Great little snow blower for the money
Got this snowblower a day late. The snow blower was double boxed, and arrived safe, shipping weight is about 138 lbs. Took me about an hour to put it together. Make sure you read the oil section in the engine manual before starting after you've added some oil, about a quart. First run I ran it through the yard as my driveway was bare. Ran just fine through 6-14 inches of drifted, packed, white snow, and performed better than I though it would. After priming the engine 2-3 times the engine starts first 1 or 2 pulls with choke on, and switch turned to ON. Yes I forget sometimes... Drive control is on left handle and impeller control is on right, backwards from my old snowblower. 2 reverse and 5 forward speeds.

NON Professional Delivery Status!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so very disappointed with the condition in how my shipment arrived . The box had holes, tears, and ripped open areas on it. Pieces of my snow blower were sticking out!!!! Not sure yet is anything is broken, missing, bent, etc. The box is not suitable for return shipment. I have NEVER seen such a delivery of any kind in this shape. !!!!!!!!

This Snowblower was bought to make my life easier but it has done the opposite. Two flat tires, all cables loosened up .I have tightened'n up three times and just about 10 minutes the gearbox started making noise and it came apart.I used the blower SIX times (6)'

I would recomend to a friend.
Even tho I bought the snow blower in Dec., I have not had the need to use because of the lack of snow fall. I can only say that I have no regrets. It was easy to assemble and is light enough to handle easily. It runs very nicely and expect it will do as it is to do.

    Happy with purchase!
Works better than expected! I am super happy with my choice. I was worried about delivery because a few posts said it came on a pallet, but delivery was easy. It came in one box and they delivered it to my driveway (which was covered in snow.). I didn't even have to be there. First day using it and I can't wait for it to snow again.

Ran great, need stronger wheel pins
So first use yesterday, fired up on first pull! Then cut through snow that was about 3 inches deeper than the front of the snow blower with football sized chucks of ice in it from what the snow plows scrapped off the road onto my sidewalk/driveway. Had to go slow at points, but it got the job done fairely easily. HOWEVER, the wheel lock pin on one wheel was flibsy, unlatched, and fell out a couple of times, and I wouldn't notice till I was on my way back. J7st glad I didn't pick it up with the snowblower and bury deep in my yard somewhere. I will probably just get some better pins.

    Great Value for the Money
I found this looking for a small simple two stage.snowblower online and didn't want to pay $500-$600 if possible. When I researched the Yardmax I found it to be a super value since it's ALL STEEL CONSTRUCTION & HAS LOCAL SERVICE AVAILABLE for 2 years. I got it exactly as Hayneedle described on time with No damage from FEDEX. Easy straightforward assembly with simple tools took a few hours. A few.minor things went wrong though. Drive cable was detached from inside and engine started poorly. After pulling the Air Cleaner I found it was simply soaked with oil and called for a replacement filter. Cable was easily attached also. Now it starts easily after 1 or 2 pulls and drive is excellent. No need for electric starter. This blower is super solid since I ran it for an hour with the auger & impeller running with no hint of vibration or unwanted noise. Chute is excellent with all metal design and easy to rotate crank handle. I know this will easily handle 30" of snow if it's soft since I've done it before with a simple single stage blower. Just push through the deep snow and let the top collapse on top of the blower and redo it again making sure Air filter is.not clogged from snow. All steel impeller insures that you don't break it in icy conditions ever. Controls work great and drive system does a good job forward and reverse. Easily compares to better machines at higher prices of $500. Tips: Engine won't prime: Take Air Cleaner apart and reroute Primer Hose to keep it from being pinched closed by air.cleaner. Engine runs rough and starts.poorly: Remove air cleaner element and see if it runs better. Air cleaner paper may be soaked with oil from factory making air intake poor. Cables won't tighten completely: Remove handle lever bolts and adjust turnbuckles a few turns and replace. #sweepstakes

    Great machine, moderate assembly difficulty
Assembly of the shoes on the outside of the machine was rocky because the orange housing was bent during manufacturing or shipping, eventually got it sorted out. I am a little disappointed on the distance the snow is thrown, maybe 3-4ft is all. It is a smaller machine (22in) so maybe I was expecting too much. That being said, it all I was doing was a small driveway and sidewalks... this is the perfect machine. 5 speed forward, 2 in reverse. Works as advertised. I've only had it for 3 days and haven't tested it after a big storm yet, so we'll change the review if needed.
