Worth the time and research to find the right tv
We replaced a 65 inch 3D Vizio for this one just to upgrade. There was nothing wrong with the other, we had it for 8 years. It was just time to get something less bulky. The only issue I have is the sound isn't great on certain channels but we'll get a sound bar for that.

Broke after a few months
I bought it in March and it just died today, the screen started having vertical and horizontal purple and green lines like static on the screen. I did all the trouble shooting they wanted me to do. Now I have to wait 1-2 days for someone to come fix it. It's wall-mounted and out of reach and just did this out of the blue. Quite annoyed.

    So angry and frustrated!
So frustrated! Regret purchase!!!!! Constantly dealing with the vertical and horizontal lines! Most of the time! Picture quality is never good no matter how you adjust! I've already been for months talking to Vizio techs and still no help! After reading other comments on the same topic, never again! Beware people! Never again

Might be good if you can find one without damage
Screen seems very sensitive. We tried two different ones and both had significant issues with the display, big blotches and/or blocks of pixels showing or lines across the bottom. Stopped right after turning it on and returned them so can't tell you how the rest of the features performed.

After a couple months, the TV seems as if it was broken before. This TV is in our bedroom, so it has never been bumped into, dropped, or anything thrown at it by kids lol. Exactly half of it is messed up and goes out like this sometimes... I'm so sad.

Left and right of screen don't match in color
This particular TV had a flaw in the screen itself. Left half of the screen was lighter and faded looking while the right half half was dark. Was very disappointed because everything else about the TV functionality I liked. I may try ordering a slightly different model number in this series, on the theory that the flaw is just peculiar to this model. My last TV was a Vizio that I was very happy with for many years.

    No WOW factor
Not what was expected. Replaced a 55” 7 yr old LG and the picture isn't as bright which we find shocking. When the TV is off or goes dark there is a large dark blob spot right in the center that seems to disappear when watching a show. That alone is rather concerning as it's always there. Right out of the box the TV locked up during set up and we had to call Vizio tech support. We were routed to the Philippines and could hear roosters crowing while talking to the tech who was nice enough. We had to unplug the TV to get it back to working and it has since locked up 2 more times during the first week we have had it. The sound is much better than our old LG. On occasion when there is a lot of action we have noticed a bit of lag but not all the time. Football seems to be fine. It seems like it should have better clarity and be more crisp. Maybe we need to do something more with the setting or maybe it's just this TV? We tried and can't get it any better. The apps are nice we rarely have a need for our firestick anymore. This is a bottom of the line of line TV IMO and you get what you pay for. If you have the extra cash and picture quality is important then spring for something better. Time will tell if this TV lasts, I have my doubts based on what We have seen so far. It's light weight. Don't get me wrong, it's ok but it doesn't have any WOW factor that we were hoping for. Gotta get the wallet out for WOW factor!!!

    Great TV
Love the TV. It works well with our Spectrum tv service. We still struggle some in getting it going thru our Oynko home theater system and alternately thru our Roku stick. Used once with casting to the tv from an iPhone. Love the picture and 70” size!

    Deflective TV
I would rate it a zero, but it doesn't let me select "0". After 2 hours of me installing this TV, I turned it on to only see colored lines and bubbles on the screen. Right side of screen has a chip in the glass. It's junk. Very Disappointed. Come and get the defective TV. I'll buy one somewhere else.

Great picture and no sound bar needed!
We have this TV wall mounted in our guest bedroom. We normally purchase a different, also well-known brand of TV, but were anxious to try this one when we were offered it for free in exchange for our honest review. My husband and I are both TV junkies and have paid a LOT for televisions, sound bars, projectors for our media room, etc. This Vizio 55 inch TV has impressed us both. The picture is every bit as good as our others throughout the house. They've gone to the small details to make getting it out of the box and setting it up super easy. The big positive for me is that the speakers are on the bottom of the TV, which is so much better than having them on the back. LOTS of volume and control, and the remote can also be voice controlled, which is great for many reasons (thinking about my Grandmother who can much more easily tell the remote what she needs instead of finding the correct button). The onscreen instructions make it clear and easy to setup and connect to the internet. We were up and running in just a couple of minutes. We were able to use our existing wall mount and hardware without any issues at all. The only word of advice I'd give is to be mindful of how high the mount is. Measure carefully before mounting as the bracket fits pretty low on the TV, which makes it mount higher on the bracket...meaning the TV is higher on the wall. We replaced a 47 inch TV and the 55 is just an inch or so away from the ceiling. It still looks fine (see photo), but wanted to be sure to call that out. Overall, we are SUPER impressed by this TV and will definitely consider a Vizio when the time comes to purchase in the future!

    Everything i need
Let me start with all the points i experience with this tv. I al super happy and exited when i open my tv box i was little worried about packaging but packing was excellent well packed and it is very very easy to set up. You do not require two people to set up. Also setting up tv just requires 10 minutes of work. After I finished with installing my i connect with my wifi network and amazed with pictures and video quality, there are so many color and very clear pictures. The plus point is i like to play my playstation in my tv i had LED tv before but this one is different in all ways. This one has voice controlled remote for tv. Apple play and all other streaming services so i do not have to put more cables on it. Three HDMI cables is what i need :). Voice quality is clear you don't require additional speakers. They also provide free channels to enjoy. Very satisfied with my new TV.

