Great picture
This is a great looking TV. The picture is flawless. I have external audio, for now its connected by optical, but the built in sound of the TV is not bad, it's much better than most. My only complaint, which is an artifact of my audio system being way out of date (circa 2007), is if I connect HDMI out of my receiver into the TV, it will not let me select the optical, nor will it pass bit stream to it (stereo PCM only). So I just don't connect the AVR output to the TV. The optical supports Dolby and DTS, so I never need to downgrade to stereo when 5.1 audio is available. My 4K Blu-ray has an HDMI to the TV and one for the AVR, and everything else uses the built-in Android TV. Casting to the TV works really well. I also love that I can link it to my Google account so I'm not having to scroll type usernames and passwords, though I was successful in pairing a Bluetooth keyboard to it which also works pretty well. And the voice control for searches works pretty well, but I haven't really used that as much.
I also love that if I switch out of YoutubeTV, for example, casting Spotify to it, I can exit from Spotify right back to where I left off on YouTubeTV. I think this is really an Android TV feature, but clearly the thing has enough memory that it can save state. It also buffers better, like if I navigate past a commercial, the program picks back up right away, not like the dongles that start re-buffering again. That, again, might be an Android TV thing, as I have a Tivo Stream 4K dongle that is also quick. The two Roku's I have are painful by comparison.
Black levels are excellent, as one would expect from OLED, but there's black, and then there's the multitude of dark shades above black that are rendered flawlessly. Contouring is non-existent in even the darkest scenes. Now, on the other TV's in the house, that's all I see.
During the day, the TV is plenty bright for normal viewing (the photo doesn't do it justice), and at night, watching a program with HDR, the range really comes out. I remember a scene in Peaky Blinders with a kind of dark indoor setting with a small window where it was daylight outside that really got my attention. It just looked so natural, like you're in the room. That reminds me, I've got to check out that dark episode of GoT and see how it renders on this!
Bottom line, if you care about picture quality, you won't be disappointed by this TV. Next year when the 75" becomes available, this one can upgrade the 10 year old bedroom TV. I can hardly look at it now after seeing this. That's the plan anyway.

Not as good and easy to operate as my 65A8F
The operation system on the 65A8F it's better and this was supposed to be a newer model very difficult to hook up a subwoofer and get sound from the TV speaker and the subwoofer at the same time Like I do with my A8F looks like they took a step back from the better operation menu

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/18/2021Best TV I've ever ownedThis TV has the most impressive panel on the market IMO and the picture out-of-box is unparalleled by any other I've ever seen. I upgraded from my Sony KDL-48 LCD (still a great TV; nothing wrong with it!) and what an improvement that was! I couldn't be happier with my purchase and it's an added benefit that this smart TV integrates "Google TV" within it so I don't have to use the plug-in product anymore!somathkid

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/25/2020Remarkable accuracy out of the boxBought this as a Christmas present to myself. It replaced a 10+ year old Bravia that would not die. Based on the quality of that set we decided on the A8H. I had been using an Apple TV 4K box but wanted to give the built-in Android a try. Set up was simple and the picture quality out of the box is amazing. Build quality seems solid and I hope to have this one for the next 10 years.Vannter

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/24/2020Great ChoseAfter experiencing the Samsung SmartTV purchased in 2011, I decided to go back to Sony which I have been missing since the clarity of picture, the OK Google feature and much more, OLED is amazing at least for 2020 and more. I love the purchase, thank you.Bxkit
