Bath Seat: Better Than an Extra Pair of Hands!
The Summer Infant Bath Seat is such a lifesaver! Bath time is so much easier when you no longer have to hold the baby up with your left hand and wash only with your right. Before babies are old enough and strong enough to sit upright, bathing them can be a chore for their mothers. For us Gigi’s, it is both a chore, and sometimes a challenge. My six-month-old grand came in the extra-squirmy variety, and I always worried that my grip strength wasn’t up to controlling a wiggly linebacker-in-training. Bath time with this bath seat is like night and day. It’s quite like have a water-proof car seat to bathe your baby in. Both hands are free for shampooing and scrubbing, and while all that hard work is going on, the baby is free to kick and splash to his heart’s content. When we first used it, it tickled me to watch him look for his legs and feet under the bubble bath. Object permanence is a skill that comes a little farther down the road and watching his expression as he tried to understand why he could feel his feet and move his feet, but not see them, was a hoot! For me, this bath seat is more than a blessing, and I bet you’ll think so, too.

13 month old is too big for the seat. Complex set
The directions are disappointing and the cups didn't stay stuck very well to my sloped back tub. My son isn't exceptionally big for his age, however, we found that the bath was more work than what it is worth. We have started just letting him sit in the bath on his own now. This may be more useful for very very small children who need help setting up. But at one year, this is obselete for our family. It is large and takes up a lot of space in the tub. Since this is also our nanny's bathroom, leaving the seat connected in there is not practical and neither is pulling the seat in and out everyday for bath time

    Cute idea but suction issues
We received this product as part of Walmart's Spark Reviewer program and had mixed feelings about it. It is a product that is meant to help an infant that has already reached the point where it can sit, be able to sit in the bath without being held by the adult thus freeing the adult's hand for washing the infant etc. It has a series of suction cups on the back, sides, and bottom of it to secure it to the bathtub. The back suction cup is meant to suction to the back of the tub, the 2 side suction cups are to be secured to the sides of the tub, and the bottom suction cups are meant to suction to the tub floor. The side and rear suction cups are further secured by twisting poles that extend to push the suction cups strongly against the walls and rear of the tub. My issue with the product is when I suctioned and tightened the side suction cups and rear suction cup to the tub the unit was now suspended in the air above the tub and the bottom suction cups would no longer reach the tub floor. Think of the phenomenon of a big crane truck that puts out those metal things called outriggers to stabilize it which causes the wheels to raise off the ground a bit, that is what happened here with this infant bath seat with the bottom of it being suspended. No matter what I tried, I could not get it to stay secured both downwards to the tub floor and also on the sides and rear. It was either the rear and side suctions or the bottom but not both (see picture of suspended seat when secured on the sides and rear). It could be my tub was the issue (though this is unlikely since it is a standard tub) or maybe I was not doing it right but that was my experience. It is lightweight and can easily be taken off and on the bathtub which is always nice and the twisting poles collapse into the seat when not in use so it is more compact for storage. Also the suction cups come with caps that you are supposed to put on when the seat is not in use. Overall, we were mostly satisfied with this product other that the suctioning system. We were not convinced that it was very well designed and are somewhat apprehensive to be using it for our baby.

Super helpful for parents and baby!
I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately, our son did not fit in the seat due to his long legs and torso! I did receive approval, however, to write a review based on the seat itself and various features despite not being able to test it with our baby. First, these types of seats are hard to find! We searched for the old fashioned bath tub seat ring and had no luck. This seat is definitely more sturdy and gives me more confidence that the older models. This seat is invaluable when going through the awkward stage of your child learning to sit up in a regular bath tub, yet being too large for the traditional baby tub. It sits securely in most standard tubs with extra large suction cups on each side and the rear. There are also suction cups on the very bottom. Installation was super easy. In fact, I didn't even need the instructions. Very self-explanatory.

Such a Cute and Useful Bath Idea!
I have 4 children and am expecting my 5th child in a few months. I have always used the typical bath seats and even purchased the $100 bath tubs, which I was definitely not impressed with. I opened this up and briefly set it up in the bath tub so that I could see how it works for our upcoming baby and this is literally such a cute idea! I will need to use a basic bath tub for when my child is a newborn, but once there is some back support available for my little one this is going to be absolutely perfect! This is so creative and such an amazing invention, I wish I would have had this with my previous children when they were younger. The design is sturdy and connects very well to your bath no matter how big or small the space is. It reminds me of a baby gate and how it securely attaches to the sides of your wall for maximum safety. The seat is well designed and is not uncomfortable for your little one. I especially love this because it gives your baby that independence they are curious for during this stage of their infant lives. I can see this being of good use from ages 3 months to 1.5+ years (in my opinion).

    sturdy
This seat is very supportive for your baby. This seat gives you security that baby is very safe in tub. not that you want to leave baby alone. the installation however tricky and im not sure for our daily life. as a full time mom time is ver important. it take a couple of min to set it up and then after bath i have to take it down. overall this is a good seat but not right for our family.

    Needs better suction cups
This is overall a great little bath seat! The only thing that needs to be changed is the suction cups. They stick well but not for very long. Granddaughter loves it because now she can take a bath with her 3yr old sister and they can play with tub toys! The suction cups seal good but don't last long & often have to be "re sealed" to the tub. Once I got the side arms to the right length, I leave them there instead of moving them back in each time. Overall, I'd give this bath seat 5 star review!

    Makes bath time easy !
This infant bath seat is such a great investment. It makes giving your infant a bath a lot easier. The chair as three pieces that adjust to tighten to the sides of your tub so the chair is secured. The seat allows me to have both hands free to play with my nephew and bath him, whereas before I’d have to hold him and not have both my hands free you play with toys with him. I think many parents will enjoy this bath seat. The one I have is white and a pretty teal color.
