Volume was far too low. From 6 ft away only stared hearing the TV audio at half volume and at full volume a small ran drowned out the TV audio. Also the TV would not tune in any channel's. . I was highly displeased. The DVD worked well but audio was still a problem. (Could barely hear audio at max level.

    Great Great TV
    Perfect size and features for our camper. The speakers are very lacking so I used the headphone jack and an adapter cord and ran the sound to the camper speakers. Sound is fantastic. Picture quality fantastic. DVD player is great too, in case there are no cable hookups or digital signals available. My final assessment is five stars. *****

    Sound is horrible
    My gosh the sound is absolutely horrible! I bought this for my room to watch DVDs on, and I can hardly stand how awful the sound is. I have to turn the volume up to 90 just to hear it! The sound is low and it echoes. I'm about to plug my old Insignia back in despite it not working sometimes. I'll probably try to sell this TV to someone else who isn't picky about sound.

    Sad to say, I purchased one of these and it would not power up. I returned it for a replacement, which powered up just fine, I put a DVD in and it ate it. "No DVD", wouldn't give it back. Too late to return it by now *sigh*. Oh well, can live without the DVD... until it tipped over one day while I was out, and the screen blew up. Now it's art, untill I get it out to the curb, when it will be trash. So disappointed. I have other TVs from this brand that have been great. This was supposed to be the best of 'em. :(

    Low Sound and DVD Stopped Working after 2nd use...
    We bought this as a travel TV as it had a built in DVD Player. Wasn't expecting much with this brand or the price, but certainly would be nice to have a volume level that could be heard and a DVD player that operated properly. Sound level was too low and the DVD player did not work after the second disc was played. Picture was good if that matters on something that you can't hear or watch movies... Would not recommend this product.

    Nice tv,, but low volume......
    The volume was ok for regular tv but when you play the dvd's ,, the sound is too low... I bought some small external speakers from Target and it seems to have solved the problem...

    Center stand, great picture, poor sound, real USB
    Yes the sound is bad - need to turn it up to 75-100 in my small office, and it's very tinny. But, I added some $8 USB powered 3" speakers that also plugged into the 3.5 headphone jack and was able to turn the tv volume down to 27 with much better sound. It's great to have a real USB port - many tv's don't or it's only for software updates so doesn't really function. In addition to working as a power port it also functions for thumb drives - your photo's, etc. I think the picture on this tv is great. Contrary to another review, my tv does display at 1080. The DVD inserts and ejects smoothly and plays seamlessly. The most important feature to me was the center stand vs. legs on either end. I needed to put the 24" tv on a 15" stand so this was basically my only tv option, but I am not disappointed with it so far. I wish it had more than 1 HDMI por. The VGI printer port is nice to have. It basically has 1 of everything - no more, no less!

    DVD player barely works.
    so the video quality on it is great. but the DVD player on it sucks. it won't play any Disney DVDs at all. Ive put brand new DVDs in it and it starts jumping and skipping like the DVD is scratched when it's brand new. sound quality is not good either.

    I thought this would be a great addition to my camper however the volume doesn't work. I have had it all the way up to 100 and still barely can hear it. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone!!! The DVD's area also chooses when it wants to work for movies.

    Good picture, horrible sound
    Ok for the price, but the soundness terrible!! We bought this tv/DVD combo to use in our camper bedroom. Even after adding a Bluetooth speaker via auxiliary cord the sound still has a lot of static. It's just a little bit better than having nothing at all :-(
