Great tool!
This soldering gun was able to solder the largest of wires and instantaneously. My old soldering iron burnt out. Now I'm glad it did!! I consider this one of my best tools!

    Bad Gun
    Poor quality from a well know company. The lights did not work. I had to take the gun apart and found that the bulbs were not tight. While trying to tight them one broke. I had to find new bulbs that worked. Now they are loose again. This gun is a piece of junk.

    Works As expected
    Got hot quick and stayed hot. Solders 12 ga aluminum stranded wire to an electric motor no sweat, something my 100watt gun wouldnt do.

    Terrible case with nice tool
    The tool is nice, heavy, and quick heat up. But the case is terrible because the top cover of the case is not sturdy at all, very thin plastic film like the plastic package. I like the tool, but I almost return it because the case.

    Weller is not well
    The red trigger switch is a piece of junk- Where's the 'detent'? Why does this Journeyman Electronics Repairman have to "hunt" for the correct power on position and often failing while the tip gets cold again? Weller should be ashamed to put their name on this frustrating tool. Refund PLEASE!!!

    Somewhat satisfied sadly what I've come to expect
    Is definately poorer quality than one I bought in the 70s insides rattle around a lot made in mexico. Haven't used it much yet but seems to work ok

    Old timer
    Very disappointed in this solder gun .big and heavy but takes forever to heat back to a simple torch . Trigger pressure is very heavy . Should have known it's the same as 50yrs ago couldn't pull trigger then now I'm old man still can't pull trigger hahaha oh well probably last forever .

    Heavy duty Soldering Gun.
    This is the one soldering gun to buy. It is well built, heavy duty and has over twice the Watts as most of the others on the market. As with everything you can buy at Walmart this is the best price anywhere for the best soldering gun around. Thank you Walmart. Oh this is not made in China.
