BEWARE OF THIRD PARTY SALES
Ordered this phone for my young daughter ... when I received the phone everything seemed fine however once I called in to activate the Lg total wireless journey smart phone I was told it COULD NOT be activated because it wasn't in the system as purchased and that the seller didn't process the phone correctly somewhere down the line before shipping it out to me .... so long story short the phone is worthless and they couldn't help me with activation. I decided to go into my local Walmart and of course my only option there was to send the phone back to the seller and see if they MIGHT be able to fix the issue or refund my money which could take weeks . Defeats the purpose of why I got the phone in the first place because it was needed right away !! My advice would be stay away from third party sales when it come to devices of any kind . Make sure your purchase is sold and shipped by Walmart so if there are issues you could get some sorta help or refund on the spot at your local Walmart .

    Phone is fine.
    The phone is simple and works fine for my son's first phone. I was irritated though to find out that adding a line to my existing plan forfeits any amount of money I had already paid for the month and that I had to pay the full price of a new monthly service. We had a two-line plan and had renewed five days before adding my son's line. By adding a line we were charged the full amount for a three-line plan without any of the previous month's amount counting toward it. I basically paid for 5 lines for the first month. This should be clearer for customers.

    Do not buy
    Bad experience. Although it shipped very fast. It was a refurbished phone because it had a yellow sticker on the box, had to bring it to the store, they can't activate refurbished phones at all; in store or online. Returned it. Very disappointing.

    Great phone
    I put off replacing my old phone because I didnt feel like dealing with learning about a new phone. My other phone was LG Rebel with android so switching to this LG Journey was pretty seamless. It is a huge improvement from my other phone and I wish I had switched to this phone months ago. Total Wireless tech support provided great help along the way.

    Screen doesn't always respond
    Overall great phone, has specs I was looking for, works well...except that often the screen will stay dark, even when a set alarm is going off, so you can't dismiss the alarm without using the phone's physical buttons to pull up the screen (automatically snoozing the alarm). I have also found the screen not responding to the double-tap-to-turn-on at times, it is not just the alarm. Minor inconvenience, I will be keeping the phone, but others might find it too big a pet peeve for a brand-new phone.
