Poor quality for price
Smartthings setup didn't work. Didn't automatically detect devices. Arrived defective with dead dimming zones. Ambient mode is a joke. Jitter issues. Screen randomly goes blank.

    Not the best
i want to love this tv, i have samsung tvs through the house. 5 total. i bought this with high hopes. i bought it in spring of 2021. in less than a year of owning i've had multiple cases in which samsung had to do a repair or online fix. so much time and money wasted in this problem. i've switched internet companies bought new modem and router, taken time off work to meet repair man. all to determine it is the tv. so far samsung has replaced motherboard, wi-fi antenna, etc. the wi-fi still goes in and out. i gave up. i am using a fire stick instead, no more wi-fi issues. i would only accept a new tv replacement at this point. i don't think i'll buy another samsung tv.

Great for the first 8 months…BUT
we have the 75q800t and the tv has flawless color, details, appearance. but, the tv is unable to support certain apps. since nov 2021, we tried to fix the issue - reset tv, reset smart hub, reinstall apps, update software, unplug tv, contact samsung support, and finally a remote rep conducted service on the tv. the remote rep concluded that the tv requires repair and the tv is not compatible with certain apps. although the tv looks nice, it is useless and severely disappointing. i strongly advise to research before you buy - some apps do not work on certain models. but we never would have guess that an expensive smart tv by samsung would not work with certain apps.

Was great for half a year - less than great after.
bought this back in february and, aside from them putting ads in the menu bar of the tv i paid for, everything had been great.. until the past month or so. for some reason now when i turn the tv on it doesn't always reconnect to my samsung soundbar automatically & i have manually switch it back over to soundbar & then soundbar + tv speakers. a little irritating since it worked fine for months prior. the real issue is what's happened to the picture. for the past few weeks now, whenever there are bright/ light colors on the screen (most notably grays & whites), those areas have a little grid of darker squares throughout them - like someone put the screen in a waffle iron. this affects the entire screen. maybe i could understand after a couple years of use, but this is after 7 months!

    TV is great..except..
tv produces brights and color quite nicely. al around it good. last few months it's developed a problem. 1. the screen is real hot. - turn down the brightness helps with this. 2. the screen produces a whine, which is dependent on the white/brightness levels. turn the brightness down and the whine reduces. but during daytime hours the brightness level effect the ability to view the tv. (very dim). online some folks are reporting this, but misdiagnosing it as a sound circuit issue, and it's not. nice tv, but the heat and most the whine is unbearable.

    Q800T(75) with PS5
on december 6 with latest updates (samsung 1403, ps5 20.02-2.26…). finally, being able to play in 120 frames per second in 3840x2160/120p. the procedure i found is a manual one. once your setup is running perfectly in 4k 60 fps you must change your ps5 setting into app settings to performance mode. you must also change the video output 4k transfer rate to -1, this will lower the colour to yuv422 and to 1920x1080/120p resolution. game like call of duty must also be updated graphic settings to 120 hz refresh rate. once the game is started, just change back your ps5 video 4k transfer rates back to automatic. this will bring back your resolution to 3840x2160/120p. have fun!

Great option for next gen tv
The tv is really awesome. East to get up and running and looks great. Great price point to get 8k without going towards flagship models. Only draw back is if you watch cable, you will absolutely notice that they dont even broadcast in 4K much less 8K. The upscale tries its best but broadcasting feeds need to catch up to the tech. Ps5 looks spectacular on it.

4K/120Hz Not Working with XBOX Series X
purchased the 75" q800t several weeks ago in anticipation of xbox series x. very disappointed when connecting the xbox that the 120hz would not work at 4k resolution with or without vrr enabled and with or without game mode. applied new 1403 patch and the problem went from intermittent flashing in 4k/120hz to black screen. cable is 2.1 capable and passes both samsung cable test as well as cable test on denon 4700h receiver. xbox is connected directly to samsung tv port 4, though, and does not pass through receiver in any way. i hope this issue gets resolved by samsung in a future firmware update.
