Love them
I used these counters with an author study that we are doing from the author Barbara McGrath , books titled Teddy Bear Counting and Teddy Bear Patterns. They are very versatile, for counting, patterns and doing different sorts by size and color.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/18/2020Valuable Learning ToolsAs a former kindergarten teacher, I can attest to how much these little bears can be used for all kinds of learning activities. Since children tend to be tactile learners when they are young---and some people learn best when being "hands on" all their lives---having objects to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide is crucial to early learning. Using objects should always come before learning symbols (numerals are symbols and require abstract thinking; children can memorize numbers without really grasping what they stand for). I also used these to teach colors, patterns, sizes, sorting, and story problems. Children love the bear family and enjoy playing with them and making up stories and adventures for them. I highly recommend these!GregsGirl

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/16/2012Versatile product!Used primarily for maths based learning, however we also use them for storytelling (Goldilocks). There are enough of them that all the children can play together. My only criticism is that they are a bit small so tend to get 'lost' - this is the second time we have replaced them, but at least it proves they are popular!Carrots

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/26/2009These little bears are great!Such a simple thing - little plastic bears. But these little gems helped so much in teaching my children to count and became a staple element in our home classroom. They're friendly and colorful, and their simplicity allows them to be used in a variety of imaginative ways. The kids love them!Zanna
