Smashed olive oil top
The top of the olive oil was smushed over to the side. Concerning on when I have to straighten the top if it will crack and leave a mess. Box it came in was in perfect shape, so it happened before shipping. Sad.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/14/2022I LOVE it!I used to not like Olive Oil, but want to use it since it is healthier than other oils. I actually REALLY like this one. It has a mild flavor and is great to cook with or salad dressing or anything else I use oil for. The quality of this oil is much higher than other oils I have tried.Valerie

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/29/2021YuckyI've uses a lot of GV brand items oftentimes I prefer them to national name brands. this item was garbage. I like to infuse oil with garlic and seasonings and dip bread in it. This oil is not suitable for consumption as a standalone item and probably not something I would even add to a dish where the was so far from acceptable. Other GV products are good bit I will spend more on oil to never have to taste this again. Please don't think this is what olive oil tastes like.Andrew

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/04/2021CautionBeware, this current oil contains what tastes like rancid oil in at least part of its makeup. I bought it the end of Sept. 2021. Walmart says I bought it in January of this year, but I am not certain of that. If I did, it was not bad then. Some people may not notice a difference, but if you use a lot of olive oil like we do, this tastes very strange. My wife and I both noticed its strange flavor with only a tablespoon or two in a whole large skillet of sauteed vegetables. We did not like the flavor at all. Some Great Value items are fine, this is not one of them, or not all the time anyway.David

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/27/2021Very goodI have used a variety of olive oils and while there are some differences this is a good tasting oil with a pleasant aroma. It is good in salads, pasta, and for most cooking. Unless you are a perfectionist, when you do the cost/benefit ratio, this product will top most lists.Deen

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/26/2016Not for Soap.Every time I have used Great Value Olive Oils from Wal-mart, my soaps develop DOS (Dreaded Orange Spots) which are commonly found in soaps when the oils are old and begin to go rancid. I have tried it many times hoping that it was just a bad batch and every time it only takes 30 days. Sometimes only 14 days to develop the DOS. The soaps are discoloring before they are properly cured. I have tried lowering the superfat and tried with only 100% olive oil with no other oils or scents. I have tried gelled and ungelled. I have tried the same thing with oil from another source and only the Great Value Olive Oil causes this problem for me. The bottom line is that I really question the freshness of this oil. If it is causing this in soap, I can't imagine it would be any better for human consumption. I would pick another brand.1yoTwins

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/24/2016Great Flavor and Value!Lets face it Olive Oil is expensive but I have to say that the Great Value 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil is right up there in quality with the more expensive brands. It has a fantastic flavor and for the price you can't beat it. I would recommend Great Value to anyone, you won't be disappointed!MrSmokeyJoe

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/05/2014Pleasant SurpriseBest price anywhere ever. Taste meets expectation and is comparable to other brands that cost much more. This is my brand. Will definitely buy this product again. Already recommended it to friends/family. Remember: Olive Oil is not to be used for fried food, use Great Value Canola Oil instead, you won't be disappointed. I'm talking from experience. Overall: Great price, taste great and is highly recommended. Recommended: Yes.Nitenurce
