Great Product with Home Delivery Warning
This works very well for our purposes. We have a 225' two-lane, concrete corrugated drive with a 10 degree slope of 185'. Gardens line a good portion of it, and our cats roam outside. We've never had a problem with the gardens or cats. Over the last five years we've used close to 60 bags. We've not had problems with the concrete, but we use the minimal possible and avoid applying until we've cleared snow down to a quarter inch or less. It works quickly on ice, but it takes a bit longer on snow (but I guess that's why it's called ice-melt and not snow-melt). The real downside to this is if you order large quantities like we do (last order was 20 bags) and have it delivered. Because it normally comes on a pallet, the loading and jostling of the pallet causes its nails to often pierce and rip the bags. SO, if you do have it delivered be prepared to tape bags and clean up the spilled ice melt. We had small buckets with lids ready because we've gone through this before. This allows you to sweep up the ice melt and store it easily.

Very poor shipping and damaged product
Took a very long time to ship and when it finally arrived it was damaged. It had tape all over the bag and was about 10lbs light. I'm very disappointed that they sent me a damaged product. The product itself is great. It's to bad that it was handled as poorly as it was.

    I haven't used it yet but
    It came to me just like this a little in the box and some lost somewhere else before it got to me. It's like someone opened and poured a little for themselves and shipped this. The top was loose as well.

    An excellent ice melter
    I have used this for 3 years. It is very effective down to 15 degrees. Also it doesn't do any damage to concrete

    Used this in a blizzard after cleaning my deck for our dog to get to the yard. It has stayed clear even after single digits and negative wind chills as well as snow. Highly recommend this produce. Need to get more for sure!

    Bucket Broke Open
    The whole side of the bucket busted open, luckily it was in a plastic bag, in the box so it wasn't an awful mess to clean but still disappointed.

    Please change the lid
    for storage purposes I felt this size bucket was perfect for storage in my house. In all the years I have owned the house, this is the first time I decided to use the pellets. What I did not like is the the lack of instructions on opening the lid and when i figured it out it was difficult to open.I think an easy open lid would work just as well with a clip type clamp. 80 year olds have enough problems opening things.

    Snow Joe Melt, is your new best friend.
    It's the best snow melt I have ever bought. It does everything it states it can, like it's safe for people, pets and the environmen and it comes in a plastic resealable bag. And the stuff keeps working on the sidewalk / driveway / wooden porch deck to keep those areas clean and clear for days after the original snow fall and from icing up again. And it's green, so you can see where you put it.
