Very satisfied
I love my new trash can. It allows me to fill up the whole bag with trash before taking it out of the can. my old one I had to pull up and out and continue to fill. It locks the bag on. The top stays up so if I'm peeling something it stays open, hands free. I really am very happy I got this and I love the color!

Doesn't last Long
Only had this trash can for a couple of months and the top completely broke off and now won't stay on top of the trash can , was hoping after spending 50$ on a trash can it would of lasted at least a year . And it doesn't give me the option for a return so def not very happy

    No trash bags fit it; doesn't stay in place
    It's a decent looking trash can but I can't find any trash bags that fit it. The opening is way too big. I have to stretch the bag over the ring which is supposed to hold the bag down and even then it only goes about 90% around, and the bag is always hanging in space so there's a lot of pressure on the bag. It's like the van is made for 1.5x the volume of a normal trash bag. The can also doesn't stay in place since it's so narrow at the base. When you step on the foot pedal it scoots backwards. Overall way too expensive and pretty useless.

    Cheap, Non-working lid
    This Umbra trashcan with a step-to-open lid looked like a nice compliment to our kitchen color scheme, and we needed a new one. Place a trash bag in is easy, and it has the inner lid that keep it in place, which is good. The big problem is that the lid will NOT open all the way, nor will it stay open. This is quite aggravting when I'm working in the kitchen and need it open for a period of time. Instead, I must open the lid EVERY single time I want to throw an item away. It appears that it does have an extra slot for the lid to open fully, and possibly stay propped open, BUT, I cannot get the lid to open that far, the hinge part of the lid will NOT move to the 2nd slot. It seems this may be a malfunction, but it more so seems like it's made of a cheaper, flimsier plastic. One picture is showing the max opening of the lid at a 45-60° angle. That is as far as the lid will open when stepping on foot pedal, or opening the lid by hand. The lid should open to a 90° angle, and be able to stay open, locked in place. The 2nd picture is to show the lid hinge, and the extra slot that it will not move into.

    I did a lot of research on trash cans for the kitchen before my purchase I'm so happy with my final decision. Looks modern without taking up too much space. The trash bag fits nicely inside to give it a clean polished finish and is easy to install. I strongly recommend going to a brick and mortar location to purchase this can. Some reviews state they close to slow or slam shut abruptly. I test drove (pedal to the metal) hahaha a few cans on the shelf before I found one that met my liking as far as closing goes. This is a must have trash can.

    13 Gallon Silver Trash Can Best Ever
    can't be beat! Is a must in your kitchen. Is so elegant (silver color) matches with stainless steel appliances. It closes slowly (extra awesome) instead of slapping down. the garbage bag goes under the rim (nice touch) easy in and out An outstanding value!!!

    Modern Trash Bin
    Nice, clean and modern appearance. I just learned the trash bag should be placed under the rim not over. I have the silver/gray trash bin and it blends well with stainless steel appliances.

    I was looking for a lidded trash can and came across this Umbra Brim 13 gallon Kitchen trash can. I have a few other Umbra products that I have had over a year which are very durable and I really like. So, I felt confident buying this trash can. It was delivered in great condition. The design is really nice.. The color looks modern. The foot pedal works great. I'm very happy with my purchase. This trash can uses 13 gallon bags. I use the Great Value brand Strong Flex, fresh cotton scented bags. They fit perfectly into this can. The design of the can holds the top of the bag tightly opened and there is a ring that clicks down over the bag edge. I have no bag slippage and I am able to completely fill the bag. Step onto the foot pedal to open the lid and toss the trash in.
