The flavor was bitter.
I didn't care for this olive oil. It was very bitter and thin. It was a good price though. If you like your oil a little bitter, it's for you. I did not care for it. I prefer a very olive taste, like a Greek olive taste, but this was different.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/11/2021Delicious.I've tried Amazon's own brand of EEVO in the past and wasn't impressed. One bottle was rancid and one was so completely lacking in flavor and flat that I thought it was either old or not pure EVOO. I needed olive oil and thought I'd give this a try and I'm glad I did. It tastes fresh and while it doesn't have a peppery finish it does have a full, fruity taste. Would be delicious mixed with a good-quality vinegar and some herbs for a salad dressing. This is a winner and for the very reasonable price you're getting a quality product.DLT

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/08/2016horribly bitter with chemical smellI got 2 bottles, one for a friend who could smell hexane which is a solvent sometimes used in mostly less-expensive olive oils. Maybe this was a bad batch or something but it is unusable and burned my throat when I took a few drops in my mouth. Nasty. I'm disappointed. We've used the regular Great Value Olive Oil with no problems.therica

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/07/2016Great Olive OIlFirst of all, I'm Italian and I love my olive oil in a variety of dishes. But the price for olive oil in the supermarkets is high. Then I found olive oil at Walmart and decided to give it a try. It is a superior product, tastes like the imported olive oil my mom use to buy in big cans. And having it in a plastic bottle is very convenient. You will not be unhappy with this olive oil. And your food will taste delicioso..delicious!Sweetlove

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/05/2013Gooooood stuff!!My parents always used Filippo Berio Extra Virgin olive oil, then tried store brands because of the price but always went back to FB, mind you this was in the 60's, 70's and 80's when generic was just starting up. So FB is what I used. In recent years I tried a few store brands and found they improved for the most part, stayed with them but found them lacking in that...full flavor. I thought I try this product because their spray olive oil is great. And boy was I right, this oil is just as good, if not better than name brands. It's flavor is so robust, so fruity, so tasty!!! Now lets hope they never change it like they did their coffee!!!!Joanzd