    Beautiful Picture
Amazing picture, Very clear and no drag during motion. The sound quality is also very good. Set up was pretty painless. The only drawback to the setup was the channel search, it seems to take forever. I can't seem to get the voice remote to work. It just tells me it can't understand what I'm saying, but it gives me the same message if I say nothing after pressing the button. I'm going to have to contact customer service to see if they can help or maybe I have a bad remote. I don't really care that much about the voice remote, it was not a selling feature for me. We use Rokus on our other TVs, so when you add a new Roku device it automatically populates the apps we use from our account. This is not connected like that, so we have to add all the apps that you use individually. The simplest way would be just to continue using the Roku but I wanted to clean up the area and get rid of some wires. I will probably go back to the Roku just for simplicity. Overall I'm very happy with the TV. I was surprised at how little it weighs. This TV is 15 inches larger than the last TV I had and it weighs half as much.

    Beautiful Telly
I am in awe of my new Vizio 55 inch 4K UHD Quantum Smart Cast Smart TV! I have another old clunky Vizio that we still use daily so I know they last forever, and I was more than happy to get another, more updated Vizio! I am so enjoying every thing about this television. The fact that I can just speak into the remote control is major to me and it works with most voice assistants. There are so many built in apps, pretty much every streaming service you might need. It also comes with free streaming channels which is great for those who cannot or do not subscribe to streaming services. The television easily connects to your phone or other devices so you can share your photos or videos with no problem. The colors on this thing are amazing! It is 4k so it looks as if every thing is actually happening right before your eyes. It is pretty trippy to see how beautiful the images on this television become. This is a fabulous gaming television for those reasons. I honestly do not care for the automatic updates as I prefer to do things like that myself on my time, but that is the only negative that I can think of. As always, Vizio is high quality at a wonderful and affordable price.

    Wonderful TV for Streaming
I couldn't wait to get this TV out of the box and I wasn't disappointed. Wonderful picture and great sound. Fantastic for gaming. Works perfectly with Alexa and the voice remote is so convenient. Keep in mind that this TV does not have a tuner so you have to rely on streaming. Lots of free TV available via streaming.

Lives Up to the Claims, Plus Free Channels!
This review is for the Vizio M Series Quantum 55” television. It's a 4k television with Dolby vision and Quantum color. It comes preloaded with a good number of apps and has built in Chromecast & works with “Hey Google.” It also says it includes hundreds of Free Streaming Channels and I can verify there are a lot including Ion, NFL, Reelz, Hallmark Movies etc. I couldn't get to the set-up guide (it's online) as the link and QR code didn't work but if you have ever set up a newer television it honestly isn't needed anyway to attach the feet, plug in the cable and turn on the TV which walks you through everything on screen anyway. The rest can be figured out by exploring. The real challenge came with setting up Wi-Fi. It literally took me 47 minutes. I tried to set it up directly to my router 2.4 and 5 and my extender at 2.4 and 5. My phone was sitting right next to the television & was connected to Wi-Fi so I'm not sure what the problem was but thankfully it connected. To be fair, I do sometimes have connection issues so I suppose it could have been my internet. Without Wi-Fi, I could not get the TV to work even when I opted to skip Wi-Fi setup. Also, without accepting Vizio and Googles terms/conditions you can't use any of the streaming services. There is no opting out. You accept or don't use it. Once I had WIFI connected I could get to the home screen. It took me a bit to figure out how to get to my cable without the set-up guide, go to input and check the correct HDMI port. Right out of the box the colors were a bit dull so I adjusted the picture settings & WOW programs are crystal clear with bright, vibrant colors. While the picture and colors are great, what I like best about this television are the audio options. I need hearing aids and when noisy scenes and music are playing during dialog, I typically can't hear what is being said no matter how loud I turn up the sound. While this TV has a lot of digital audio features, I love the dialogue enhancer which you can set to low, medium or high to help clarify the voice when characters are speaking. It doesn't replace hearing aids but it does help me hear the dialog better. Volume leveling, which doesn't always work, works well on this TV! What I have never seen on a TV is lip sync and funny enough I wish I had this in the past. If the lip sync setting works it's brilliant. If watching a show where the sound track is off from the image it syncs them. I have had this happen more than once when watching streaming shows and it's so annoying. The remote has a voice option which is handy and it streams video and movies really well. The one thing I wish it had was a lighted remote as it is impossible to see the buttons at night when the room is dark. I am not a gamer but would guess this would be ideal for them due to the V gaming engine, IQ active processor, and the variable refresh rate. There are plenty of connection ports. 3 HDMI including one eARC dedicated sound bar connection, two other general HDMI, and one USB 2.0(900 mA). There are is also an optical audio out, one ethernet, two component ports for left and right audio and one for video. Finally, there is an antenna connection and the TV does scan during set up for local channels. I have only had this TV for two days so I have not been using it for very long but so far, I really like it!

Great picture quality and gaming engine
I love the picture quality and gaming engine that is the reason why I got this TV in the first place. The gaming engine allows me to play Xbox one games on live faster. Comes with tons of apps to choose from. I spent the first two hours after setting it up looking at all the cool stuff. It is very easy to set up. Do you still watch antenna TV like me I will give you a hint on the remote control. As you can see there are no numerical buttons. So that leaves you the option of turning the channels either up or down. Here is the secret because modern technology does not give out handbooks anymore. Click on the enter button while watching antenna TV and a numerical keypad will pop up on the screen allowing you to choose the channel you want easier. If you do not know where the enter button is you are a dinosaur it is the middle circular button surrounded by four buttons that go up down left and right. Hope this helps you!
