Samsung 49" 5120 x 1440p Monitor Review
Been eyeing this for over a year. Finally jumped on it when it was $200 off. The monitor arrived no problem. I come from triple monitor set-up and this 49" makes me not miss it. This is basically two 27" monitors put together. I really like the no bezel look. Everything looks seemless now. Awesome for gaming and productivity. With the higher resolution text and gaming looks better on this monitor. Walmart is a great way to go to get this monitor because the 4 year extended warranty is really affordable $77..... everywhere else is at least $100 or more. It was a no brainier for me.

Weak screen and connectivity issues
i bought my crg9 to use with a 2020 macbook pro. these two are not compatible with hmdi, which resulted in me switching out to displayport connectivity. however, even then you must be careful with the quality of the displayport cable if you want an optimal resolution. unfortunately for me, while swapping out a displayport cable, i dropped an end and it swung in contact with the screen. despite barely any force, it resulted in a nasty crack that has rendered this monitor useless. i didn't even have this for a month and now i'm left with a huge paper weight. i would recommend avoiding this product completely.

    Horrible product
Loved this monitor until one day after less than a year of use the screen tore right down the middle. Horrible product.

HDR issues - All other features work great
neo g9 hdr has been non-usable on the majority of hdr capable games. using latest firmware 1006.1 have an lg c9 and enabling hdr was always a visual improvement. hdr on the neo g9 has not once been an improvement in any game i have tested i have also tested this on the latest version of win10 and win 11. sdr gaming is amazing. 240hz, vrr/gsync work great. hope this is a firmware issue i will return if samsung doesn't fix. hdr is not just low quality, it's laughable i attached some comparison screenshots of hdr on vs off in hellblade. which is known for having great hdr.

This monitor its truly worth the price
i accidently broke the paneling on my first one. unfortunately i did not have a lot of help concerning how to go about fixing the paneling or any advise in what i should do, but i truly enjoyed my experience with it so i got another one. but this one has a dead pixel that came with it and i know ther warranty is only vaild with three dead pixels. which is kind of disappointing a little but overall this is a great product.

Impressive monitor, some scenes look ugly on it...
on the positive side: i think there is nothing like really like this. i feels so great to work on this spacious, wide curved monitor. the strong curve really makes it immersive. however, the grey uniformity issue on mine really hurts it, sadly :(. if there's any picture on the monitor that is slightly light grey or light blue you can really see a bunch of darker spots. it looks like there's some dirty finger prints on the monitor - despite the screen being spotless on the outside. this can be distracting in some games as the dark spots stay still while the scene moves beneath them which draws my attention.

    Worst warranty service
monitor didn't last 7 months. green line of dead pixels and blue line of dead pixels. poor quality control. talking to someone on the phone is awful. getting a written response would be easier by far, except it is non existent. won't be buying samsung again.

    great potential but QC issues
it has been a great monitor until it started exhibiting a red stuck pixel closer to the middle of the screen and another dead pixel on the left bottom corner of the screen. the corner dead pixel doesn't concern me much but the read stuck pixel does as it's in the field of view. there is a dead/struck pixel in the right-center of the screen which shows up as a red dot on a black background color when on display. this is in the center of the screen and very visible. any fix from samsung support to fix this would be great.

Multiple various issues vs. amazing features
There is no other monitor like it on the market. However. it has numerous issues. For me, the issue is related to running it at is full potential. A 3090 FTW3 running it at 240hz causes small horizontal scan lines. They are almost undetectable, but they are there. It gave me major headaches until I discovered them. Samsung told me they can not guarantee this issues wont occur on another monitor. I ordered a replacement monitor and it has the exact same issue.
