Good flavor
My sister is a pastry chef and insists on pure vanilla (as opposed to vanilla flavored extract) when baking. She has given me expensive bottles of vanilla in the past, and I have found this McCormick's vanilla to be very comparable to the the more expensive bottles. I think using pure vanilla adds more flavor than the extract. And so far, everything I have baked using this vanilla has received compliments. So I would recommend it!

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/21/2019Pure Gluten Free Vanilla ExtractI love that I can trust McCormick to have gluten-free vanilla. My husband has been diagnosed with celiac disease and it is essential that he stay away completely from gluten. However, it is the true flavor of vanilla that I like. Rice pudding is a recipe handed down from my mom. Without McCormick vanilla extract it tends to be a bit bland. Sometimes I even put a little more in it because it is so good.Tracey

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/21/2019The proof is in the pudding!I was asked to make caramel corn for a family event. I had some generic vanilla in my cupboard and decided to use it up. So the first batch of caramel corn was made with generic. vanilla. My second batch was made with a free sample of McCormick vanilla I received. I can tell you the difference was remarkable! Needless to say I ended up making a third batch with McCormick vanilla and my first batch stayed home! The difference in flavor was notable. The McCormick vanilla caramel corn was richer and much more flavorful than the generic! The generic vanilla caramel corn lacked flavor and was bland. Lesson learned...no more generic vanilla for us!lynne360

Make you recipes taste like the REAL thing! McCormick Pure Vanilla is really the only way to go if you want real flavor in your recipes.Marnekins

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/26/2015Great for bakingThe McCormick vanilla extract is my go-to for baking when it requires vanilla. It has worked for me every time. This ingredient adds the aroma of vanilla but it does not have sugar so you can add sweetness to your own preference. This small bottle lasted me a few baking sessions as most recipes only require teaspoon amounts. I always use this my cupcakes and cakes. It doesn’t smell any different than made with real vanilla bean. My friend used the vanilla beans to make crème brulee but I couldn’t tell the difference. It is preference for some people but this is convenience that makes it easy to bake. The ingredients for this bottle includes: vanilla bean extractives in water and alcohol (41%). So there are not unnecessary additives.BigKid913

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/04/2015Vanilla BeansI remember the McCormick brand from my childhood. My mother always used McCormick pure vanilla extract when she baked her cakes during the holidays or for birthday celebrations. She always told me that pure vanilla made from vanilla beans was the best taste for her baking. I never doubted it and used the very same McCormick pure vanilla extract in my homemade baking for my family. The handy flip top and the easy pour spout are very convenient. You will not spill a drop! There is a cookie recipe on the box that I intend to try very soon. The flavorful tips on the box are a delightful surprise as well. I will not spoil it by telling you the tips but they are on my "to do" list, too!alabamabutterfly55

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/03/2015Truly PURE vanilla!I've tried other less expensive brands of vanilla extract and always come back to McCormick as it is the only one that gives my dishes that necessary vanilla sweetness and boost. I l absolutely love adding this to my coffee with some cream in the morning after breakfast and it is fabulous. When the house is closed up in the heat of summer or the cold of winter I place a drop or two of this product on a COOL light bulb and then turn it on to scent the entire room of delicious vanilla. The way I see it, if I’m going to take the time and bake for the family I’m sure going to use the best, most delicious ingredients! I truly recommend this product and you can get it and other McCormick products for about two thirds the cost at Walmart!AdrianPB

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/01/2015Only REAL extract will do the jobMcCormick is the brand my grandmother and mother trusted. I am continuing that tradition with this 100% pure vanilla extract. I add this to my Half n Half to make that french vanilla flavored creamer that is so expensive to buy as brand name. Sometimes I add it straight to my coffee with a free hand dash. The flavor reminds me of being a kid again, mama making snow cream with this same extract. It imparts the comfort that only the scent of vanilla can add. I add a few drops to my oil warming diffuser with a little orange essential oil making the whole house smell like a dreamsicle. It is for so much more than just baking these days.CoffeeSquirrel
