of the screen. eco mode on any screen will decrease brightness to save energy, so it makes sense to turn off eco mode to get the full power of your monitor. i also increased brightness to 85, set black level to normal, and game mode to always on and it did the trick. the result was an amazing screen with more than enough brightness and amazing color details. you can see the s80ua on the right side looks brighter than the thinkvision t27-p10 (1 of the best monitor out there) overall, with a little tweaking, the samsung monitor s80ua is excellent with more than enough brightness.

    Not kidding, very Dim
hi, i bought these monitors because i trust samsung as a brand but this is very dim monitor. wife and i each got this monitor as our primary second screen to our macbook pros. the macbook pro screen is significantly brighter and the contrast between the two is very noticeable. we've played around with all the settings and even with brightness at 100, it's disappointingly dim, regretful as i can tell the resolution is excellent. i will be returning, which is such a pain. btw, i did try with both usbc and hdmi, same results.
