Great buy
Works well! I got this for work because my office is in an ATT deadzone. I just need enough service to send and revieve texts. No issues. I do think this would be very expensive if you needed to use more data (videos, etc.) But as far as finctionality, A

Its not worth wasting your time on it its a big money pit you brst have a few hundred to keep this thing up and going the 25 dollar plan lasted my laptop for just a few days i got talked into this thing from a man that works at our local Wal-Mart here in jasper Alabama when i had gone to look at all the internet setups they had a lady that works there tlod me that i could let my T Mobile home internet go that they have a good one thatd do the same for less a month i go and talk to a man in the phone department he told me that they had home internet that work anywhere i was take it with me he said he showd me a few pics on his computer screen that looked like they'd work good but then he look at they was out of it so i told him that if he can order one ill pay for it . he stard talking about one of the worse things ever for home internet this little Hotspot box but im not that smart on this so i told him that i just need away to get internet at my home and i can do my work i do on the net . he told me they were out of it also, but i could order it all on my app from home he said hed write it all down and what i need to get my internet needs met i got a home internet card for 50 like he said it came to my email and i order this crappie Hotspot box thinking he knows what he was saying. well when they got it sent to my home looked ok but when i tried to put the pin from the card he said i need it would not work i called Wal-Mart they said to call straight talk i did they said that Wal-Mart needs to fix this so it had started going on and on till i told straight talk to forget it just let me pay or whatever i need to to get the right thing they did the 25 plan i lost that 50 because they dont give no refunds on them well it worked but like a fews days and i need it a new pin and more money i just had one laptop on it but it keep eating up the data like crazy . i could have just paid my T Mobile and still have my internet. and lots more money in my pocket. i lost work i lost money just trying to keep this thing up and going . i have been a Wal-Mart plus member for a long time and was happy till i got took for way to much money on this one when the man could have just tlod me to get a home wifi box and not just try to sale off crap like this i dropped my Wal-Mart plus for the first time i used it every month but i have decided that if Wal-Mart is going let their employees scam the customers out of this much money im not going to give them my money every month no more when i can order the same stuff from Amazon and know they will work with me if they make a mistake like this but Wal-Mart i dont think makes them mistakes theyhave resons to scam us and you know they dont care about one customer one not going hurt them to lose they luff at that and say ok dont come back . well if enough of us do it they have to close the doors for good and if they going take our money like we don't matter. but this thing you have to claim a tree to get a good signal.

Avoid this and look into other hotspot devices.
Not the best device for Internet. I would avoid this and look into other hotspot devices, or purchase Internet from a service provider. This device hasn't been great for me. Often times the internet is slow to where I can barely watch a YouTube video without it loading going to even Google to search has been really slow. Right now I just added 50 dollars and it's saying no internet. I have a straight talk phone and it has internet. But I need it for my laptop and it's frustrating that it's junk. You don't get 5G internet either, you only get 4G. I don't want other people to have the same issue as me. I would look into Cricket or Boost Mobile hotspot. Their phone service is great but not the mobile hotspot. I regret ever getting this because it's been nothing but a headache and it's stolen my money with internet I can't even use.

    Hotspot for Security Camera A
I put this at an empty house w/o WiFi/power is on, just no internet. It works fine for a security camera. Now I'm home, 1/2 hour away and I can see it's safe and sound. Keep in mind you have to go in to settings and make sure it's not always "on" b/c it'll drain your data. Depending on your camera you don't want a wireless always on either it'd drain your battery. If you're careful and you know what you're doing,,,I'm no expert but I have other cameras/just not away from home and router (internet) it can be done. 30 day $15 data card 2GB ePIN I think will get me through the month w/data to spare. For this kinda money I can't complain but I'm only day one in to it. Stand by for further.

This particular hot spot doesn't even work in the Tennessee Valley… why would anyone want it… $50 down the toilet because they won't take back electronics. Avoid the Straight Talk anything In Tennessee

    Not worth the value
Most other hotspots were out of stock or the cards to them were out of stock, so this was the only one I had the option to buy in a pinch. 4 gigs for $50 when another hotspot had 100 gigs for $50 but they were out of stock on that one and I was arriving from international waters and needed internet. Rip off

    Absolutely Ridiculous customer service!
Received my mobile hotspot shipped directly to my house. After attempting to activate the device my account was locked down. Customer service said they didn't scan the item correctly and it couldn't be activated until I do a whole process to prove I bought it. This is ridiculous being as I ordered it from Walmart.com! The straight talk rep ended the conversation after giving me a mile long list of what I have to send in and the. Wait up to 48 hours for a response. Pathetic customer service!!!!

Poor product and customer services isn't much help
Was easy to setup, but when it tells you it can't connect it's because you have already used all your data.I pay $25 every month to reload ,it is in our motorhome that we use about 1 time a month. It is not plugged in and not connected but every time I go to use it it they say I have run out.Last weekend we went on a trip same so I called put on $50 for 10g and used it for one hour that night, next day same said it wouldn't connect. So I'm assuming I must be out of data again.Way to much money for something you can barely use.Why don't they charge 1 fee for unlimited like the cell phones with a monthly fee.

DO NOT BUY! Run and get any other provider, but this one. Bought it with delivery from Walmart (with covid, I have been having everything delivered since the beginning of the pandemic). Turns out whoever did the checkout did not scan the stupid box properly and the device now cannot be activated. I called them to ask why and to resolve it. Because box was not "properly scanned" device cannot be activated and in order for Tracfone to activate it, they need a whole lot of info, including my shoe size or so it seems, and of course the copy or photo of the barcode on the box, which I already threw away. SO MUCH work and trouble to activate a stupid little device for which I can already provide proof of purchase!!!! Device may be one of the best hotspots ever, but with so much grief to even get it to work, I would say it is definitely not worth the trouble.

I purchased this hotspot and a $50 data card. I was able to set it up and get online. However....my data was used up within hours. All I used was my phone to access the internet for an hour and then shut it off. Checked my data the next morning and was almost out. $50 for a few hours is terrible!!
