Great Buy...and I searched the web
This is a great value for your money. It is sturdy construction. Really nice modern handles. My husband is a contractor, so maybe he had some advantage to putting it together - but he got it done in less then 1 hr. taking his time along the way. Well worth it. There is a lot of room to fit CD's, many DVD's, and even those old VHS tapes if you have some hanging around.

Buliding disaster
This is the worst thing to put together! the doors wont stay closed and there are no pre drilled holes for the locking mechanism and the lock only locks one side and they give you a crappy plastic peice to lock the other side by hand and you have to reach in to the other side to do and you cant if you have dvds there! the screws holes for the handles are covered by the wall of the door so they cant be put in straight. It came all scratched up and got worse as we put it together the paint chipped off the side This has been the worst furniture to put together definitely not work 150 dollars!! Only worth maybe 50!

    Broken key
    Only had it a couple months and it's working. Only issue is the key broke off in the lock. I got it out but now I'm out a key as I only had one to begin with. Definitely now a bother as I can't get it open nor get a new key.

    Usless Shelves.
    Besides the Lock on the cabniet to keep the kids out of the DVD's this cabniet has a lot of useless space. The Whole Top shelve doesnt have enough room for your DVD and the door Top shelf doesnt even adjust. So you basically get 3 rolls for DVD where you should get 4 rolls. Highly disappointed!

    We actually ordered two. One did not come with instructions, luckily the other did. My husband cursed a lot trying to put this together. He said it was overly difficult, and some parts were very cheaply made, including the lock. For the price, I don't think it was worth it. Maybe if it was 50.00. Also, I suppose bc it ships from Canada there is a lot of room for abuse, it was scratched and I will have to fix that too.

    Great storage, misleading at times.
    When I saw this cabinet with a locking system to it, I was thrilled because I've had my movies all stolen in the past. Now, if they want my movies...they'll have to take the entire unit! This unit was very easy to put together. I did have some difficulty with one of the screws for the locking piece (the screw stripped almost immediately), but after some jimmy-rigging, I was able to salvage it. The locking lever for the non-key locking door is a little temperamental, but I'm generally able to put it into lock position. Two pieces of contention with this unit. First, while I get the "security divider" being there as a weight bearer and to fill the gap between the doors, its presence makes it difficult to get any movies from behind that divider. My other problem with this unit and probably the most disappointing is that if you're storing a mix of DVD and Bluray, you wind up with these odd shelves that would only realistically hold a small book or CD case, laying down. You essentially lose a little storage room with this odd shelf. The fixed shelf is placed for a DVD (7 pegs down) and if you do the same thing (7 pegs in between), you end up with 3 or 4 odd man out pegs and the weird shelf. Overall, I'm happy with the unit and have plans to purchase a second one in the near future for my future media storage needs.
